He was straightforward with us, agreed with me on my guess (it was the starter), and gave us an accurate quote. Barcadi's team quickly sourced and replaced the starter, and noticed the brakes were in desperate need of pad replacement. The total price was not bad at all! After having gone to a dealership and told my car was going to be pretty much inoperable because of the transmission needing to be replaced outright, I was beginning to panic. We reached out to this shop over the phone to just schedule getting my vehicle looked at to see what repairs needed to be done and of the transmission could simply be repaired (or needed to be completed replaced). Luckily when we came in the mechanic was thorough and we found out that the transmission was fine and would be for a good while still. The next order of business would be to get my AC fixed by getting a quote for that. The inspection and ac repair cost me about 900 dollars (give ir take). But they also did some other minor repairs just because, such as fixing the fuses in my car to get the lights working, air in the tires, car realignment, tires rotated and air put in. We had a short time frame to try to get the ac fix and there was some issues finding the right sized pieces to fix it, but after the first, second and third try, she was as good as new. The front desk was also very nice when I had any questions and worked with my schedule to get this all done. I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs repairs on their vehicle and is looking for a reputable mechanic that won't price gauge you for themselves.

Buyer beware: Jiffy Lube damaged my car and refused to take responsibility…read more I took my car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change a few months back. During the service, the manager told me that the technician had accidentally stripped the drain plug. I was told they were working on a solution. About 30 minutes later, I was told they had re-tapped the drain and that the car was good to go. I trusted what I was told and left. At my next oil change, I discovered that they had not re-tapped the drain as I was told. Instead, a permanent plug had been installed. The manager had me visit the full-service Fowler store, where I was told someone would fix the issue. I made the trip, only to have the garage refuse to even inspect the car. After multiple emails, texts and calls, I eventually spoke with an area manager. Despite the fact that their technician damaged the drain plug and I was specifically told the issue had been repaired, Jiffy Lube ultimately refused to correct the problem. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company handles them. In this case, Jiffy Lube damaged my car, gave me inaccurate information about the repair, sent me to another location that wouldn't help, and ultimately refused to take responsibility. It cost me $1,076 dollars to replace the oil pan this week. I'd strongly recommend Tampa consumers think twice before trusting local Jiffy Lubes with their vehicle. Keep your receipts, document everything, and don't assume that a problem they cause will be taken care of.
