Professional and Trustworthy Mechanic. Automotive Master's definitely saved me a lot of time and trouble the past few years as I've had a couple of car crises, including a major one last week. The owner has gone out of his way to facilitate repairs several times, physically shown me what the problems were and what he needed to fix them or recommended that I do, and was flexible/considerate of my timing needs. I would not recommend this auto shop. I had been going there out of convenience for several years and never had any major issues with my car, but when I went to get some maintenance done the quote provided seemed insanely high to me. Immediately after the insane quote was provided to me the owner told me he didn't think it was worth it to do the maintenance and tried to sell me a car (shady!). Not feeling good about it, I took my car to another shop for a second opinion. The cost quoted to me for the same work was ONE QUARTER of what Automotive Masters quoted me. Since this incident, I discovered that two of my coworkers used to go to Automotive Masters and had a similar experience as me. Seems to be a trend with this place. We are extremely satisfied with the work provided by Jere. He's reliable, friendly, and will honestly tell you what needs done, with no extras thrown in. He even keeps the old parts to show you why it needed replaced. We have been faithful customers since he opened. He's even willing to go the extra mile to be sure the job is done right. He helped us keep a car running that had 215,000 miles on it! If someone else can provide a service cheaper, he'll tell you! He's is very reasonable and ten thousand times better than a dealer!! I have been going to Jere at Automotive Masters since 2007 and it's just what I want in an auto shop. (1) A guy who has many years of experience, not like the big box repair shops with a mechanic just out of school. (2) A family shop where you can tell they are proud of their store. (3) Not a cheap price, but a fair price, I never have to go back because the repair wasn't done right. (4) I can get an inspection and go out of there with just an inspection charge and know that he isn't charging me for something that isn't broken. (5) Ability to schedule the first daily appointment for an oil change and be on the road by 8:30am. (6) Has the parts laying out that he replaced to show you the problem. (7) Not in a hurry to get you out of the shop, but will talk about cars, repairs, etc. (He loves to talk cars). I've taken a half dozen cars to Jere over the years and always been happy with the repairs. We run our cars until they die (150K+ Miles). We use to live on the west side of Lancaster and loved B&J Auto, another family shop. Now that we live on the east side of Lancaster, we found Jere and glad we did. read more
