I first tried this shop to get an oil change upon moving here 4 years ago simply because my…read moreapartment gave me a coupon book with this business included... what a great coupon it turned out to be. I never took my other car anywhere else for service. Customer service is amazing; you will never feel like "maybe he is trying to take advantage of me because I don't know anything about cars." They are honest and kind; they will look at your car and provide a true assessment before trying to charge you. I don't go here that often now because I have a newer car and the dealership included basic maintenance for a few years with my purchase. However for anything else... I go here first. I don't even want to give my money to any other auto repair place because they are more than deserving of the business. When I had a large plastic bag stuck under my car, I asked if they could lift it to see if there was more leftover that I could not reach. They did so and didn't even charge me for it. Recently, my tire needed a patch and they provided a recommendation to another place because it is not a service they offer. Again I'm grateful they could provide that recommendation because I really didn't want to go anywhere besides here and wouldn't have trusted anywhere I found on my own. Warning: They are amazing and it's no secret to others in the area, which means they are of course busy. If you need something simple like an oil change, be there before they open (I would always go on Saturday early morning and it wouldn't take too long). Or you could be more responsible than myself and make an appointment. Otherwise just be patient and know they are worth the wait because they really provide quality service true to the name.

To cut down on cost we ordered the parts and was willing to pay for labor cost. The prices we got, some was saying "stick em up " others were reasonable. But as time flew by the tone of each mechanic were either silent or up there prices on us. Moving to yesterday I reached out to 5 more mechanics from Google read the reviews and dialed (also text) nothing responses. Something told me let's try yelp especially since I'm an elite helper why not. We came across Mike, within minutes we got a reply and an amazing price. He came same day took out the old Compressor and installed the new one. The work was very professional and very honest person. He is definitely knowledgeable of what he is doing and what is needed. He gained a new customer and we're scheduling our next thing needed for our vehicle. He is what the world is missing an honest mechanic that is for the people not robbing the people. Kudos Mike's mobile Mechanics.

I have been in Tampa for 30 years, and I came here from the East Pasco area. Having a business up…read morethere for decades, I knew all the people to go to for good service when I needed it, whether it was a doctor, a mechanic, a painter...I knew where to go. Until I retied, I had all my auto work done up there, so when I ended my commute, I knew I needed to find good, reliable people to do business with here. Checking the various websites out there, I came uI had some apparent problems with my Kia Sorento, and not being super sharp on engines these days with all the electronics involved, the check engine light came on and sometimes would go out. Other times, it would stay on for days. I did a bit of reading on the internet, and it did say that you could possibly have that occur because of the gas cap not being property tightened. The instructions in the manual tell you to screw the cap tight until it clicks once. Well, this cap quit clicking a long time ago, but the light being on would not happen all the time. I was surfing the internet one day and came across a diagnostic device called FIXD, only $19.95. so I bought one to see what is said. Once plugged in, I ran the app on my cell and it gave me two diagnostic codes, of which was red flagged with a warning to drive as little as possible until corrected. Very concerned, I took my car here this morning because of the reviews I read, and I can tell you with authority, I spent 30 years in the insurance business dealing with customers getting cars, home appliances, and electronics repaired. My insureds would depend on me to direct them where to go for repairs because it's a field ripe for dishonesty where people charge for unnecessary repairs and do so because the public doesn't know any better. But agents hear about what are the good apples as well as the suspected bad ones. Sometimes the bad ones are super obvious. I can say with authority, HONESTY IS SPOKEN here. They have a customer in me for life. It appears the owner is a hands-on guy and does or supervises the repairs himself. He got similar readings that I did, but his knowledge and experience told him that the readings were erroneous and were caused by the ill-fitting gas cap. What was next? He advised me to get a factory original gas cap to assure a correct fit, something that could be hit or miss with an after market cap. How much for sharing that knowledge with me? "No charge, sir. Just tell folks about me." I could not be more thankful that I'm not digging into my meager retirement savings to solve this, something I likely would have had happen going to another garage. If you need your car reliably, honestly repaired by a company with integrity, this is your destination. Thank you so much, Carrollwood Auto Repair!

The estimate was outrageous for such a small dent, so I decided not to have it repaired. Today I found out that it was reported to CARFAX. There was no accident, no police report, no insurance claim, and no repair was done. This auto shop was the only place I went for an estimate. I highly recommend to stay away from this shady business. I wish I had never stepped my foot in there.

I'm not sure what else this guy wanted. To this date, he never provided an estimate. Original: Wasted my time and never provided an estimate. I arrived to get a quick estimate for a simple repair. All they did was taking a bunch of pictures, asking questions, requested my information, and lastly asked me to step into the office and fill out paperwork. I didn't have time to fill out paperwork. I also don't understand why he would need information such as my address before he was even hired. I left my name and phone number and the guy said he will text an estimate shortly. He never did. A few days later I went to a different shop. They gave me a price right away. Just a simple quote for a simple repair.
