I was scammed for a brake flushing with less than 15,000 miles on my car because I was an elderly woman.

The person answering the phone is extremely rude and unprofessional. Since when do you answer a company phone with a long pause and then nothing. When she finally did answer the phone after I said hello she hung up on me. Never mind going there. The other reviewers were right...she is not a pleasant person to deal with and I wont bother ever calling there again. read more

I wonder just how many potential customers this business loses because of her. Also being the patient person I am, multiple forgivenesses were given and yet it still wasn't enough. I've been going to Auto Dynamics for repairs since September of 2014, for mostly small jobs. Belts, radiator, inspections and this sort of thing. I had a few issues arise with them, ultimately leading to my discontinuing my utilizing their services. First, on my last visit, I had my car towed in and received a large scratch on the hood. I know it wasn't from the tow truck driver because I watched him put it on the truck, rode with him all the way, and watched him take it off the truck. It wasn't there prior. This visit was for an inspection of my engine, which stopped working (locked up), exactly 1 year and 7 days after they did an upper-end engine overhaul (coincidentally they have a 1 year warranty for all work). I only got about 8,000 miles out of it. read more

For a small community, this is a top notch mechanic for European cars. I have an older BMW that typically has some sort of mechanical issue quarterly. It's a huge headache but knowing I can call Auto Dynamics, get an appointment and know Paul will get it fixed right up quickly, is a huge relief! Was given a 1982 BMW 528e to drive as a company car in 2008. Found out that Paul had been servicing this car since 1986. It had 202,000 miles on it and ran like a champ. After 3 years, routine service, and numerous interactions with Gene and Paul, I decided to purchase the car from my company. Because of the trust I have in Auto Dynamics and their track record, we bought a 2009 Audi A8. Now Paul services all my cars and I know he's doing quality work with OEM parts at very reasonable prices. This is such an unusual find in the small town of Jackson, CA. I decided to store my classic Porsche in Jackson, and drove it up from the bay area. When it arrived, the battery was about to blow up. Apparently the voltage regulator had gone bad on the ride. I figured I would have to have the car towed to Sacramento to the Porsche dealer. However, I was referred to Paul at Auto Dynamics and couldn't be happier. Paul is a great guy and has unlimited knowledge about the repair of foreign cars - especially older ones. I had brought the car to the Porsche dealer in Walnut Creek just 500 miles ago and gave them an open checkbook to do whatever the car needed. Without going into detail, it's unbelievable how much they missed. Paul fixed the car up and it is running better than it ever has. So long as he's there, and the car is in Jackson, it won't go anywhere else for service. You can trust him to do exactly what your car needs, and nothing that is unnecessary. read more

We dropped the car off and 4 days later got the car back as promised and for the price quoted. I was supper impressed with Auto Dynamics and will use them again. Let me start off by saying that I have been to a lot of auto shops in my day. This is by far the best place I have ever found. Both Paul and Charles are master technicians and it shows in the work they perform. I was referred to them by another shop that is supposed to be the best in the county. When they and apparently most of the other shops in the area don't have a clue they send you to see Paul . Good for him, that happens all the time. Autodynamics does not have to advertise because of this! Save yourself some time and money, Go see Paul first! You will become a fan. I would not think of going anywhere else. My car is a bright yellow 77 280Z. It was gross polluter and I took it to Concord Nissan. They told me they had a good Z mechanic. Big mistake! Two days and $1000, still a polluter. I did a lot of troubleshooting myself before looking for a mechanic. Paul was very impressive. So confident he knew what was wrong. Car passed smog no problem. (Car was registered in the bay area) He's very knowledgeable and because of this his time for labor is minimized. He's honest, fast and a well needed in this small town of Jackson. read more

I took my Mini here to have them check out the suspension. When I made the call they said to bring it in anytime that day and they could look at it. I had my wife drop it off in the morning and guy up front didn't give her the time of day as she explained what needed to be looked at. When I go to pick up the car later that day, I walk in a receive a bill for them for just looking at it, literally a 10 min job. I asked why I was being charged, as I just needed an estimate? He gave me the run around and in short I just payed it to be done with this guy. Perhaps they have some great people in the back that truly do good work, but you would never know because of the pompous gentleman up front. I will never go back or refer anyone to this establishment! read more

These people are thieves and they will do anything to try and rip you off. They took my jaguar and replaced all the cooling system when the car had a blown head gasket and it did not fix the car. they charged me $5000 for the cooling system and when the found out what was really wrong they wanted more money and by not fixing the right stuff in the first place now i need a new engine. If you take your vehicle be prepared to tighten all your hoses after they work on it because that's what i had to do. They will take advantage of a person who does not know much about cars. read more
