When I came to pick it up, they showed me my chewed up bushings and even took care of a stripped rotor set screw in one of my rear brake rotors, which had me pulling my hair out previously. Everyone was extremely personable and VERY accommodating and definitely knew their stuff. Its been a ride for me. Today 02/20, I am feeling helpless. So I had to write the entire sequence. I will keep you all informed. I have taken my Honda accord to AutoHaus for the starter grinding issue. 1st visit: Dropped the car Car was kept for 3-4 days, Autohaus did analysis and found that my car needs a new torque converter (as per the torque converter design. flywheel is welded to the torque converter) and new starter to address the starter grinding issue. (Estimate $4700 with the new waterpipe and timing belt) 2nd Visit: Felt the sudden jerks after the delivery I paid $4700 and took the delivery, While driving back home I felt heavy jerks in lower speed. It was so scary for me. So I took the car back to the shop. They kept the car for a day and it was informed that the cable was loose. They gave the car back on the next day. 3rd visit: No smoothness in the transmission which was never there before I was feeling a sudden slip in the transmission in lower speed (20-25 speed at 1500 rpms). Garry took the test ride and said comeback in few days will do transmission fluid change. it might solve the problem 4th visit: No smoothness in the transmission Garry kept the car for a day and did the fluid change. He reported that transmission has other issue which he didn't touch. While coming back I didn't feel much improvement. I took my car for a road trip thinking that the issue will resolve over time. But.... no improvement 5th visit: Reported the same issue Autohaus is still having my car since last 5-6 days. 2 days back Anthony reported that transmission has issues. when I countered that issue was never there before except the starter grinding issues. He mentioned that he will take the car to Honda dealership for further diagnosis. I will be visiting today 02/20 to get an update. Update 02/20 6th visit: to get an update Anthony informed me that he acknowledge the issue and tried to fix it. But failed. So they gave the car to Honda dealership for further diagnosis. Antony said someone from the dealership will call and provide the information. But no one called me yet. I am again going to AutoHaus to get the dealership information. I just want to see my car 7th visit: Visit to McGrath Honda (in Grand Ave) I met with Mc Grarth Honda Service manager (Jeremy). Explained him the reason of coming and the issue that i am facing. He assured me that he will diagnose the issue further. I requested him to give me the honest opinion on the mechanical issue so that I can take a call. Update 02/21 I got a call from Mc Grarth Honda Service manager (Jeremy). As per him, my car needs a new transmission and he certified the work AutoHaus did. Yes YOU HEARD it RIGHT. Had been coming here for years but I'm done now. Brought my car in on November 12th when they opened for a tire rotation and oil change. They said it would be done by noon. It wasn't and they forgot about it until we called 30 minutes before they closed. The issue is while my car was there they moved into onto the street and at 11:01 am my car received a parking ticket. I found out about it today when I received the follow up notice from the ticket left on my car. Staff must have removed the ticket and tossed it and decided to not to tell us. I now have a $100 fine to pay when my car wasn't in my possession until 4 pm. We also spent more money than planned and dropped almost $400 at the shop as they suggested protection for the catalytic convertor. Horrible customer service that you wouldn't let a customer know they received a $100 parking ticket. read more

Scam much? If Autohaus did a quality job identifying the issues with a 10 year old car, I would have not agreed to services totaling $4k in a month. I brought my car in because the engine sounded funny, the oil light went on and off, and it had a hard time shifting gears. They had my car for over a week, apparently they didn't check the oil levels or serpentine belt. I had to call them every day to get anything done; they kept forgetting or someone was out. They replaced $1600 worth of suspension, tried to charge me $1900+ but never asked for approval to do the work. Nothing else was wrong they claim. I get the car back. It makes more noise. I bring it to Honda. The engine oil is DRY and belt about to snap from dry rot. Rear brakes are at 3mm and routers need to be replaced. read more
