When buying an oil change, they'll inspect the rest of the vehicle in case something else needs servicing. Their inspection resulted in three repairs to be done: 1. Battery needs replacement. 2. Front left wheel bearing needs replacement. 3. Rear sway bar end link needs replacement. I told them to proceed with the battery replacement and to schedule a future appointment for numbers 2 and 3. When I got home, I researched numbers 2 and 3 extensively and learned from various sources how to tell when these items need replacing. After educating myself, I took my vehicle to a different shop down the road for a separate opinion. I asked them specifically to look at numbers 2 and 3 without telling them anything else. The technician brought me into the garage and we walked under my vehicle as it was raised up on a jack. He performed various tests to numbers 2 and 3 right in front of me. It turns out, there were absolutely no signs of damage and were far from needing replacement. It seems Auto Plus creates an illusion of urgency to replace parts that don't need to be replaced at all. read more

Once again these guys exceeded my expectations! Earlier this week I was absolutely certain that my brakes were shot, and I was bracing myself for a big bill. Their inspection showed a rock had lodged itself in the brake mechanism and was creating drag and a hideous noise. They fixed it as part of the inspection and tire rotation I was having done. I was referred to CK auto by a coworker for a free oil change. Apparently they offer the person doing a referral $20. Pretty awesome deal. I scheduled and appointment for 10am, and they promptly serviced my hybrid. Oil change is an oil change, but I was more so impressed with the services that come along with the oil change(even at full price). My brakes and fluids were checked and topped off, which is pretty standard. To my surprise they rotated my tires, checked the pressure, then were very informative about future service needed. I was warned that they have a habit of soliciting a lot of services and that I should beware of fixing things that did not need to be fixed. Well they did tell me I needed a new air filter, but this was true. They could have very easily said I need new brakes, or something internal that I could not verify, but they were straight up with me. Told me I my brakes had plenty of life, and to think about tires before winter. Pretty sweet for a regular oil change eh? Another pretty nice point, they took my car for a quick test drive before and after service. I thought this was a nice touch. If you go to this place, you'll notice it is no luxury BMW service center or anything, but I found it kinda funny how the boss went back and checked everything again himself. Why was this funny? Well he went to the car for my "valet" service, then pulled it up for me (25 ft). It was a nice gesture, but I'm thinking "ok buddy calm down, this isn't the ritz, I'm not expecting the pamper package" All in all it was cool. BONUS - if you live in the area, they will come and pick your car up and drop it back off (when driver available.) This makes a midday oil change a piece of cake, instead of scarfing down your tuna sandwich in their lobby because you had to use your lunch break. woohoo! read more

10/10 WOULD recommend CK Auto Plus. Everyone that works there is so friendly and welcome. There's a fridge full of free water, soda, and juice pouches! Eric, the manager, actually took me under my car to show me what was wrong and what fixes they were recommending. No shop has ever done that before. I was there for an hour and a half (MAYBE two hours), and the time FLEW because they were so nice and accommodating. They fixed everything that was wrong with my car and it runs great now! This is my new regular spot for everything for my car. Love these guys. Oh, and they have something of a credit card you can get so you can get your car fixed right away and pay it off in six months. The staff at CK Auto Plus go above and beyond to take care of their customers! My son has our Jeep out in California and when he took it in for an oil change, they told him the water pump was leaking and tried to take advantage of his youth and overcharge him. Destin at CK was awesome and did a conference call with the California mechanic to address the issue. He then proceeded to call the part manufacturer and figure out that we are still under warranty. My car was having some trouble and making a really annoying sound so I took it here. They took it for a test drive, diagnosed the problem, and were able to fix it. Also got a quick appointment and was driven back to my house with the shuttle service that they offer. The employees I came into contact with were friendly. I was also explained what was causing the problem and what my options were. Just based in my first experience here, I'll most likely be taking my car to this place next time it acts up. read more

This is a partial review, they have a chance to redeem themselves. I had my truck towed there and explained the 3 codes I had, how we cleared them and replaced a cam shaft sensor. the tech never pulled the plug that had a misfire code. they jumped right in and started screwing with the VCT. The plug is the first thing you check. READ the ford manual. a 20.00 plug or a 700.00 vct. Whole thing smells shaddy looking to capitolize on a ford engine. I will have it taken to a cert mechanic and pursue this place if it is not done right. read more

I purchased a groupon for this location because I was in need of an oil change and they're located very close to my office. I made an appointment and was immediately suprised to hear that they would pick up and drop off my car for me which was a huge help. Additionally, they did not try to solicit any type of extra services which was a surprise. I am very accustomed to that from the various quick oil change spots in the area. Rather they told me what services would be coming up in the future. Needless to say that business will go to them. I chose this place because the check engine light was on in my car and according to the DMV site, the place had a 100% success rate at fixing this type of problem so it will pass the emissions test, And, my car did pass... though I thought the work seemed priced high. But that is not the reason for the 1 star - it is because: 1)They changed the oil without asking - even though we did talk several times that day so they had opportunity to ask or tell me. (They stated the sticker on my car indicated it was time for a change, which probably was true, but everyone know that oil change places put that on for 3000 miles, even though the owner's manual says it only needs to be done at much higher mileage.) 2)They signed me up and charged me (approx. $100-I would have to look at the bill for the exact amount) for their frequent oil change program - again, without asking. 3)They did not tell me they charged me for this program. It was not until I looked at the bill and asked about this that they mentioned this. In my opinion, this borders on fraudulent. What if everyone did this? What if when I bought milk at the grocery store, the store decided to enroll me in their frequent milk purchase program and charged me for the next 5 purchases of milk, and DID NOT TELL ME!? In the end, when I expressed my surprise and displeasure about this, they graciously took it off the bill. I did appreciate that. Suggestion: Look closely at your bill to ensure they have not done the same to you. read more

I trust this place. When getting a synthetic oil change I really appreciate how they send me an inspection report on my car's health. I can look through the suggested maintenance requested on my phone and decide if I want to handle the situation during the same time as my oil change. A couple months back we took our work vehicle to this location because of brake cylinders leaking on our work truck. Gave them the owner of the company's phone number so they can contact him regarding the estimate. To my surprise the next day the owner of our company called me saying that this shop wanted to charge $3,600 to repair the truck. So we picked up our work truck brought it back to our company and called a local shop in the town of Cicero. A tow truck showed up about 35 minutes later. The Cicero shop called us in the morning and told us that our truck would be finished if we could be there by noon. Total charges including the tow $460. I would not recommend this shop to anybody. I definitely recommend this garage. They found and fixed a very serious problem in a few hours that stumped Pep boys three days in a row. In addition, they drove my car before, to see how it was running and after they repaired it, to make sure that everything was fixed. While they had my car in the shop, without me asking, they went ahead and checked over the rest of the car, free of charge, to make sure nothing else was wrong. Got my transmission fixed here. So far so good!!! Our Ford Focus was having trouble shifting gears (automatic transmission). We originally took it to a Ford garage (BIG MISTAKE). They told us we needed a NEW transmission and that it would cost us $5,100 !!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW!!! We were just floored by this news. It is a 2006 Ford Focus with 66,000 miles. How can the transmission be totally shot ??? We asked if it was really necessary to REPLACE the whole transmission, and they maintained that it was. I researched online and most people said that when their transmission went bad, it cost them under $3,000 to fix it. I asked the Ford garage why they were charging so much. They didn't have any good reason except that "those other garages do shotty work." So we finally started calling around for second opinions. CK Auto told us that they couldn't believe that the transmission was shot, and that $5,000 is just ridiculous, so we took the car here. They rebuilt the transmission for $2,400, and so far the car runs great! They also warranteed the transmission for 2 years or 24,000 miles. Not bad! Everyone at CK from the staff at the front desk to the mechanics that I spoke with were very knowledgeable and friendly. The turnaround time on our transmission fix was pretty fast too -- 4-5 business days. They called us to keep us updated on the progress of the fix. Their final price was exactly the same as their estimate. They even offered us a loaner car while it was being fixed. I can't image the transmission fix going better. I'm only sorry that we took the car to Ford first (we lost $260 in diagnostic fees at Ford). I will definitely take my care here again. I think this garage is a great find! read more

Went in with a blinker issue, had changed bulb twice in past year & it went out again. They looked at the connections, no issue there so they replaced it FOR FREE & said "give us a call if this one goes out too, we'll take a look again." Fine with me, guy was super friendly working the desk & had the small town "meh, no big deal this ones on us." My car power steering went out too but after dropping it off & realizing it was part of the big GM recall, I called these guys back & told them never mind. I have to take it to a dealership for that issue. He was understanding, didn't try & talk me into letting them fix it. He suggested I take it to a dealership as well since they'd cover it. read more

Purchased a groupon for oil change and tire rotation, priced right and reviews looked good. I was able to make an appointment online (huge plus). They do a full inspection on your car to see if there's any additional pending issues and text it straight to your phone. Upon my inspection a few minor things popped up and the gentleman that greeted me when I walked in came out to talk to me about the issues. He wasn't pushy about AutoPlus fixing it, actually he emphasized me calling the dealer ASAP due to my low mileage and car being less than three years old. Kudos to him and the staff at Autoplus for the great customer service. Would definitely have given 5 stars had it not been for the oversight of not rotating all four tires (only knew because I had just replaced my front driver side tire.) called the next business day and they apologized, made the notation on my account and had me bring it in at my earliest convenience. read more

I really like this place and you cannot get a better deal on their oil changes! They send out awesome coupons through the mail and every so often I get an email as well. I really like the fact that you're able to book appointments online (which I HIGHLY recommend since they are ALWAYS booked!). The staff are friendly and the waiting room is really nice and they have a small selection of free refreshments as you wait (pepsi, water, coffee). I have a beater car, it was my college car and I'm pretty much driving it until it dies. That being said, I'm fully aware of what is breaking down on my car and just want to stop by to get it's oil changed which is my reason for my 4 stars. When I arrive, even before they take my car, I ALWAYS tell them that I'm aware of the problems on my car (check engine light never goes off for many reasons) and that I don't need anything else today. Although somehow, after my oil change is over, I get a lecture on what needs to be done on my car and that I won't pass my emissions, etc. I do understand that oil changes are NOT where these places make their money but the lectures are given to me as if I'm stupid and completely blind to anything car related at all. I appreciate the advice but I feel that it takes a good 10-15 extra minutes of them giving me a spiel and me saying, "No thank you, not today" every couple of minutes. It does almost remind me of a car salesman the way they try to get their services onto me. Otherwise, this a really nice place. Service is top and I'm glad that they are really on top of things when it comes to my car. When the day comes for me to finally get my "adult" car, I will definitely take any and all advice when it comes to servicing it. read more
