DO NOT use this State Farm Agency. I have had SF insurance for over 15 years, unfortunately I had…read moreto move to SC for several months and the agency I had been using did not cover Myrtle Beach, so I needed to change agencies. Out of convenience, I chose this office because it was close to my new home. What a mistake. It's not that I wouldn't recommend State Farm Insurance, I do, just don't use this agency. Their administrative staff are not only, not competent, but they lied to cover up their mistake and it cost me $75 with the State of South Carolina. They assured me when I signed on with their agency that they would take care of transferring my account information, including my direct withdrawal for my plan and not only did they not do that, but they did not notify me that my account was "delinquent" for non payment. It wasn't until I received a notice from the State of SC that I was an "uninsured" driver and charged me a fine, but I had to reach out to them to ask them what had happened. Even after I gave them the name of the associate that I spoke to, who assured me she had everything they needed to set up my new account, they said "she never spoke to me" WTF? As with other reviews, once you sign on with them, you can't get a hold of them. Bottom line, don't use them. There are plenty of other SF Agencies in the area. Pick another one.

From the first day I was late I started receiving very nasty, threatening phone calls. The manager was the first to call. She was totally out of control. She was threatening and talked over me when I tried to explain the situation. I've NEVER been treated like that by ANY company! I will NEVER, EVER refinance a loan with them! Neither will my friends and family. I decided to check other reviews after our "altercation", only to find they have a history of harassment and verbal abuse. Over the course of 7 days, they called me bright and early 4 times! Even after I told them it would be a week late. I urge ALL potential customers to check out Southern Finance and/or World Finance in Myrtle Beach if you want to deal with good people. STAY AWAY FROM SECURITY FINANCE AT ALL COST!!!
