A couple of hours later another gentleman called me from that establishment and told me they had gotten it off and to come get it free because of my trouble. As soon as I told the guy what car I had, he immediately said "I thought the other guy was talking bout a Kia Reno, I misheard him". Before I even mentioned I knew that he was lying. So he was wrong and he knows it and I told him that on the phone too. So if you wanna do business with lying cheats, give them a call!

The owner tells me that the part he put on meets all requirements for the car. However, I took the car to the Cadillac dealership to confirm that the part was incorrect. Took the the paperwork back to Macon Muffler and still til this day the owner will not change out the part. The Catalytic Converter I purchased and took to him, he said was the wrong part. In which was the correct part, which requires more work to put on correctly. All in all.. this owner difficult.. he told me he been in this business for years and is sure the part is the correct part. In which it's not.

Auto Zone gets 1 star for becoming a really hostile rude unwelcoming store. Plus their Markups are…read moreridiculous. This store no longer lets you use their tools, even right outside the door, and they now run people from their parking lot who need to quickly put on a part. Other Auto zones are far more helpful than this store. Also, they do ridiculous Markups. I needed four NGK Iridum Laser spark plugs. Auto Zone sold them for $19.99 per spark plugs. I bought a set of 4 from online wholesaler Rock Auto for $40.00. Brand New. I also purchased ultra premium brake pads, front and rear, fron Rock Auto and the cost was around $20.00 for front and $20.00 for the rear. At Auto Zone, for their premium pads they wanted $71.00 and $72.00 for their front and rear. Auto Zone's cost would have been $223.00 and I paid around $80.00 for comparable and even Better products.

We broke down on our way to Arkansas. We were meeting up with family members also going camping in Arkansas. Our daughter and her family lives in Lizella right outside of Macon. Our truck pulling a 38' camper broke down. Engine lights flashing, gauges overheating. Well you get the picture. Our daughter-in-law recommended a place down the street from their house called Stephens Automotive. We came in limping late Thursday to Arrowhead campground. While we were parking our daughter-in-law went down the road to talk to Stephens. She explained our situation. We were to leave with the group at 5AM Friday. Surprisingly the owner/ manager said to come on over. They would look at our truck. You NEVER get a place to see you if 1- show up on short notice, 2- have deadline, 3- have never met or done business with, 4- around closing time and 5- present them with no chance of repeat business. These wonderful people took our truck, hunted down the parts we needed, and made repairs. In less than 24 hours we were back on the road to Arkansas. If you ever need mechanical assistance go to this local shop. The work is top notch. The staff from the front desk to the mechanics in the back are knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile on your behalf.
