Auto Connection - AutoConnection will get you the car you want even if they don't have it! - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Bay Shore, New York

I recently purchased a 2017 Toyota Tundra from Auto Connection and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Despite being located out of state, the team at Auto Connection communicated effectively and transparently about the condition and price of the vehicle. They handled all the paperwork seamlessly and kept me informed of any additional information they needed, which made the purchasing process incredibly easy. I highly recommend Auto Connection for their professionalism and excellent customer service. read more

I found a car on CarGurus listed by Auto Connection in Bay Shore. Franklin responded right away and scheduled an appointment for the next day. As a new driver buying my first car, I didn't expect to fall in love with the first one I saw--but I did! Franklin was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He worked with me on the price and took care of a few things the car needed before I took it home. After the purchase, I experienced a small issue with the car, but when I called, the team addressed it right away and made things right. Overall, I highly recommend Auto Connection--especially Franklin. He made my first car-buying experience smooth and stress-free! read more

They buy high niage cars that need tins of repairs and then finance you through a HIGH interest company that threatens to take or disable your car after 1 day late. Never go here. You will be disappointed read more

Stay far away from this dealership. I contacted them through car gurus. The salesman asked what state i was in office told him he said yeah there's another 2000 dollar added to the price to total 2195. I left a review and some other guy said he listened to the tape? What tape was i recorded without permission?? I misunderstood he said that was for a warranty. Warranties aren't tacked on forcibly and no thats not what he said. He said the vehicle is 2000 dollars more. I assumed because they just didn't want to deal with online sales and shipping. Less than honest people and now ill be calling bay shore detectives to see if I was actually taped without permission. Have a nice day. read more

On May 15, we were looking to purchase a car for our teenage kid. John the salesman showed us a car that we test drove which we liked and asked if we could take it home the same day. They said yes, they could get it ready for the same day. John told us the car was $12,000, which we agreed. As we were getting further along in the process, they said being that it was Sunday, the car would be ready the next day instead, which is understandable. However, we don't live close to the dealer so John offered to drop it off the next day, which we agreed. They were helpful in trying to get us the best rates, which they did too. The next day, Paul, the owner, called me to go over the interest rates and monthly payments. When I asked what was the total amount financed, he said "it is too difficult to explain by phone, why don't you to stop by so we can go over the numbers". I reminded him I don't live close and could not stop by. All I wanted was the total amount financed, then he said it was about $13,000. I asked how could this be possible if the car was $12,000, and I had put a $2,000 down payment. He cleverly asked if I don't pay state taxes and DMV fee and added that the car was not $12,000; and that John might've just round it. Paul later said the car was $12,900 in addition to a fee that the "bank" was charging, and that they had inspected the car and put new brakes. At this point, I was not happy but we still agreed to that price. He kept mentioning that they were able to get a monthly payment within my budget. I told him that was fine but the Total Amount Finance is what mattered and I needed to know. He started getting aggravated and kept asking if I wanted the car or not. I told him I would purchase the car but I was just asking questions that he was trying to avoid. When the car was ready to being delivered, I asked if they had the paperwork showing the brakes were done, John said he had no paperwork "Do you think I'm lying to you, we got you a low monthly payment, do you want the car or not, if not, I appreciate your business". I told him I just asked a simple question, which they seem not being able to answer. Instead Paul and John, just get defensive, repeating that we got low payment and kept asking if I wanted the car or not. Finally, they delivered the car, and days later I had the car checked by an Audi Certified agent, who stated the car needs an axle soon and it's not safe to drive. At this point, I only had the car for five days and have not driven it more than 20 miles. I texted the salesman to express my disappointment with the car they sold me which is unsafe to drive. He called me right away, asking me if I was being serious, when I replied that I was; John said have a nice day and hung up. Few minutes later, John replied with a long text stating that I should be ashamed of myself as I should be thanking them for jumping through hoops and that he was sorry he sold us the car, and that one day I will be back to say thank you. I have two words to describe Auto Connection Dealership: Very unprofessional. They should have apologized and offered a resolution. Beware, they will make it look like they jump through hoops prior to purchasing your vehicle, but once you are ready to go over the financing details, they try to avoid all your questions and after you make the purchase, you are on your own, they will not help you. Now I have a beautiful car sitting in my driveway which cannot be driven. read more

we did not get to buy the car we wanted for our son And it was because Paul called to say the car was not good enough for him to sell to us . Can you believe it a honest person worried about taking money for a car for a young boy that was unreliable! Such integrity is rare these days I would totally return to his dealership to buy a car . I had been car shopping for six months when I stumbled on a listing for a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan GT at Auto Connection. I was looking for a late model Challenger, but I had given up on finding anything affordable with the options I wanted, and since we ultimately also needed a practical car, I decided to check it out - with no expectations - and if it was as good of a deal as it seemed from the ad, I could buy the "fun car" later. After dealing with six or seven degenerate lying scum of the earth used car dealers all over the NY metro area, I had become so accustomed to being baited and disappointed that I approached every car dealer as a lying, cheating, con artist who was going to do their best to swindle me. Well, I was in for a pleasant surprise. Finding Auto Connection was the universe's way of reminding me that my cynical, jaded perspective may have served me before, but you never know when someone righteous will reaffirm your faith in humanity. Paul (the owner) and Connie (his right-hand salesperson) were straight up, honest businesspeople who did the best they could for me: they got me financing at a decent interest rate, were upfront about "dealers fees", made sure the car was in good working order, and answered all my questions honestly. And unlike most small used car businesses, they even provide a 90-day guarantee, which they made good on with no hassles: the brakes had a problem, but they fixed it immediately. After being abused by other dealers for months, I am truly astounded that a trustworthy, honest gem like Auto Connection exists and recommend them highly. Being able to trust the person with whom you are dealing is one of the most important aspects of a business relationship: you can trust Paul Weinberg. He is not like your average used car salesman, who is out to extract as much money from you as possible. Although we encountered an administrative issue getting our out-of-state plates, this was out of Auto Connection's control. Otherwise, this was the smoothest used car buying experience I've ever had. I may buy my second car there when I am ready! In addition to getting a great deal and having a positive experience, it was a pleasure to work with John and Connie. So if you are in wondering if you should go with Auto Connection, look no further - you will not be disappointed. read more

Auto Connection - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Bay Shore, New York

This is my first review of any company. I am a single mother and I was recently in a car crash due to a young kid being irresponsible. I was in alot of pain and I didn't have the best credit. I went in hoping for the best but I was very aware I was a risk to lenders. The gentleman in this facility were kind funny understanding and willing to work with me. I thought at best I would get the most junkie car there if any. Not only did I get the car i havr been wanting for over a year, a wonderful 2014 ford escape with low milage I got respect from these men. As a woman buying a car we all know that can be an intimidating task. I was in and out of that office and drove away with my dream car in 2 hours !!!!! I thank Mike and all of the people at auto connection for working with me and showing me respect while sharing a few laughs. Xoxo read more

I had an appointment here and when I showed up they tell me the woman I need to see is out sick. No notice or cancellation sent to me. I just had to find out when I showed up. Then they send me to a place down the street that they tell me can help, and when I get over there that place says they've been doing that kind of thing for ten years even though they know I can't be helped there. Obviously just wanted to get me out the door instead of actually trying to help. If you can't trust these people with something this simple why would you ever trust buying a car from them? read more

Auto Connection and its owner, Paul, are a true pleasure to deal with. We purchased a 2017 used car which turned out to have an unusual problem that I did not notice when test driving the car, even though I am very experienced with auto mechanics. There is no question in my mind that Paul/Auto connection did not know of the problem either, since the problem had no symptoms until the car had been driven a distance. We took the car back to Auto Connection, and when Paul determined it would take some time to have the car repaired, he offered us the option of either waiting for the repair to be completed or choosing a replacement car. Because we did need the car right away we chose a different car, which we love and have had no problem with. Problems happen from time to time, there's no way around that. What matters to me as a customer is how the problem is addressed. Paul/Auto Connection stepped right up to the plate and made us happy. read more

After having the car for a year I went to the dealer to trade it in for a new one, I don't usually keep my cars for more then a year or two, only to find out that the car was in an accident from carfax. What they did was buy the car at an auction and resell it faster then carfax can post the accident claims. Oh well at least I didn't pay top dollar for it. It was all most $10,000 less then the Mercedes dealer wanted. read more

Awestruck I was, with good reason, dubious about going to a used car dealer. I'm an investigator by training and used to carry a shield for the city. I'm trained in interrogation and deceit detection: body gestures, falsification vs. concealment, suggestive uncertainty, use of the second person, response latency, etc. AutoConection showed me an outfit that lives integrity. Mike Little sold me a great car at a reduced price and gave me $1500 more for my trade than the last dealer offered. The real surprise was the Finance and Insurance backroom: the proverbial lion's den where the transaction falls apart. Not here. My price was what Mike told me and my trade was just as he quoted. Sale price, tax, tags/registration. That was it. They offered me a better rate than my bank - but I was still dubious and ran the numbers on my amortization app. They saved me 2 points. I never write online reviews for anyone but I think its important to identify honest, dedicated businesses that go far beyond the industry baseline. They are what a car dealer once was and should be today. And no, I wasn't paid or influenced in any way to write this. read more

Honest, reliable timely, courteous. Having own multiple vehicles, Paul was one of the most sincere and straightforward dealers I have ever encountered. First there were no gimmicks, and there were no hidden fees. How many times do you show up to a dealer and one price soon becomes another price after tax, tags, and numerous other unsuspecting costs. Paul will also help you find a vehicle that suits your budget and personal needs if not available at that moment. After pricing surrounding dealers Paul was about 10-20 percent lower after calculating all other hidden costs. My friend James recommended Paul and James was absolutely right. Thank you James and Paul read more

I have to say....I'm really impressed with the customer service of the whole team. Jessica, Mike and of course Paul were the team that worked so hard to get me driving in a week after my car was broken into and declared a total loss. Honestly my worst experience...last month I purchased a 2007 Ford Escape and the day I drove the truck off the lot I had noticed that the front windshield had a leak on the inside coming in the truck. I called and spoke with my sales person Franklin he had told me to bring the truck in and they would take a look at it so I did they had told me it just needed to be resealed so they would have a glass company come and do it. Unfortunately I was not able to make it due to I got COVID and was down for 3 weeks. After finally feeling better I had called to get the window taken care of I also informed them that Inwas going to bring the truck to my mechanic just to make sure nothing serious was wrong which I did and Inwas informed my truck needed new front ball joints tie rods stabilizer links as well as front tires so I called and spoke with Paul the finance manager and informed him what my mechanic told me. His reply was he's not rebuilding the front of the truck Inwas lucky he got me in a car. I ended up having to pay for two new tires myself. Honestly the worst experience read more

Ok. This based on my personal experience with Paul and auto Connection. Like every salesman out there before you buy they are your best friends and will do everything to have you sign. I recently purchased a vehicle from this place. From the beginning the dashboard lights weren't working The next day after I drove out of their lot the check engine light came on. I got in contact and they said they were going to fix everything. They required me to leave my car obviously but they have no loaner for you so good luck. After leaving the car several times still couldn't fix the problem and then tried to blame it on me. At this time I when to the Toyota dealer who found the problem. It will cost about $1600 to fix the electrical and check engine light. In less than a month now Paul claims I have no warranty from them even though their website clearly states 12 months coverage. Just be careful and know who you're dealing with before you buy from them. Everything is documented and BBB already notified. 06/25//20 - 07/15/20 read more

This is a horrible dealership. I just called about a car i saw on cars.com and a salesperson picked up and tried to jack up the price by a extra grand or two over the list price on the site. After confronting this a-hole about it and asking politely may i add why he added the extra to the price this guy had the nerve to answer with some crazy attitude saying " if you already knew the price then why'd you call". well i promise that will be the last time i ever call them. I've flushed more courteous things down the toilet read more

Disgusted by these guys! This was my first time financing a car! I usally just pay out right, and I own my car! But I heard such great things about Auto connections from a friend, who eventually figured out these guys are crooks!.. I looked at three cars and this particular car... I was told was the only car that I could get approval ...on.... lies!.. From the day I brought the car home I had probelms with it... I continued to go back and forth..to their service center so they could figure out what was going on with the car... it's fine everything is ok...I was told it was a sensor ....and I knew that something was wrong... ....and I continued to express this.. ..they would only give me a 30 day warranty...as well..so for a full year I've had continuous probelms with this car! They knew they sold me a shitty vehicle..... ....and the friend that referred me eventually stop dealing with them too... they actually owe money to him ....and they are currently in a lawsuit with the guy who sold me the car! So disgusted by these ppl! 1 year later with a faulty transmission! when I knew the something was wrong from the start...! the worst used car dealer around i purchased a Honda Pilot and after feeling out the credit application they said that I needed a cosigner. they kept given me the run around for 2 weeks. even thought I was approved!!!!!! when I received a Bill Statement that wells fargo had payed them $26,812 I when to see paul the owner. and he tried to denied it!! Jerry had said that my wife did not qualified for the loan. i contacted wells fargo and after talking to them they gave me the Honda Pilot. even thought they tried giving me they tried the bait and switch game giving me a much cheaper worthless car a toyota not only did they not give me a good working car. But, the vehicle had 2 bad front tires which they said that they were going to replaced, But, the car has a very bad sound in the front which they never fixed, dirty back seat which they said that they would take care of. Both of the people Jerry, and Nick the shop manager are no longer working there, Paul refuses to take care of the problem, and even have sent me to a collection company to try to get an additional $700 which i don't owe. he's trying to ruin my credit, and my daughter. Blown water pump, blown ENGINE, Bad catalytic converter, driver air bag useless, broken dip stick, leaky bad battery ,no jack or spare tire, car has to be a flood car, inside rusty and very dirty. Plus more I cannot think of right now. They made me wait until night time so I would not see all the trouble with it plus. ABS light, engine light on.The drivers side air bag has its plate SCREWED ON making it useless. There are supposed to be catches that easily release if an accident and this plate is screwed on with screws ! Plus I also found out when I had a oil change that the tie rods were bad. They sold me a DANGEROUS car that could get myself and loved ones KILLED because of their GREED ! I lost my truck during Sandy and waited about 5 months before buying a car because I was worried I would get a flood car and this place stuck me anyway. Charged me double for a warranty that they use their own shop/friend to boot. When going back to have problems fixed they NEVER fixed all the repairs and kept telling me next time, next time, next time. They promised to fix all but then never fixed the repairs. The two criminals are the owner "PAUL" and head man / manager "HENRY". I asked for the repair invoice over 10 times and they refused to give them to me. I finally called up the warranty company and received the repair invoice and found out why they refused to give me the invoice and that is because they "Auto connection" charged the warranty company 2800 but the repairs were ONLY 1400-1800.00. I looked at the invoice and saw my signature was FORGED on the paper ! Forgery is a CRIMINAL ACT !! They signed my name on the warranty papers so I would not see they received more money ! This is FRAUD !They had the car about 12 times and I lost use of the car for approximate 4 months plus over 1000.00 in rentals cars and taxis out of my pocket for all that time. Also the monthly payments and insurence payments for a car not being able to drive. Henry told me at the end that the car had too many problems and to come in for he would give me another car. When I went in to get it 4-5 times he said come back in a couple of weeks for this or that excuse. Then finally he tells me I would have to give him 1500.00 more ! I said why would I buy another car when the first one is a lemon and you promised an exchange(phone call recorded). Then I talked to Paul who gave me the same song and dance for another month or so and told me he would exchange but then demanded 500.00 more plus a higher loan amount for the different car. They do not return phone or tell you to come in and are not there about 80% of the time. They lie and lie and lie. They dragged it on for months on purpose to have my warranty expire and then told me I am now stuck for the repairs. I have a car that barely runs with no inspection sticker thats filthy and worthless that I paid over 8000.00 for plus all extra expenses. I am paying off a car but must rent a car every time I go out east once a month because I am worried it will break down. My last phone call Henry said he does not work for them anymore but Paul says he does. I believe Henry said he is at South Shore. They cannot even get their lies right. They can post whatever answer they want to this post but it will be more lies. I have the forged papers and recorded all my conversations with them and have PROOF of ALL of this. There is much more to this than I could possibly right up with all the games they played and lies. Basically they will treat you nice for 30 days and tell it will all be fixed so you do not cancel the transaction. After that they will play games and joke about it to each other on what they got away with. Forging my name on the papers is a criminal act and one that they cannot make an excuse for or lie about. If you had any dealings with any company demand all papers and if they refuse call up the warranty company and they will provide them to you. I was just informed I should contact the "DMV" and report a complaint and also the Police if you find your signature was forged like mine. I was informed I have up to three to six years to file the report with the police and that the Statute of Limitations for fraud is 3 to 6 years depending on the Severity (amount). The time limit for the prosecution to bring its case does not begin until the crime is discovered, or should have been discovered. read more
