So here it goes... In May 2015, I had a crack in my windshield. I found out my windshield cost around $500 to repair. After calling around for a better price, I found these guys. They charged only $200 which was way better than I found from any other competitor, so I took them up on their offer. Boy...was that the worst decision of my life! Remember guys, you get what you pay for... So the windshield repair guys showed up on time and and was very friendly. But his skills in performing the actual windshield replacement were far below par. First thing I noticed was that the thick, sticky, black glue (polyurethane) was all over the windshield interior cabin of my car and you could see it oozing out the edges around the windshield. He also used the polyurethane to glue down the rain sensor that he broke off in the process. I found this out three days after it fell off my windshield while driving one day. Guess he thought the glue would hold and I'd never find out. The next thing was I noticed a very tiny chip in my new windshield the very next day after it was installed. I called to inform them of this and they just told me they don't sell windshields like that. I told them they obviously missed one!... But there was no way to prove that I wasn't the one responsible for putting it there. It was so small to notice at first sight until you look very well. I will make sure to do a very thorough inspection next time. Next thing is when I drive the car the rear view mirror kept shaking and wobbling the whole time. Turns out when he replaced the windshield, he broke the clip that holds the mirror in place and that was the reason why it wouldn't stay on firmly. That new mirror cost me $267 to replace! The windshield was not the original, authentic windshield... It was some cheap Chinese knock-off. Not only was there black goo in the interior of the car, but major issue was with the molding around the windshield started coming off while I was driving. It was hitting the roof of my car really hard. It made so much noise inside the cabin of the car to the point I have to keep pulling over on the freeway to manually put the molding back in place. It was unbearable! This got to to be extremely annoying. So I called them so they can fix the problem. The guy who answered the phone say that they don't cover that type of problem because cars get old and the molding starts doing that sometimes and can't be held liable for that. I explained that it certainly didn't have that problem before my windshield replacement and oddly enough it happens immediately after I get it replaced by you guys???!!! Not sure why he would say this when a brand new windshield COMES with a new molding around the windshield already anyhow. So shouldn't this mean that since it is new it should not have that problem at all???? I mean... It's not like we're dealing with the old molding for the old windshield are we??? He said he would look into it and see what they can do. I gave them 3 weeks to contact me before trying again. But it's been 4 months and I have not heard a word from them. Now nobody answers my phone calls or returns my messages. I DO NOT recommend using this business. I travel a lot for work and I really need convenience and someone that can get the job done right. But this was a very downhill situation. I put some of the blame on myself because for a low price like that, I should have known better, but I thought I was covered with their "one year warranty" BS they claim to honor. Every time I called to mention the warranty, they kept making excuses on why it wasn't covered. Apparently, as long as the windshield itself is not leaking inside the cabin, warranty claims are not honored. So basically, you can have a new windshield installed with tiny knicks in it and the molding coming off and you'll just have to deal with it. Its like I get no credibility what so ever. I would think that being responsible and informing them within the first couple of days of this happening that they would at least come out to take a look at it. But they won't even do that. Save your money and call a reputable company like Safelite or something like that to put in your new windshield if you don't have the time to deal with BS from people like this. It may cost more, but at least you are dealing with professionalism. Take it from me.... I now got a good company to replace the windshield ($450) and replace the review mirror they broke ($307 part and labor). That's $757. That's not counting the $200 I gave these retards... Totally $957 out of pocket. If could have just spent $450 to begin with a good company instead of paying double the price just to save some money. I originally went with this company for due to the affordable rates that are offered which should be a sign to steer clear, especially since I was replacing the windshield on a brand new Lariat F250 with less than 1k miles, replacement date July 2016. The problems were imminent from day 1. The first problem: the rear view mirror had a terrible vibration and was nauseating to look through when driving. I had read that Ford mirrors can be difficult to remove without messing up the tension clip that prevents this very problem. I took this opportunity to upgrade to a mirror with garage door buttons, so I did not care as much, but none the less it was a problem created as a result of the windshield replacement. A couple months go by and the windshield is leaking with water dripping from the A-arm handle. I call the repair man, he comes out and adds more urethane glue to around the windshield and says i should be good. At the same time there is urethane glue marks on the roof. Once again a couple months go by and the same problem happens. This time more glue is added and the rubber trim piece around the windshield is now glued down and the repair man states that the leak is probably coming from the SiriusXM antenna on the roof. Well guess what, another couple months go by and the same thing happens. This time I drop the headliner and water hose test, no leak from the siriusxm antenna and looking at the position in the roof, if it were leaking there is no way the leaking water would drain in the same way that the windshield is. So i snap a couple pics below where the water is coming through in between the windshield and cab. I call the repair man, and same thing, he adds more glue to the top, this time also from inside the cab getting it on the headliner as well, and states that if it leaks anymore it has to be the antenna, he could care less about the pictures that prove otherwise. I call a local dealership and another more reputable glass company and they confirm my fears, the glass needs to be removed, sealing area cleaned, all glued rubber probably replaced and the removal will most likely break the windshield, so basically start over with added costs.
