Long story short our AC Compressor stop working so no cold air blowing. Over the past few weeks we've been comparing prices with commercial and mobile mechanics. To cut down on cost we ordered the parts and was willing to pay for labor cost. The prices we got, some was saying "stick em up " others were reasonable. But as time flew by the tone of each mechanic were either silent or up there prices on us. Moving to yesterday I reached out to 5 more mechanics from Google read the reviews and dialed (also text) nothing responses. Something told me let's try yelp especially since I'm an elite helper why not. We came across Mike, within minutes we got a reply and an amazing price. He came same day took out the old Compressor and installed the new one. The work was very professional and very honest person. He is definitely knowledgeable of what he is doing and what is needed. He gained a new customer and we're scheduling our next thing needed for our vehicle. He is what the world is missing an honest mechanic that is for the people not robbing the people. Kudos Mike's mobile Mechanics. read more

I hired him for a pre purchase inspection. His quote was a bit higher than others but from the first time we spoke I could tell that I would be paying for quality and convenience. I found him to be very professional and thorough. He is very honest and knows what he is doing. I was so confident in his work that after the purchase I drove the vehicle from Tampa to Raleigh without issue. I was originally going to have it transported. So in the end, he saved me money! read more

Mike was A+ and came through in a much needed pinch. My 80yo mother's car wouldn't start and I'm in another state. Called Mike and he was able to get out to her place right away, quickly diagnose the problem (battery issue), and immediately get her car running again. Communicated with me all along the way and was extremely polite to my mother while he fixed the issue. All wrapped up in less than an hour. 100% would recommend Mike. Top notch. read more

Mike was terrific doing a pre-purchase inspection of my Jeep Wrangler and appreciate he came to me!

Since day one when I reached out Michael was professional and friendly. Took a few days to be able to come by and perform the service, but it wasn't his fault we just couldn't find the parts that we needed. Overall great communication, great service, punctual and fair pricing. Great guy, will do business with him again. Thanks! read more

The positive battery terminal on my 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse had completely corroded over time and needed to be replaced. I sent Mike a request via Yelp and he responded promptly in the morning, came out in the afternoon as promised, removed and cleaned up around the terminal, ran over to a parts store to get the new terminal, put the new part in and I was good to go in less than an hour. He's very good, very HONEST, and a truly pleasant person as well. Just charged me his standard minimum and for the part (at cost). Highly recommend Mike and will definitely contact him first for any future repair needs. read more

Need a car repair? Want it cheaper than your local garage? Want it done well and fast? Clear communication and pricing? If you said yes to any of these then Mike's the guy to call. I had issues with my brake pads and honestly don't know a ton about cars. Mike got ahold of me after I submitted a project. Communication was quick and clear, even after I forgot to message back. He replaced all four brake pads for less than half the price that local garages are charging and in about an hour and a half. All while I was in my home and working on college coursework. Much better than sittin around and watching infomercials in an uncomfortable chair. Perfect 10/10. read more

This whole time I thought squishy brakes were normal for my 17 year old suburban but Mike proved me wrong. He replaced my brake pads and rotors including one seized caliper for a whole lot more inexpensive than a dealership or local shop would. He was quick and efficient and took the time to explain everything he was doing. He has excellent customer service and went above and beyond on making sure my brake job was completed. Thank you for everything Mike, you'll have a lifelong customer here. This proves good and honest people still exist. read more

I contacted Mike's Mobile Mechanics, via Yelp, as the search says they do engine replacement and they are highly rated. I never got a response. I got responses from an auto dealership and a transmission shop, when I didn't contact either of THOSE businesses. For some reason, Yelp decided to share my inquiry with other businesses totally unrelated to the one I chose. Bad form from Yelp and equally bad form from Mike's, for not responding. -- Mike's response was: 1 - I get over a dozen inquiries a day, it's impossible to respond to all, I didn't respond to yours as I wasn't interested in the Job. 2 - I am 100% mobile and am not interested in replacing your engine in your driveway. 3 - If I was to provide you poor service I'd allow this review to slide. But as we both know I've not serviced your vehicle so you've got no right to even leave me a review." -- 1-You can't make 12-15 five minute calls per day? That's sad. -- 2-If you don't do engine replacements, blame Yelp for this. You came up as the #1 result on my search for "automotive engine replacement." -- 3-My review was for your customer service, which INCLUDES communication (or lack thereof), so the review stands. read more
