When the store didn't have one of the parts he needed, they didn't just stop there--they worked hard to find a solution instead of simply saying it wasn't available. That level of genuine care is so rare these days and speaks volumes about the kind of people they are. Ian and Tony are true professionals who genuinely care about their customers. With that comes trips to auto parts stores. I purchased yesterday and I'm STILL thinking about the amazing service I received! I needed to get a battery. My husband attempted a battery purchase at XXX (a store that provided crappy service). I attempted a battery purchase at XXX-mart, but the line was incredibly long and moving super slow. While in line, I called Advance Auto Parts. I talked to Rick on the phone and that's when it all changed. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and said he could help. I got out of line and went straight to store #01706 in Pontiac, MI. When I got there, Rick remembered talking to me. He popped the hood and got to work! He explained the warranty, cold cranking amps, and installation. I know plenty about vehicles (remember, I've owned a LOT of used vehicles) and everything Rick told me was on the up and up. While I waited, I watched Rick greet every customer who walked in - even some by name. He was genuinely pleasant and I could tell he enjoyed what he was doing. I don't know if Rick is the manager, but he should be. He carries himself like a natural leader who knows service. I've worked in hospitality management and I know great service. It can't be taught. Rick is the epitome of stellar customer service. To fellow customers, go here and ask for Rick. To Advance Auto Parts, be thankful Rick is representing your company well.

They said it was going to be 2.5 hours be for they even pulled my vehicle in. I asked the guy at the counter what did i set an appointment for and he just shrugged his shoulders. Talked to the manager and he gave me some BS on if i go to the eye doctor it could be three hours after my appointment i got seen. One, don't offer appointments if your not going to honor them. Two, get a new eye doctor if thats the case. Three, a persons time is valuable don't be McDonalds and only focus on drive thru when you have people that made appointments. Four, this is really the most important don't treat your customers like they are stupid some of us rebuild vehicles and know what required to do a job we're not all ignorant about vehicles. The guy on the phone was a dick head as well. Going somewhere else, maybe. I already have it close enough just wanted them to fine tune the toe on the outer tie rods after I had already replaced the lower control arms, sway bar links and inner/outer tie rods. Would have taken longer to connect/disconnect the equipment then it would to crack two nuts and spin two inner tie rods 2-3 times and tighten the nuts back down. Belle Tire always tries to scare people into buying extra crap. I repair all my vehicles i just don't have an alignment rack.
