I have been very disappointed in the way this company operates. Do not go there for a title loan because they will end up owning your vehicle, especially if it's a really nice one. Everybody knows our country is in a state of emergency and has been for 2 weeks or more. President Trump said NOBODY had to fear losing anything because all businesses are completely shut down leaving everybody without any money and struggling to even survive. Automoney completely disregarded that promise. It seems they knowingly did very wrong in repossessing a beautiful SUV. My son was 22-23 days late because he cannot work until President Trump gives the okay for the establishments to resume their businesses. 22-23 days behind with a STATE OF EMERGENCY! What kind of business would come and rip someone's vehicle away from them during this critical dilemma in our country? WHO does this? Automoney, that's who does it. On top of their uncompassionate way of doing business, at first, they agreed to let my son have it back for $1200 covering this month and April, as well. I questioned why the advance payment for April. They said because that was what they had to have, so what could I do? Okay, we got that money and were ready to go and pick the Suv up. WELL, unbenounced to us, David calls and informs us that he couldn't get his vehicle back unless he had the entire amount of the loan! WHAT IN THE WORLD? In tears, now we're just in disbelief...the entire loan with Interest, no early payoff, nothing. David claimed since my son didn't have a Lease where he was living, he voided the contract...& my son told the lady that works there a few days back he had moved! I am a professional myself and I have never, ever seen anything like this with our country nearing a recession! Wow! That speaks volumns about Automoney. The last and most important thing of all was, David refused to give the District Manager's number because he was the Manager and he made the decisions there, So, beware of this horrible excuse for a title loan. Shame on Auto loans for doing something this unethical and heartless. And, yes, an Attorney is in the works....
Just found out from attorney...In order to repossess a vehicle, the company (Auto Money) must mail the recipient what's called a "Notice of Right to Cure" BEFORE ripping someone's vehicle away and taking it off on a rollback. Also, he's checking on how many days (legally & under a State of Emergency) is appropriate for repossession. I have a feeling they broke another law, as well. The truth always comes out in the end and it's certainly going to in this particular case..... read more
