We had previously received a quote from Safelite and Global's price was almost half! They literally came the morning after Christmas exactly at the time given and were super professional. To complete the work they had a technician that came to install the windshield and another who came to complete the calibration. The technician that completed the calibration took the time to go through the history of codes in the vehicles system and then sent me a copy of the successful calibration for my records. I can't imagine this could have been any more perfect!

Thankfully my car insurance covered the repair with $0 deductible and sent me to Safelite. I was able to get a quick appointment and was able to reschedule easily online for my convenience. However on my actual visit I heard two people in line before me that had issues with their appointments. One lady had an appointment but upon arrival was told that it was cancelled. No one knew why or who cancelled it but they didn't have space and she had to go home without a glass during the rain. Another gentleman had called in to confirm they had the right part he needed to fix his car, but upon arrival was told they didn't have it in stock and had to come back the next day. Thankfully my appointment was still available and they took my car. They have complimentary waters and snacks as well as a TV for those who wait. The staff was very polite and friendly, however they weren't able to give me a time that my car would be ready. They told me to just come back at 5:30 because they close at 5 and it should be ready by then. There is nowhere in the near vicinity to wait at so I decided to wait inside the center since my appointment was at 3 and I could wait 2.5 hours. At 5:30pm I got my first check in asking me which car was mine. A few minutes later I was informed that my car will be ready in another 45 minutes estimating my end time at 6:15pm. Another gentleman sitting here waiting as well was told that his car has been finished already. Looks like they didn't care to update him. I wish there was better communication. Further, there were 5 people who, like me, opted to wait inside. However I was one of the first to arrive, and the last one to get my car fixed. I know that repairs will have been faster than replacements, but still. The lack of communication and extended wait really started to get on my nerves.

The repair time was supposed to be between an hour and two and he took 2.5 hours and at the end he didn't even complete the service!!!!! They said that they needed to calibrate it and they couldn't and then they wanted me to go to their location which is 35 min away from where I live to then wait for hours because they said they needed at least an hour to see if they can calibrate it. I said beforehand that I needed that to be quick because the only time I had was during my lunch break and there were like 6 people waiting and said it will take hours. WHY ADVERTISE AS A SERVICE THAT GOES TO YOU TO THEN MAKE YOU GO ALL THEY WAY TO THEM AND WAIT FOR HOURS???? AND after all, when I'm there, they say that if I don't do the calibration there, they just don't care because they make you sign a waiver before the do some work in your car. If you're looking for windshield replacement I recommend you finding a company that is near you in case "calibration" cannot be completed. My experience with him was short & sweet-- which is how I would like it to be when trying to fix a window from a break-in (aka let's get it over with so I move on w/my life). Too bad Jose doesn't own a restaurant or something-- he's the type of business owner I'd be a loyal returning customer to except in this scenario lol. I admired his work ethic-- he has a very laid-back, down-to-earth & sincere energy. It turned out my window was super complicated & he had underquoted me. He asked if I wouldn't mind paying a little more (10 bucks) & that at this point it would just cover his technician & he wouldn't make money off of it. I agreed because I can tell when ppl are being shammy & he was being genuine. They start to work on the door for a minute & realize it's the wrong window. My car is a Subaru Outback but it takes a Subaru Impreza window- WTH idk what that's about but certainly not their fault. Also, most windows are straight with 2 holes to bring it up & down-- my friends had warned me I had a complicated window which sure enough Jose & his technician confirmed. It had 6 holes, it curves & goes down & in (not to mention half my door is just window-- no frame around the perimeter). The point is, they could have just pulled the plug on the whole operation then. Jose is already just covering his technician, they're still booked for the rest of the day even though I made the appointment same-day & they fit me in (another perk). But instead of aborting, Jose insisted they complete the job (I could tell his technician was tired & probably wanted to move on). They chose to drive all the way from Buena Vista to Ft Lauderdale for the other window then come back to my place to replace it. No extra charge. Even though the job went from taking 40 minutes to 3 hrs for them w/the unnecessary traveling & gas expense. Overall Jose is a man of his word with great integrity & values as a business owner. Also, his technician used to work for SafeLight so you still get a highly trained & knowledgable person installing your window. Jose was reliable, easy to communicate with, reasonably priced (I paid $185), punctual, & above all provided stellar service which is highly unnecessary for a business where you most likely won't see your customers again. I salute & praise him & I hope this review brings him many clients & makes their glass repair experience hassle-free too. Thank you Jose! :)
