I was told that my front brakes needed pads and rotors and that the rears should be good until early spring based on the age and mileage of the vehicle. (I work with older individuals during this time of COVID, so this made me feel more safe.) They know I am not from the area, so the status of my front brakes and lug nut was typed out on my receipt, so I could feel free to go to a mechanic closer to my house. After explaining the sounds and symptoms I was assured that the problem was not the transmission and that it only needed some new spark plugs and that my engine light was on because of a leaky gas cap, that's it! Alex and Kyle are in the business of NOT being honest. I was quoted $600 to remove, diagnose and put back. After they diagnosed the quote came in the rebuilt by 2011 Jeep Wrangler transmission for over $4500. This was way above the industry standard for a rebuild which is no more than $3000. They would not provide me with a breakdown of the parts they needed to replace but verbally told me it was just the gears. Kyle told me he didn't have the time to write down all the parts. After I decided to go with someone else. They put all my transmission parts outside on their drive way for me to pick up. Attached are pictures of my parts left outside.This is not how you do business! I have since filed a complaint with the consumer protection act. I ended up going to triple A transmission in Newmarket and they ended up charging me $2700 flat.

They then refused to give me my keys back because I wouldn't sign the bill/release form even though I paid the bill. They can't legally do this as it's my property , so had to get the cops involved. Also wouldn't admit to any fault in their work, just happened by coincidence they said.

I`ve been taking my cars here for regular servicing for many years and have never had reason to…read morecomplain. Service advisors are friendly and repairs are accurate and without problem. In the past, I commuted a fair distance on a daily basis and I needed to feel assured that my car wouldn`t break down in the middle of a dark lonely road after my night shift had ended. They have good hours too for busy working people with their service bays open early and fairly late into the evening. They`ve always managed to fit my car in and once when I had a question about a check engine light (that I began to panic about) one of the mechanics took the time to talk to me over the phone.
