The next morning, I received a call saying the car was ready. I'm so happy businesses like this still exist. When I picked up the car, the next stop on my itinerary was to find a car wash or somewhere with an industrial vacuum to remove the debris from the broken window, which was all over the seats and floor. When I looked in the car, I noticed Norman's had already vacuumed the entire car and hadn't charged me for it. I was beyond happy. I know it must be extremely difficult for this business to navigate a pandemic, as it is for many other businesses. They went above and beyond all expectations and would recommend them before Safelite or any other place on all accounts. Very communicative customer service and they treat you like a human throughout the entire process.

I called many auto places and they charge $350-$450 so this place was a steal. They did my window replacement in about 30 minutes too! So God forbid your car from ever getting broken into, but if it does, go to Norman's Glass for a cheap replacement. One small downside is that the place is not that nice looking aethetically and the waiting area was a little dirty but I was here for a window, not to hang out.

I got the glass from Coleman Kia ($160 plus $10 to have it overnighted to them), but they wanted $295 plus tax for labor to install it. No thanks!!! I called Nick's and they got the job done within two hours for $80.25, including a very thorough vacuuming of the interior...plus they said they could have gotten me the glass same day (i.e. no overnight charge) for $20 less. Oh well, lesson learned. Anyhow, Nick's is my new go-to place for automotive glass, though hopefully I won't be needing them anytime soon. Highly recommended.

But he's down in Philadelphia and his schedule wasn't great, and it rained for the next 3 days to boot. A first world problem, to be sure, but I couldn't get to work, and it's not like windshields are free. I was frustrated by my circumstances, and even though it felt like a betrayal, I had to call a different shop. I was happy to discover Anthony is in my neighborhood. And even happier he could replace my windshield the following morning. He was on time, friendly -- he even played with my dog, and explained the process to me, which I appreciated. He made the swap in under an hour, and I let it sit, per his instructions, for a few hours, so the glue could dry, and I've been good to go. I would give him 5 stars, but he was the most expensive of all the shops I called. In fact, he was $100 more than my guy in Philadelphia; and he accepts cash only (no checks or cards) - which is fine, but because my car was not roadworthy, I had to walk to a bank (another first world issue, but I'm mentioning in case, like me, you don't live with another driver and/or further from a bank than I do). I don't know a lot about this particular industry, so I have no idea why there would be such a wild fluctuation in pricing among the professionals in the area. The windshield for my 2003 Jetta was just under $300, which is egregious! The other guy quoted me at $197, with labor and tax, but I would have lost more time at work (and the associated pay) if I waited for his schedule to open up. But it was also a massive relief to be able to drive again, so I am grateful for A G Auto Glass; and I totally recommend them, with caveat that the prices are high.

Technician (William) was prompt, courteous, professional & pretty darn good on how to replace the old windscreen. The whole process took a little over two (2) hours, only because my Mini Coper was being fussy over having the windscreen removed. Once it was removed, William said it would take about 20 minutes to complete & it did... Everything looks great and looks almost like a new car. This is the second time in my driving life that I had to replace a windscreen. (1st time was about 20 years ago or so, also with Safelite.).
