I dropped my daughter's car off in the morning to be assessed for a problemthay was preventing it from being inspected. By 10.28 am we had a detailed list of the tests that were performed with an exact breakdown of time, cost, and GET THIS....PICTURES. Yup, they attached pictures of each issue they need to fix and described each in detail. You then got to go through the proposed project and approve what you want to be done and what you want to hold off on. I'm from a small town and I certainly have never seen this before and was impressed. Yes, it is expensive but one can expect that when you have a foreign car. No one goes into purchasing a foreign car thinking it will be cheap to fix if something goes wrong so we were not surprised at all by the cost. In fact they did come in a little bit lower than my husband and I anticipated. All in all, we would highly recommend this auto repair shop and will be happy to return to get our car taken care of by them. read more

Autobahn Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Sheffield, Massachusetts

Owner has a bad attitude and doesn't want to do real mechanic work because he knows he over charges for everything and doesn't want people coming back calling him an a hole because it isn't fixed right. Just wants to service the upper class demographic so prices are hardly questioned. If you want to pay $150 for a $15 dollar part that takes literally 3 minutes to install, then this is the place for you. read more

Simply stated, the best auto repair shop I have experienced in the tri state area. The mechanics are top notch, with the unique bundle of knowledge, diagnostics, caring and the ability to work within budget. Diagnostics include photos of potential areas of concern, cost estimates and a rating system for the urgency of the suggested repair. A "no surprise environment ". Fred Gordon read more

I trust this shop. Dominic and his team are smart, professional, efficient, and just plain nice to work with. And whenever I meet someone else who takes their car to the shop, they say the same thing. Nobody likes spending money on their cars, but at least you know at Autobahn it's money well spent. read more

They are dedicated to top-notch service, friendly, helpful, knowledgable, fast, always happy to give in-depth explanations of what's going on. They also stand behind their work in a way I've never experienced from any other shop. I just can't say enough good things about them. I can't imagine bringing my car anywhere else. read more

As Guido's is to grocery shopping, Autobahn is to auto repair and maintenance. Buttoned up, transparent and super knowledgeable. I especially appreciate that they send a photo of the issue and explain it in plain language. We're lucky to have such a high quality service here in the Berkshires. I highly recommend Autobahn. read more

Dominic is a perfectionist, and knows his way around german cars. He did a major repair on my Porsche Macan. Porsche wanted $11k for the repair...a flaw in their design no less! Dominic did it for $7k and it was a more thorough repair than what Porsche was going to do. That was 2 years ago. I just recently needed a 110k maintenance...basically just oil and checkup. Porsche wanted $550. Dominic quoted $265, and again, the "over and above" attention to detail...tire pressures, general infrastructure, the test drive...and most importantly, the detailed report I got was far superior than my experiemce with Porsche. Could you find a cheaper...sure. But if you're looking to protect your investment, and plan on keeping the car on the road, Dominic's the guy. I recommend and endorse Autobahn's diagnostic quality, fair pricing and execution with the highest level of confidence. The Macan runs as well as the day I bought it. read more

I have been bringing all of my vehicles here for years. I feel confident in their service. Always honest. Always helpful. One of my cars has 160,000 miles and us still purring - although they thoughtfully told me it might be time to consider a new car before I start to incur major expenses. I think that was impressive of representative of why I choose to be a loyal customer. read more

I have liked having my service done @ Autobahn for years. And I will return. But ... this past service was not good. I asked that the alert on the dashboard be checked and suspected it was an alert for the tires--tires Autobahn installed two seasons ago. I picked up the car, drove six miles, and the alert returned. When I called, I was told that it's probably a sensor in one of the tires. :Yes," I said, "Why didn't you drive the car and see the alert?" Evidently, the car was not driven but examined only in the shop. I had the impression that Autobahn is a victim of its success; my service technician blasted through the service without being careful. He kept the car the entire day for a routine service; at noon, he said the car needed new spark plugs. By 3:00 he said he had not had time to install the spark plugs and could he keep the car another day? No. Instead of stewing or racing to write a review, I called and asked Dominick to call me so we could have a conversation. He has not returned my call. read more

As always Domenic and his stellar mechanics went above and beyond what's expected. He doesn't just stop when finished with the requested service, he digs a little deeper just to be sure there's not something lingering under the surface. Always happy when I leave here! read more

Autobahn is great - super professional, organized, communication is excellent and the service is top notch.

Bought tires online this was a recommended installer. Never had a problem with my car until I brought it here. Broken lug nuts and low oil level after oil change. Tried to support local business but beware. Customer service is great though. They'll keep you informed and provide the best way to pay and send an estimate via text. read more

this was my 70,000 Mile oil change and switching tires for the winter. after dropping off the car and making a small list of the things I wanted checked, Sean, one of their workers. drive me home. I got a call not long afterwards reporting on the state of my regular tires and my snow tires and made a plan for tire purchase in a years time. After a few more hours I was called that the work was done and Sean came and picked me up, drove me over and in a few minutes I was home with all the work well done especially changing the time back from daylight savings time on that annoying Subaru clock. I love this shop. Professional, knowledgeable, nice people who are well-trained and know their stuff.

Professional, excellent and warm service. The follow up is great and the shop has a really nice down to earth feel

I have been coming to Autobahn for almost ten years and have watched them grow as their reputation for excellent work spread. I just had an oil change and tire rotation along with brake service. What was a pleasant surprise was an extensive emailed report of what the technician found along with their recommendations. These recommendations were accompanied by a vehicle health status report and numerous pictures of specific items in my car with test equipment that indicated certain services were needed. It was the most comprehensive report of its type that I have ever seen from an auto mechanic and made decisions to do work easy. Dominic and his crew are professionals and consistently do excellent work. What more could anyone want of their auto mechanic(s)? Highly recommend. read more

Favorite shop in the Berkshires to get my car serviced. Responsive and knowledgeable.

We just moved to the area and all their reviews were stellar. Very impressed with their notification system. They send you photos of any repairs they are recommending with the costs and you get to approve or disapprove them before they do the work. Awesome. One more car in today so will add more info as appropriate. read more

the car service was good but if they don't assure me that their their vicious dog has been permanently leashed on a leash and musseled, I will not return. The dog literally flew out of the garage and attacked our 20 lb cockapoo, cwho was leashed and standing by our car in the parking lot, and bit his ear in 3 places before the attacker could be pulled away. read more
