I happened to be shopping for a used car and this place was the first one i visited, everything was going smoothly until I tell the guy i need time to think about the price, i wasnt even haggling about it, all i said was "i need time to think about it, it's my first car so". He immediately ripped off the paper with my info on it and swear if I comeback tomorrow he will sell it to me 150$ higher than the marked price. Im sure you find it hard to believe but it actually happened. I'm not sure this was his sale tactic or he's treating me based on my race. Nonetheless, this is not how you treat your customer. I say this because I had the same experience as them. I went there to look for a car I saw online. I told the guy I am paying cash and we sat down in his office. He never told me his name, but he was a middle aged Punjabi guy. The car was around $33,000. I was willing to buy it the same day except he told me my payments will be about $505 a month. I asked why he said because of the extended warranty which I wasn't even aware of. I asked him to take that off and I don't need it to which he responded to " OH NO THIS IS MANDATORY AND YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT. MINIMUM 1 YEAR AT LEAST FOR $3000 AS THIS IS COMPANY POLICY" I have never heard of a company police where you have to take extended warranty. I said I don't want it rather just buy the car he flat out told me no I have to take it or he cant sell me the car. So I walked out and said thank you. I later called to speak to the manager but one of the financial advisors answered so I asked him if its the company policy to buy extended warranty and he said no its optional so I explained what happened earlier and asked to talk to the manager and he said no the manager is gone they are closed but it was 30 min before closing and he just went quiet when I told him that. He then told me he works in finance and is not sure about what the policies are and hung up. Now with that being said it has happened to a lot of other people, there is no way these guys have such high reviews unless they are friends or ppl they may have paid to say these things. i had 2 bad experiences with them. I Called about a car to test drive. Alan booked me an appt to come at 330pm for the following day. When I arrived he said to wait so he could check on the car cuz the windshield was being replaced and that it will be ready soon and just to check out the cars in the store While he gets back to me. I waited for 45mins. No car. Infact he even forgot about me cuz the look on his face when he saw me after I paged him. i still wanted to see the car so I called a few days later asking to test drive the car. This time I was speaking with Alan who assured me the car was ready so we made arrangements to view the car. I took the day off and spoke to him on the phone that morning confirming I was on my way. Well halfway there he calls me to say the car is not ready until 5pm!!! So again i wasted gas and time because they didn't care to check if the car is even available. Communicated via email, text and email to inquire and make arrangements to see and test drive an advertised 2017 Mazda CX5 as we drove in a distance from Peterborough. Vehicle was not there even if we waited. Did not show us anything else, didn't even try even though I was open to the idea. Alan stated vehicle was just being detailed and would send pics. NOTHING! I would never recommend anyone ever buy a car from this dealership. I purchased a truck off them under two years ago I am still paying for the truck and barely drive it. Since I got the truck I've had to replace the water pump, Alternator, calibers ,breaks, tires ,battery, electrical problems. When you try to call the dealership they're rude and try and dismiss you by saying when you buy a used car that's the chances you take, and that's wear and tear. Be very careful!! They are very shady. Sold us a car and check engine light came on in the first half hour. Found out it was the catalytic converter. How could it have passed an etest? This made us question the whole business, and the car itself. We told the car lot that if they paid $100 for OUR mechanic to look it over and we could get a thumbs up from our guy, then we would still want the car. They got real spooked about another mechanic looking at it. They refused. They told us to bring back the car and they would refund our money. Very weird that they wouldn't pay $100 for a $23000 deal. recently bought a 2014 acura mdx in August 2018 I put less then 2k on the car and it started giving me collision power steering problems made alot of noise in the front. So I called the dealership was giving to Ray the service manager to speak with. First he told me bring the vehicle on Thursday I texted him for the address no response. Friday comes along I go right to the dealer in the car that was dangerous to drive and he finally says he will take it in and have a look at it. I called on Saturday to see what was wrong he said hes not sure sometimes mice can chew up the wires might just be an electric problem. I said to him I've only had the car for less then 2 months theres no way a mouse chewed on the wires. He said hes still not sure what the problem is they need to open up the compartment it's a big job. I asked how much will thos cost is it under warranty he said he will let me know. Following monday i get a call saying cars fixed I have to pay 500 dollars and it was chewed up wires causing the problem. Went in tuesday there was another gentlemen in the door way who was also complaining about his car and another older women by the front desk who sounded upset about her car and stormed out. That gave me signs of what was really going on so I asked Ray for my car nicely and said I just bought the vehicle theres no way a mouse has chewed up the wires mind you I park my car in the underground parking with a bunch of cars not once has this happend to any of my cars. He told me i cant take the vehicle until i pay yet he never told me the charges previously. I booked an appointment with the acura dealership in maple had them check my car they used after market parts for brakes rotaters my back shames where hitting the rotars as they where broken also my car a month earlier from when I bought it went in for electric service. I contacted omvic which is a program to help customers with their rights in the law. I was told my car had warranty everything under the hood covers that was false too. I'm asking for warranty on my electric as this will cost me big bucks and my 500 refunded and have all the after market parts of my car to be replaced with acuras. It's only fair everyone agrees besides autorama. Their not genuinely nice people they will tell u they dont care after they sell u a car i'm surprised there still in business. I exchanged my number with the other gentlemen as he never knew about the omvic program I felt bad for him they removed pieces under his hood without his consent and the car still is not working good. My reason for giving AutoRama a positive review as well as 5 stars was made possible by Ace Magre, Senior Credit Analyst. I was there simply to get a new car, nothing more and nothing less. Before coming here I was given the run around by another dealership and aside from my expectation to have the same done to me here, I decided to suck it up and give them a shot. Now, you must understand my surprise when Ace didn't do the talking to begin with. The man simple sat there and listened to all my concerns, my financial status and what it was that I was looking for in a vehicle in the long run, but most importantly, what I was willing to spend. Afterwards he told me a very clear and concise means of progressing without running into too much troubles; (super high interest rates, massive monthly payments or even a substantial down payment-ended up paying just over 1k), where financing was concerned. By the end of our initial meeting I had already narrowed down on two cars that met my criteria(at least 2011 and must be a sedan that can accommodate a 2 year old's shenanigans) and that were very affordable and even allowed for some wiggle room within my budget. 48 hours later I heard the great news that I was approved for a financing option that would make it possible for me to change to a better vehicle, more luxurious and suitable one, within about a year. All I had to do was come in, sign a few papers, and drive off the parking lot. Ace really made a simple process out of the whole thing and he was very honest and told me what I had to do in terms of money management, making certain payments were on time and remained very open and flexible even after I had brought the car home. I have since kept in touch and have given a multitude of people Autorama's number. PJ maintenance manager removed the battery light. tried to sell me warranty after i came in with a problem they say the cars are inspected but that is a lie. they are only checked for safety purposes & then certified. oil as is when you buy - dirty or clean my point - if the previous owner took care of the car then you got yourself a good car if they didn't all the problem of the car is on you. i now have to fix my car out of pocket :( but thank god i found help. i wouldn't go back there saving myself the headache ( buy new car) read more

From my experience quality of the cars were better specially that all their cars are parked indoor and cleaned to perfection. I came here wanting to buy a few cars. Each time, i saw over priced cars that had many hidden problems. Finally, my dad got tired of looking and waiting so he decided just to buy a car. Once we had payed, he found a few issues and the salesman said we cant do anything, and basically no one cared. I asked the salesman to get the car detailed(if he could) and to change the oils and w.e else needed to be changed, he said that is fine they always do these things anyways. When i got the car, the front brakes/rotors were changed, none of the oils were changed or even at their right levels, and the rear rotors/brakes were not even good enough to pass safety(which i was told by honda since i didnt check because i believed the salesman). The owner was a total ass, and to him only 1 person was the customer, and any family/friends can go eff themselves. I saw him telling another customer's brother that his brother(whom he called "the customer") had already seen the car and it was fine, no need to see the car. He disrespected my father, and talked down to him(which somehow he didnt notice) and he was a total d***. Well, Ive seen many other bad reviews, but sadly it was after I bought my car. I wont lie, many people get proper cars, but these guys do have a lot of scams up their sleeves. If you buy a car from here, get it inspected, make sure you check it out completely inside/out. Any problems that arise once you sign the papers dont matter because they say youve "seen" it and youve signed the papers for what youve seen. complaint about Autorama (on Finch Ave West) They had made a mistake in their advertising about a vehicle. I went in to see the vehicle when the ad was active on Autotrader. The salesperson said they would honor the price. When I went back to finalize the deal they said they would not honor the price that was advertised wrong even though they had agreed to it and I even still had a copy of the ad. The correct price was $500 more and that they could not honor it that the head office said no. This seems like false advertising to me. They refused to accept their mistake even after they had agreed in the first place to honor the advertisement. read more

UPDATE: The car I purchased showed signs of heavy abuse and wear that gradually became apparent after the first year of ownership. After I spent $7000 in repairs (on a $9000 car) it suffered another failure, to the tune of $3000. I have now decided it's beyond economical repair at 7 years old/ 188km and parked it for good. Now I don't believe any car dealer intentionally wants to sell junk, and what they buy at auction is sometimes just as much of a gamble for them as it is for the consumer, so I pulled my own UVIP to see if there was anything Autorama might have missed reviewing the Carfax. Hmmm... after the first owner traded it in back to the selling dealership at 15 months old, it spent 9 months there and ran up 4000km. Great. I'm betting I bought a former service department loaner, and that's where it got so horribly treated. So a downgrade of a couple stars for an unlucky/ ill-advised selection at the auction. read more
