This is the only place that knows how to work on our older classic SUV. They can get busy but they get the work done, and right!

Detached the battery after i got home, made an appointment online and dropped it off early the next morning. They looked at and fixed the problem hours before my appointment. They even said the part was 12¢ and not to worry about the diagnostic fee because were frequent clients with them. Great service! Thanks

Well, I was having engine overheating problems so I scheduled an appointment with Dunedin Total Car…read moreCare to get it checked. Their internet reviews were satisfactory so I felt comfortable with the appointment I had made. I arrived promptly at the scheduled time of 10 AM. They then performed a pressure and block test for $82.38 which revealed a cracked thermostat water outlet where the coolant was leaking from. The repair was quoted for over $600.00 which I declined to have done when compared to a more average repair price between $300.00 to $500.00 dollars. Now I am waiting in their guest lobby and the clock kept on ticking well beyond a reasonable time for them to get my car back. So, this is where my nightmare begins. I then walked around the back of the shop and I noticed that the "mechanic" could not get the car started. This went on for sometime before they told me that the ignition key was worn out. Well, I could not believe what I was hearing. I had driven my car from Clearwater to Dunedin and then the mechanic drove the car from their parking lot into their shop without any ignition issues. At that point they asked me if I had a spare ignition key which I said it was at home. So, they drove me to my home in Clearwater to get the spare ignition key. I found two spare keys at my home witch I took back to their shop. These keys were practically brand new but when they tried to start the car, neither one worked either. So, the problem was not the keys as they had claimed but the ignition switch. Wow, I now needed a new ignition switch, which the repair totaled $468.86 When I pointed out that I had driven my car to Dunedin and the mechanic had drove my car into their shop without any key or ignition switch problems, they said that the pressure and block test had nothing to do with it. And yet, I can't help it but presume that the mechanic twisted and forced the key into the ignition key and thus breaking the ignition switch. So, there I was stranded at their mercy without a working car. I wound up maxing out one of my credit cards to cover this unnecessary repair, read 'em and weeps! They went ahead and ordered a new ignition switch but as luck would have it, the owner himself ordered the wrong part. The wait for another new part was just unbearable so I decided to walk to a near by pizza place for a bite to eat. When I got back, I noticed they had put a real mechanic to install the new ignition switch. So I wonder if the other mechanic was even certified! The switch installation took about two hours since almost half of the driver's dashboard had to be disassembled to get to the ignition switch. And since the new ignition switch came with new keys, the old keys were useless. By now, after almost six hours, I had just resigned myself to get it over with without any further aggravation. However, when I finally got my car back I noticed that the driver's side floor mat was heavily soiled with black grease. You would think they could have at least used one of those disposable paper mats to protect the floor mat, right? Replacement for this mat runs between $75 and $85 dollars...should I sue? So, I had gone in for one thing and walked out with a repair for something entirely different!

I cannot say enough good things about Supreme Autocare…read more I had my Mercedes GLB towed there when my check engine light started flashing, and from the very beginning the experience was exceptional. Chris went above and beyond to explain everything to me from start to finish -- in terms I could actually understand. He was patient, thorough, and never made me feel rushed or talked down to. The communication was excellent the entire time my car was there, which gave me so much peace of mind. The technician, Matt, was incredibly thorough in diagnosing the issue but didn't do anything unnecessary just to run up a bill. They were honest and efficient, which ultimately saved me money. What truly impressed me, though, was Chris's integrity. Once they identified the problem, instead of simply fixing it and charging me, he took the time to research and discovered that Mercedes had a coverage extension that would pay for the repair if I brought it to the dealership. He even told me exactly what to say when I called Mercedes. Because of him, I ended up saving about $7,000 on that repair. It's rare to find a shop that prioritizes honesty over profit like that. Supreme Autocare has absolutely earned my trust, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
