The hatch hit the wall just under the raised garage door with a huge "ka-bang!". The collision ended up warping the hatch door in the back of our old, but pampered and loved, 2012 Lexus Rx450h. Once the shock and disbelief had passed (what have I done ... with some colorful words $#@%!), we started looking for somewhere to fix it. It had to be close and also good (we love that car) and after a bit of online and Yelp searching, we came up with Santa Clara Auto Car. It turned out to be a great choice!!! My husband and I could not be more impressed with the service we received from Santa Clara Auto Care! Dennis and John at Santa Clara Auto Care were not only very knowledgeable about repairing the car, but also about how car insurance works. When they found the first used hatch, they actually rejected it because it had a dent in it. That really impressed us because they wanted to make sure we received the best possible repair. I was a little concerned when they told me the replacement hatch they found was black and my car is silver, but you would never know it was a different color! They did an amazing job repainting the replacement hatch. What impressed us most was how well they communicated throughout the entire process. They kept us updated and informed every step of the way, which made the whole experience so much easier. And when we picked up the car, they had even washed and vacuumed it! We are extremely happy with the service we received and would highly recommend Dennis, John, and everyone at Santa Clara Auto Care. Great service, great communication, and a job very well done!

Definitely recommend them. Dennis is the best.

I brought in my 2019 Mercedes for a fairly substantial round of deferred maintenance and new tires, and also asked whether they could improve years of little scratches, dings, and paint imperfections. The mechanical work was excellent, and the bodywork absolutely blew me away. They spent two full days on the exterior and somehow got out every single scratch and ding that had been bothering me. The car looks extraordinary - genuinely better than I thought was possible without repainting it. What impressed me just as much was the attention to detail. My rear license plate had always bothered me because the dealer had only installed the top two screws, so it would sit slightly crooked. I never mentioned it to Tomo or asked them to do anything about it. When I picked up the car, they had noticed it themselves and added the missing screws. It's a tiny thing, but exactly the kind of thing that tells you how carefully someone is looking at your car. They do both mechanical work and bodywork, which is incredibly convenient, and based on my experience they are excellent at both. They were straightforward about what they recommended, communicated clearly throughout the process, and dramatically exceeded my expectations on the finished product. It's rare to find a shop you trust with both the mechanical and cosmetic side of your car. I'm thrilled to have found this one and will absolutely be back. Five very enthusiastic stars.

They took the time to run a full diagnostic, perform a leak-down test on the cylinders, inspect the engine internally with a camera, and walk me through exactly what they found. They were able to identify my misfire as a bad coil pack, while also confirming that the cylinders tested well with no obvious scoring or major internal engine issues. They also caught an electrical communication fault and tested the charging system under different loads, then explained what they were seeing and what could potentially be causing it. I really appreciated the level of detail and transparency throughout the process. It's hard to find a shop that actually takes the time to diagnose a car properly and communicate everything clearly. I came away with a much better understanding of the condition of my car and what actually needs attention versus what can simply be monitored. Definitely recommend Tomo Service, especially if you have a BMW and want someone who will take the time to properly investigate an issue.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. SCAMMERS…read more I came in here to get our car checked out, classic case of scheming car repair shop. Got a firm estimate of $500 for the repairs, brought the car in and left it there. Get a call a couple of hours later that, of course, additional repairs are needed and very noncommittal about amount. Go to pick up the car and they tried to charge is over $700 . They also refused to give us the 20% discount on labor they promised us. And refused to swipe my card , insisting instead on writing down the credit card number which if you know anything about PCI standards is not allowed for merchants. Its not allowed for good reasons because thieves will use your card number for nefarious purposes. End result is we paid more than we were quoted or they would not release the car back to us. Now I leave this bad review, I report them to the relevant agencies, including MasterCard which they're supposed to take according to the terms of their merchant agreement, and of course going to dispute the charge my credit card company, so they don't get away with it. Shame on you.

Mobile Auto Repair is sometimes an extremely helpful option for busy people. If I can avoid taking…read moremy car out of the parking lot and wiping out at least a couple hours of time getting stupid little things fixed, I'll do it. This was the first time I'd had an occasion to do so; I had a taillight and a rear wiper that needed fixing, as I had gotten a fix-it ticket from the greedhead cops of San Jose. Who wants to leave work to do stuff like that? I checked out AMA Repair and several others through Yelp and chose AMA as they were the closest to my work. Well, this worked out perfectly. Both repairs were straightforward, and I was really only charged the $88 fee to get out there to get these things done. So a logistical headache is gone for a reasonable price, the company makes a fair profit on the labor, and I get to retire this stupid ticket. Win-win all around. I would do this again. BIG hassle-saving option.
