I used Auto Rescue to bring a vehicle from the U.S. to Edmonton. They did everything, from the pick up, to the border crossing, to the drop off location. Ryan is very knowledgable, and Derek is an excellent and reliable driver. They saved me both time and money; and the bill was exactly the same as the quote! read more

They did a super job transported my car from Alberta to Northern California. They use their own trucks and don't go through a trucking broker. Ryan was helpful explaining the process with US Customs, very flexible on the arrangements and worked well with my customs broker. The driver Derrick always kept me informed about where he was, took my calls to coordinate delivery and was right on time for the delivery. I highly recommend them if you have to transport a car across border and/or if you have a valuable car you want treated with extreme care. read more

Car was impounded and I was charged $530 to get it out of the lot only an hour later. After researching and looking at other average impound lot fees, I see that they charged me nearly double to the average. The dispatcher present at the time of my pick up was at least easy to talk to, but overall I am not pleased that I had to pay that much to get my car back. The only good grace I will give is that the dispatcher allowed me to come in after hours to pick my vehicle up and he discounted 'one day' from the price. But $530 for the vehicle being in the lot for no more than an hour and a half is insane. I was just robbed and unfortunately they had my car hostage (I am not living in Alberta so I was effectively stranded), which forced me to capitulate. read more

This company provided the absolute worst service I have ever received. My car was hooked for towing and the conduct of Auto Rescue Limited's driver was beyond unacceptable. The driver swore at me, telling me "if you can't pay, then you can pay $450 at the tow lot," threatening to take my car if I can't pay these insane fees. He spoke down to me, belittled me, and spent time lecturing me that there was "absolutely no excuse for parking here," even though I wasn't arguing or making excuses. His behaviour was threatening and intimidating. He continued to hook my car after I asked him to wait for my partner to come with the cash. He ignored my questions. What struck me most was that as soon as my male partner arrived, the driver's tone changed completely- suddenly he was willing to answer questions and explain why he was continuing to hook my car. This double standard in how I was treated compared to my male partner was disrespectful and unprofessional. I was charged $245.70 (including a $200 tow fee and $34 fuel surcharge) even though my car was never removed from the property. I understand there are costs involved, but applying a full tow fee in this situation feels unreasonable. Between the aggressive behaviour, gender-biased treatment, and questionable billing practices, I strongly caution others against using this company. Is this how you treat people? I am still shaken and appalled at how this encounter was conducted. I said I can't afford these fees, I'm here to move my car as soon as he arrived as I was WATCHING IT the whole time. He repeatedly said "I don't care" in response to anything I would say. He did not provide me an invoice, I had to CALL and get one myself. To say I do not recommend this company is only the tip of the iceberg. Avoid at all costs. read more

This towing company is outrageous, a thief. Today, I parked with a valid visitor parking pass that wasn't fully visible behind my work parking pass. They charged me $321 just to unhook my vehicle, without even moving it. I found the driver hooking up my vehicle after it took me about 10 minutes to help my nephew unload a TV and take it to the 9th floor of the building. When I came back down, the tow truck was connecting to my vehicle. I called the tow truck office, and the owner answered. I tried to reason with him about the charges, but he insisted on $247.57 to release my vehicle. He didn't want to hear that I had a visitor parking pass and hung up on me twice, telling me to pay or hang up. He also claimed that the police directed him and that my vehicle was registered with the police. However, when I called the non-emergency police line, they said it wasn't the police who directed them. It turns out they have a parking enforcement agreement with the management company, which only came to light when I passed the phone to the driver with the police officer on the other line. While we were trying to reach the KDM management company, which took another 30 minutes, the owner decided to charge me for one hour of vehicle time, increasing the cost to $321. As I tried to negotiate, he kept raising the price. On what planet this is acceptable for these towing companies to operate this way? read more

I think towing companies are basically just thieves on wheels. I live in a condo building that uses this company to do parking control. Visitor parking is right outside the front door so many of us with vehicles park there to unload groceries, etc. In fact, the property manager has told me there is no problem parking in visitors parking as long as it is daylight hours and not overnight, without a permit. I take full responsibility for neglecting to move my car after I unloaded groceries, got busy and then to bed so never gave it a second thought. Next morning car was gone. My bad, it was my fault. The issue is what they charged me. 11 km tow @3.50 per km ($38.50), Fuel surcharge ($40), Tow fee ($200), Yard fee ($30) Winching@ $20 per 15 minutes-$40), Storage fee $60 per day-$120) for a grand total of 492.77 which included GST. On what planet is this even close to acceptable. To begin with, 30 minutes to winch my car? It's a very small sub compact, was parked in an easily accessible spot. I suspect I paid for the driver to stand there smoking, chatting with his friends and scratching his fat ass. At most it would take 10-15 minutes to put this vehicle on a flatbed. When mileage is 11 km for a charge of $38.50 yet the fuel surcharge is more ($40), this is clearly just a money grab. Fuel is not that expensive right now and if your mileage fee doesnt cover your costs, you should reassess your business model. And why was I charged for 2 days of storage? The car was towed about 5 am on Tuesday morning and I picked it up at 8 am Wednesday (the earliest I could get it as that's when the shop opened.). The car was just sitting in a spot. What justifies a $60 a day fee? Did you tell my car a bedtime story or tuck it in? Fortunately, I can afford to pay this, grudgingly. What about the single mom or young student who gets caught up in this kind of situation. Times are difficult right now. I hope you folks are really proud that you might be the reason someone isnt able to afford food, medication or rent because you feel you have the right to make up charges and arbitrarily fleece people. Have a Merry Christmas. I hope you get exactly what you deserve. read more

I needed Auto Rescue Limited to ship a car from Calgary, Canada to Los Angeles. From start to finish, this was white glove service in it's finest form!!! Every step of the way, Ryan and his father, Guy, were communicative and professional not to mention wanting to meet my needs as the client. I could not recommend them enough for any aspect of their business. They are by far and away the BEST to move any vehicle from Canada into the US or visa-versa!!! TOP NOTCH!!! read more

I don't usually write reviews but I felt that 2 things needed to be addressed. The owner of the business I was attending came in with me because we both felt that the tow was somewhat unjust. I never walked into the office with any sort of expectations or attitude. I simply asked why it was towed and explained why it is I felt it was undeserving. I was dealing with two girls who were quite pleasant. The beautiful brown girl was kind enough to listen and was still quite calm and collected even when we came to a little bit of a stand off in the conversation. I'm writing this review because I feel this girl handled things great, professionally and is the reason I'm giving more than just 1 star. On the other hand; the gentleman who decided to pipe into the conversation (you know who you are) and use analogies like, "I don't care if you're the queen of England," and then shove the whole "I have 10 years experience in the towing industry" crap in my face, should maybe let the girls handle the PR side of things. I'm compelled to say that if I ever heard an employee of mine talk to a customer like that it would be means for immediate dismissal. All I was asking for was a little bit of empathy; for someone to understand that in my situation it's not too far fetched that the sign in the lot could be misinterpreted. I will gladly pay, even if I'm correct in my assumption. It just makes it all easier to swallow with the feeling that someone understands and cares (even if you really don't) read more

My condominium uses AutoRescue for parking enforcement. I had called in the morning around 10:30 am to request that a vehicle parked in my reserved stall be towed. I was told that I would have to present with proof of ownership for the stall in order to have the vehicle removed from the stall. They had estimated that a tow truck would be on site within 45 minutes. Well, it's now over two hours and several phone calls later and there has not been any one from Auto Rescue arrive to deal with the illegally parked vehicle. I have raised the poor service with my condominium's management company. read more

Not sure how trusting I could be of this company I went to pick up my vehicle and when I looked at my receipt when I got home I noticed it not only had my info on it but they attached someone else's info phone number, name, and address. The lady I talked to the night before was delightful and I wish she would have been the one to answer in the morning the price wouldn't bother me as much if she was the face of the company ! She seemed to have better people skills then the manager did read more

Zach came pretty quick when someone parked in my above ground stall at the apartment! Easy going, i had the documents he needed to see, he tagged the car and that was that! Took under 15 minutes, didn't waste any time and I couldn't be happier! Efficient employees! read more

If you see an Auto Rescue sign in a parking lot take my advice and keep going. They will tow your car based on some made up policy (nothing was provided in writing when requested) of requiring a tag in the window (which is not indicated on any of the signage) and hold your car until you pay up the $250 extortion fee to get it back. The lot behind the Strathcona Shoppes on Fourth strip mall on Calgary trail was where we experienced the issue and when we approached the impound lot on 100 street and 75 ave they called the police. Do yourself a favour, don't do business that require you to use a lot with AutoRescue signs posted, you'll save money that way. read more

I accidentally left my hazard lights on overnight and it drained my battery. When I went to get in my vehicle to drive to work...completely dead car. Khaled from Auto Rescue literally came to my rescue after he was dispatched via my roadside assistance provider. I must say he provided very quick and friendly service. He even waited by my vehicle so I could quickly run back in my house and grab my purse without turning my engine off. I was able to still get to work in a timely manner. Thank you Khaled and thanks Auto Rescue! read more

I got stuck in the snow. I needed to get out. My roadside assist called Kingsway Towing. They estimated 110 minutes. 30 minutes later I called Kingsway Towing to confirm the time as I have seen bad reviews about this company every where on the net. A lady from this company raised her voice and yelled at "Didn't roadside tell you the time??!!!!!" I responded that I just wanted to confirm the time and my vehicle location. She said that it would be whatever time roadside told you in a very mean tone of voice. I called roadside assist back and requested Auto Rescue because they helped me before with a very nice customer service experience. Roadside advised me that it'd take 30 minutes for Auto Rescue to come out (1/3 of the time which Kingsway Towing estimated). 10 minutes later I got a call from Auto Rescue and they said that someone would be at my vehicle location in 20 minutes with a very nice tone of voice. DO NOT USE Kingsway Towing!!! This saves you ton of time and frustration. read more
