After explaining it to Mike he went and grabbed a testing device. He checked both the battery and the alternator. Now , of course the battery would be the culprit and although Mike could have been more concerned about a sale instead he provided excellent, even outstanding customer service noting the year and battery purchase location. In short it was still under warranty. Thank you as it turned out it was still under warranty and within 15mins, I was able to get a new battery, no charge and enjoy my 98° weather in Houston, TX for the day. Told him what I was trying to do, no interest in a new car, just an offer, and fully expected to be waiting around an hour or more, but that didn't happen. Glen was polite and courteous and professional, took the keys and did his drive and look around and in less than 30 minutes I had an offer that exceeded that of the two previous dealerships I had visited. When he picked it up the rear view mirror fell off before he even got out of the parking lot, so he turned around and took it back to them. They kept it overnight and when we went to pick the car up the next day, the front shield was cracked from top to bottom. The service manager, Justin, immediately denied responsibility and said it was a rock chip. We showed him, and had him feel the outside of the windshield so he would see the crack was on the inside of the windshield, not the outside and it was at the EXACT location on the rear view mirror that they had to fix. Even pulled off the outer case of the mount for the rear view mirror to show that the crack is exactly where bracket attaches to the windshield and that's what cracked the glass. Justin was rude and just didn't give a F. He's definitely not someone that should ever work in a position where he has to interact with people. He just kept denying responsibility and refused to repair or pay for the repair. There was no rock chip in the windshield when we dropped the car off with them, and still isn't now because the crack started on the inside, and we had a perfectly intact windshield before they "repaired" the mirror that they broke. Don't buy from them, definitely don't take your car to them for service, and don't give them any of your business. Worst dealership and service center i have ever encountered. Would give the zero stars if that was possible. This is now opened with Stellantis Customer Care (case 95980010) so the incident is formally documented. Also filed a complaint with the TXDMV (case 27-0011770).

Sure enough, it was. All of a sudden, they had a loaner for me after weeks of waiting. Unfortunately, the loaner was not big enough for my family as I was having a yukon fixed. They offered a Jeep patriot. I declined since I had a car with more room than that. But one of the stipulations for the loaner was to take off the bad review. I laughed and declined. The service manager even called me and promised to find us something, but just like the others, i never heard back. My car was in there for a couple of more weeks and was promised Friday, and that came and went. Then Monday, then Friday, then Monday, no Tuesday. Finally, I got it on a Wednesday. By this time, I just needed my vehicle, so I didn't make any fuss. I asked about getting a new key and maybe a discount for my troubles. Ron, of course, said I'm looking into getting one for free for your troubles, and of course, I was skeptical but gave him the benefit of the doubt. But as usual, it's been about 3 weeks and not even a phone call about the key. The one good thing I can say is that I did get an engine replaced through the power train warranty, but that was no walk in the park either. I would rather walk than buy another vehicle from this place even if they had the last vehicle on earth. I'll get a bike and save the trouble rather than having to deal with this place.
