He went out of his way to make sure that I got excellent service and if he could save me some costs he had no problem recommending those procedures, parts, whatever. If something needed fixing, either Moez or Peter would show me (They knew my father was a mechanic. We lost Dad over a decade ago) what the problem was, and offer various solutions. So why the 3 rating? Moez is no longer there , nor is Tanzam Auto. And Peter is MIA too. Tanzam has been folded into M&M Auto on 63rd ave. Moez is semi-retired. The new group seems to be more concerned with lining their pockets than offering automotive service. Doomsday scenarios combined with unnecessary repairs and part replacement rather than offering the excellent serrvice I had come to expect with Moez. So the 3 rating is out of respect for Moez and Peter rather than from the service I have recieved from M&M. Tanzam WAS a 5. M&M, currently is a 1. You do the math.

Am I ever glad I did, they informed me that they were very busy however due to the fact it was the vehicle that the wife uses to deliver our children to and from school he'd get it in and start work immediately upon its arrival. Also he said it would be ready next day. I got it there, he did exactly what he said and more. They noticed the battery terminals were starting to corrode so they cleaned them, they noticed the block heater cord was frayed so they fixed that as well. Thumbs up to great service!!!! I will be a loyal customer as it is hard to find great service from friendly folks, Job well done, Tanzam job well done!

Disappointed. I really wanted to like this family owned business but they have the same business…read morepractices as those dealerships - not in a good way. To be transparent the service they provided for me was from some time ago (hope they have changed their business practices since then). Went in for an oil change and when asked if I could bring my own oil, it was frowned upon by the owner/mechanic. Other businesses have no problem with this practice in my experience (and to this day I continue to bring my own oil and oil filter to get my oil change). After the servicing, they gave me an invoice of all these "problems" with my vehicle. Every break down even down to the windshield wipers. This is the same practice that is used at dealerships when they want you to spend your hard earned money on nothing. Knowing this, I went to another mechanic for a second opinion and none of those problems mentioned by this auto repair shop were any problems my vehicle had. Dishonest for the sake of financial gain and taking advantage of an individual that has little to no knowledge of cars - bad for a business model. At the time there was an incentive of 10% discount the next service when an individual writes a review. How can anyone trust reviewers rating this business 5/5 when there is an incentive gain? Bias for a business for a discount. Even if you are a small business trying to survive in this economy, being dishonest is not the way to go. Consumer Beware! Went in for a transmission leak in my camper van; after $850+, replacing the transmission cooler…read moreradiator, pump and a few other parts they did not fix the leak. And I found some strange parts on the van's engine. They fix the problem the next day when I complained. All that was required was a line. If you decide to use their services, just make sure you they don't do unnecessary repairs or replacements. Keep an eye on them.
