Javier was the best!!! I just moved here and was looking for a good spot and saw great reviews for Take 5 in Kennedy. Great service and such kind people!!! read more

Darron was amazing. Got an oil and filter change for much cheaper than dealer and quicker. Great service!

The guy who greeted me was very friendly but that was the only positive experience of this trip. They told me it would take 15 minutes total for the oil change. After 25 minutes with no acknowledgement that I even exist, and of sitting in my car, which I was, understandably told to turn off, and of course, then had to roll the windows down because it's Florida. They're blasting terrible and super explicit music (it didn't so much offend me but there was a young child in a car 2 bays over). It was totally inappropriate at any business other than a club, but they didn't care one bit about the kid. I also get that guys listen to music in the shop...but customers don't sit in the car like this while it's being worked on in most shops. They had five guys milling around, half of whom were just hitting on the customer next to me. I asked when they were gonna start my oil change and they said they "only" had three people working. I counted 5 and how many people do you need to change oil??? If just one of these guys had been actually working instead of randomly blowing air out of the compressors every 4 or 5 minutes for no reason, they could have knocked out all three cars in the time I waited for them to just pop my hood. It was the weirdest experience watching them act like they were working. It would have been funny if i didn't want to waste an hour and a half waiting on my day off. So the employee told me that I should just change it myself. Can you believe that? Being spoken to at a business like that? Apparently they don't want money. Must be a new business model I'm not familiar with. So I did, I went straight home and changed it in my driveway. It's sad, because I've gone to the Take 5 on S. Dale Mabry and they were good. I even have had my oil changed in a location in NY while on a trip. This crew today, however, ruined the entire company for me. Never going back. read more

I never waited almost 2-hrs for my fluids to be checked & they're cameras all inside so management can watch my red Toyota Corolla sit in the middle bay while they left some young white chick jump ahead of me on the left in a white SUV. read more

Whenever I need a oil change or get new windshield wipers, I just go to Take 5 which is more convenient than taking the vehicle to the dealership. So, when I went on Sunday, I waited for a few minutes and the service guy told me the wait be a little long because a couple of people called out. It was just 2 of them working. I needed an oil change which didn't take long at all. I was asked if I needed anything else and got the air filter changed. Everything turned out great. read more

My boy Darreon always gets me right! The customer service here is always top notch. Darreon is informative WITHOUT being pushy of service, which I appreciate. Even if there's a long line, I'll still choose to wait and get my car serviced here before going anywhere else. There is alway coupons too on the website that I would recommend checking out. Thank you!! read more

Good quality service. George & Earl were polite and efficient. Had to wait a while... but that tells you this place is good and worth waiting for service. Will go back when next oil change needed! read more

I've come here a couple times and I have to say they have some of the nicest guys working here. They are nothing but helpful and efficient. When you drive up they offer cold water. If you don't know anything about cars these guys will explain what they did and what you may need done. I didn't know how to check oil level and the guy showed me in a very kind and patient way. Thank you so much!!!!!! read more

This was genuinely one of the best service experiences I have had in 32 years -- and it happened at Take 5 in Tampa while I was getting my oil changed and windshield taken care of. Yes, they were busy and there was a bit of a wait, but what stood out was how I was treated from the moment I arrived. It is rare these days to walk into a business and feel such a warm, genuine welcome. Every single employee I interacted with was kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly hospitable. I worked directly with Jax, who was outstanding -- but what impressed me even more was realizing it wasn't just him. It was the entire crew. That kind of consistency says everything about the leadership and culture at this location. To the company: please take care of the men working at your Tampa location on March 23, 2026. You don't just have good employees -- you have a team of individuals who take initiative, create an exceptional customer experience, and represent your brand at a level that is increasingly rare to find. I live in Dunedin, Florida, and I will absolutely continue making the drive here because I feel taken care of and confident that my money is well spent. These are the kinds of employees people hope to find -- and rarely do. This team deserves to be recognized. read more

My first time coming to this shop. I went in for an oil change it took maybe ten minutes. Javier did a great job. He was super knowledgeable and had great customer service skills. Very transparent as well showed me the oil stick when they were done and talk abt pricing w me before. The other employees were also nice and very welcoming. Overall 10/10. Great staff and this will be my go to place from now on! read more

The staff at Take 5 Oil Change is stellar. They offered me a water right when I got here. They knew what I was talking about and even recommended another place for me to go for another service I needed. All the bays were full when I got there and they made quick work. The juice is worth the squeeze. read more

Oil Change in Tampa, FL at 2355 West Hillsborough Avenue Had the laziest people working ! It's ridiculous how common it is to have these employees look for things so they won't be able to have to do a job. Multiple times I had to explain myself and still the employee wants to make an excuse not to work.. it's just ridiculous of how much time I waste because people people do not want to do their job jobs read more

I came to take 5 for an oil change (as I normally do) and was serviced by Nick ( the on duty manager). I expressed concerns with a couple of things with my vehicle due to the mileage and not only did he assist me with those concerns but he went above and beyond to make sure it was at a price that fit my budget. By the time he was finished not only did I get my oil changed but I also recieved a coolant flush, a new cabin filter & new wiper blades and was given a $100 discount on my services. Nick went out of his way to make sure that all of my concerns were addressed and made sure that it was done at an af price. Go see Nick attacked 5 in Hudson Fl. Tell him Misty sent you! read more

Take 5 Oil Change - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Tampa, Florida

Wish i read the reviews before we stopped here. David, the "manager???", was training a new person the day we came. And it took more than an hour for the actual oil changed process when we pulled up. This isn't even counting the WAITING TIME. There were 5 cars waiting behind us and David is just laughing and texting and being so slow in training his employees. read more

I was given exceptional service by Darreon and George! Not only did they complete my oil change and related checks thoroughly and in a timely manner, Darreon also provided me with helpful suggestions for my car. 5/5 stars for sure, I'll be coming back for future work and top-offs! Great value for the price, I used a coupon online for 25% off! read more

If you value your time do not bother. Sat for over an hour with one car in front of me just to get into the bay and sit another 20 minutes before having my car touched. Multiple people vocally complained during my visit for the slow and care free demeanor the techs displayed even walking away to go on their phones multiple times. Total time over TWO hours... Absolute joke. read more

Leaving this review is unfortunate. I have been a customer of this place for years since they opened and never had anything but excellent customer service. Today I just tried to get an oil change and they told me it would be just a second which was no problem they were busy. They completely ignored me. I sat there for several minutes and they never even acknowledged me. I was going to add on extra items. I guess I will find a different location so unfortunate. read more

Waited almost 35 min just for a top off. Couldn't leave due to being pinned in from behind. Workers appeared non motived and as all 3 bays were dull, only worked on one car at a time. No apologies for taking so long, (infact didn't even bring it up. Topp off check was inadequate seemed very rushed and not complete. This stop made me wonder what good is getting an oil change here if they don't seem to care about my car or my time. Commercial they used about fast is a joke! read more

Darryll and his team do an amazing job here. He spent time educating me on what is best for my car specifically as well as giving pointers on how to manage my vehicle so that it lasts for as long as possible. Darryll and his team completed a very thorough inspection and helped me realize that I was missing my cabin filters that we were able to add in. Overall I am extremely impressed with Darryll's knowledge and service as well as the value I received here. He did his absolute best to ensure that I had a great oil change experience. I would recommend this Take 5 to anyone. Thanks again, Darryll! read more

One of the better locations I've been to for sure. Darrean is very professional and the team communicated efficiently while working on my vehicle. Highly recommend this location over others I've been to. read more

Lesson of the day: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR to Take 5 oil change on Erlich Road. I went there to get my oil changed and the air filter swapped out. As soon as we left, my car died in the middle of Erlich Road! Putting me and my daughter in danger of possibly getting rear ended and it was raining so badly! I had to get my car towed to Toyota. Thank God Triple A got there within 15 minutes! I found out they broke a component that flows the air to my engine and that's why my car locked down. A 388 dollar mistake that they made and leaving me without a car. The only reason I am not completely angry about this is because Troy provided excellent customer service. I would have came back, but not ever again! read more

908 Cortez Rd, Bradenton, FL Wait time for service was excessive, nearly an hour. The technician confirmed the previous technician at Take 5 at 6606 14th St W damaged the threads of the oil pan which would require a replacement but no offer was made for such. I expect corrective actions to be taken at no expense to me. read more

Took my VW Jetta to this location to get an oil change before heading from Tampa to Ft. Lauderdale for the weekend. It wasn't long after I was back in St. Pete from my trip that my transmission went out. Immediately went to the Take 5 on 4th street in St. Pete and was told the oil drain plug wasn't put on correctly and that caused a complete oil leakage from the engine. They gave me a new oil change for free. Took my car to our family mechanic and confirmed transmission and turbo needed to be replaced. Called Take 5 on Kennedy and explained what happened and was offered a refund for my original oil change. They did not take responsibility for what happened. Looking back, I should have escalated the issue to Corporate. Instead, I ended up with over $6K in out-of-pocket expenses to fix my vehicle. read more

Beware!! They will mess up your car. They do not stand behind their work. They stripped my son's oil valve and refused to fix it.

Fast service and wonderful staff! Generally come during my lunch break and have never waited more than 45 min. I always love talking to the workers here, they are always so friendly & seem very happy to work here! The shop is always clean and tidy (well, as tidy as an auto shop can be...). Definitely recommend! read more

Usually have a fine experience here. Today I came at about 9:15 and waited a full hour before they even started working on my car. Daryll who was working was not in a pleasant mood and was yelling at the other worker CJ about something cussing very loudly. He also kept taking breaks leaving CJ alone and checking his phone. This may have been business related but either way he was overall super unprofessional and unfriendly. CJ was great and apologized for the wait. Definitely should have more than 2 people working at this location. read more

Very kind workers and excellent service. They kept me in the loop throughout the oil change and made this an enjoyable experience. I would return to this location again. read more

I have been going to Take 5 Oil Change off Kennedy for the last three of my oil changes and they do such an amazing job, I figure they deserve a shoutout. I pull up and the guys immediately assist me. As a woman who knows little about car mechanics, it's easy to get the feeling the car guy might be trying to scam you. Not here. They even give me tips on how not to get ripped off by other car places. They even noticed I had my check engine light on (which does not have anything to do with an oil change) and they told me where to go to get it fixed and what to ask for. Great customer service is all about going that extra mile (no pun intended) This was such useful and kind information. These guys are the best and I highly recommend. read more

I was greeted very nicely when I first pulled up, but took 45 minutes before they even pulled me in and another 10 minutes to acknowledge me again. After nearly an hour, they finally got started on my car. They told me that I had to have the full premium synthetic oil which was twice the price. So I pulled out my previous oil change receipt and showed that I just had the regular 5W20. They said they don't recommend that for any cars after 2006, and said that I would have to sign a waiver if they were to put the regular oil in my car (a Hyundai Elantra). Thank goodness, I insisted on the regular and then pulled out my owners manual and showed them that regular 5W20 was the recommended oil. After I pulled out the manual the guy was mad that I didn't fall for his upsell and walked away. When I was finally done, I told the other guy how inappropriate it was that the first guy, Alex, lied to me about needing the premium oil. At that time, Alex saw me talking to that guy and said "get her ass out of here." I told him I would quote him on that on my review, and he bragged that he was the assistant manager, so it didn't matter. Please do not go here! They lie to you and try to upsell, even when you have the documents to prove that you don't need it. And then him telling me what he did, even the other guy was shocked at how terribly he was treating me. read more

I took my car to Ehrlich Rd store for an oil change. After a while the manager got under my car because the employees couldn't take the plug out. The manager got under the car to take it out and hit the plug with a hammer and everything she had! At this point I was asking what was going on. AFTER 45 MINUTES OF WAITING SHE TOLD ME "I HAVEN'T WORKED SO HARD IN A LONG TIME" right now my car it's been in front of my driveway leaking oil, nobody answers in the store or in corporate. DON"T GO TO THIS PLACE. IT IS A NIGHTMARE! read more
