My sense was that during the pandemic they were forced to change up some of their service procedures to either minimize contact or address staff shortages, but if anything their service is better today than it was pre-COVID. I have had two issues over the years. The first centered around a loaner car, where I re-filled the tank but the gas tank needle didn't move. I was charged for 5 gallons of gas at the exorbitant $5+/gal rate even though I drove less than 40 miles in a car rated for 28 mpg. After a few calls the manager contacted me to understand the issue and eventually offered to reimburse me, but I declined as I just wanted them to change their loaner policy, which they have. The second issue was poor work by an independent contractor to repair the red leather on the corner of my drivers seat. It only looked a bit better after the $200 repair, and a year later it doesn't look any different. Live and learn. I do want to give a shout out to my service rep who gave me a solid heads-up as to the anticipated cost of my 60K mile service where I also needed new brake rotors. Nice not to be surprised, especially given that my prior 5 years of maintenance was entirely pre-purchased. I got quotes from three independent mechanics and their quotes were not much less than the Lexus dealership estimate, which was surprising. All in all, I've been very satisfied with service, responsiveness, facilities and timeliness. Oh, and I still really like my car six years later!

I moved to Minneapolis in August and needed snow tires for my CLS 550, which has larger rear tires than the front tires, creating a difficult conundrum. Sears Autos contacted Mercedes and found appropriate same same-sized winter tires for my car, charging me around $1500 for the tires and installation. Okay, I authorized this purchase and dropped my car off the next day. A few hours later, I received a call that a key to remove my wheel covers was missing, and they would have to order another one. I knew that key was in the car, and I asked them to keep looking. There was no callback. The key was in my glove compartment, like I initially told them. After installing the tires, the mechanic at Sears found oil leaking everywhere and emailed me a video of my engine, calling the car in dire shape unless I spent close to $6000 to fix the oil leak immediately. He advised against driving the vehicle until the repairs were done. I was skeptical and decided to pick up my car to check the oil leak myself. I was upset when my wife dropped me off, and I pulled out of Sears Imported Automotive without checking whether the summer tires were in the trunk. Once home, I realized my tires were missing, and I phoned Sears to get them back. They had no idea where they were and passed my call on to the manager. He actually became indignant with me, proclaiming that they were a family business for over fifty years, and I should watch my tone. He told me to call back on Monday. This was a Saturday. On Monday, I received a call from Sears saying they had found the tires and that I could pick them up. I insisted that they deliver the four tires, and this man agreed to deliver them the next day. Looking over the engine, I found no oil but decided to drive the car 5 hours near Milwaukee to my trusted mechanic in Stone Bank, Wisconsin. Richard would provide me with the truth. After an uneventful drive, Richard scrutinized my car and found nothing, I mean nothing wrong with my engine. There was no oil leak. The only thing Richard told me is that it might be too early for winter tires, since temperatures over 45 degrees can soften the rubber on some snow tires. Miraculously, it was 70 degrees in mid-November. I drove back to Minneapolis thinking I might keep this car forever, but when it needs work, I will drive back to Wisconsin. DO NOT TAKE YOUR MERCEDES TO SEARS IMPORTED AUTOS IN MINNETONKA FOR MAINTENANCE.

I purchased a Porsche Cayman R from them recently and this was one of the easiest transactions I've ever had with a car dealer before. Buying a car can be a stressful thing even under the best of circumstances, but buying one sight unseen from an out of state dealer can be a potentially perilous proposition if things don't go well. However, overall Auto Source made the experience almost pain-free from start to finish. My salesman was Brandon M. and he exhibited a high degree of professionalism and courtesy throughout the process. The car arrived exactly as it was described and with no surprises, which is exactly what you want in this type of transaction. We did a quick and relatively painless deal without any unnecessary negotiation and gamesmanship. The price was agreed fairly quickly and the deal was done. I would have liked to have made this a 5-star rating, but one small issue prevented me from doing that. I had agreed to pay a $300 "split the difference" shipping premium to get the car here as quickly as possible, but they were not able to deliver on their original commitment of "2-3 days". (The car arrived roughly 7 days after I had made payment to them.) Not a huge thing, but I had agreed to that extra amount to get the car earlier and then it didn't happen. Their solution? They offered to refund the $300 immediately when I called them expressing my disappointment. The check arrived with title and a nice handwritten thank you note a few days later. I don't understand why more dealers don't get that a little professionalism, courtesy, and honesty is all it takes to be successful in this business? It seems the folks at Auto Source, however, do. So, I'll give Brandon 5-stars and the overall experience 4-stars, for an average of 4.5.

Morrie's Minnetonka Mazda:…read more Morrie's Minnetonka Mazda stands out as a family spot with solid five star service and real trust built over time. My own run ins there turned out great. More than that my whole family feels the same way. They picked up that five star rating fair and square. You do not run into dealerships often that pull in repeat customers. Even better they snag loyalty across generations. Morrie's Minnetonka Mazda nailed it with us. My mom went ahead and bought a vehicle from them. So did my grandma. That says a lot about their steady quality. Their service feels trustworthy. The whole buying process comes off positive every time. I watched them go through it over the years. They seemed totally satisfied. It went smooth for them. All that built up a ton of trust in the place for me. They turned car buying into something easy. No stress at all. Just a good time for the family. The service runs top notch. The sales folks keep things reliable. That deep trust with the family sticks around. On top of that the vehicle lineup impresses me a lot. Say you need a big reliable ride for the family. Maybe an SUV such as the CX 5 or CX 90. Or go for something smaller and better on gas. Like the Mazda 3 or CX 30. They stock a wide range. It fits different needs. People have various tastes too. Every option looks sharp. They keep them in good shape. Presentation stays clear always. I plan to head straight to Morrie's Minnetonka Mazda when I shop for my ride. Their history with mom and grandma proves it. Add in the strong selection. That puts them right at the top of my list without question. If you hunt for a Mazda and want a spot you can count on. Not just for one buy. But for the long haul over years. Go with Morrie's Minnetonka Mazda. I recommend them fully. They locked in those five stars. It comes from steady top performance. Plus a real focus on keeping customers happy. That effort clearly reaches across family lines.

During the process, I…read moreexplained clearly that I planned to pay off the vehicle as soon as my funds were available -- within 3-4 days. I was told the dealership could not wait for the funds to be transferred, so I was required to finance the car. On top of that, I was pressured repeatedly to purchase the extended warranty. Ryan's approach was condescending and aggressive, and after significant pressure, I reluctantly agreed. I canceled the warranty shortly afterward on November 23. Because Ryan insisted on immediate funding, I ended up financing the full amount. I have since paid off the actual vehicle portion of the loan, but the canceled warranty amount is still sitting on my account and accruing interest. When I spoke with Ryan on December 19, he assured me that I would not be responsible for any finance charges related to the warranty portion of the loan -- which is the only remaining balance. I do not have the funds to cover a balance that should not exist in the first place. I called twice the week before Christmas and spoke with Ryan and another woman. Both times I was told I would receive a call back, and I never did. I then received an email from Wells Fargo stating that I am late on a payment -- again, for an amount that should have been removed weeks ago. I am now being charged over $200 in finance fees due to delays entirely on your end. On December 19, I was told the reimbursement would be "rushed." It is now January 6, and nothing has been processed. To make matters worse, I received a call from another salesperson attempting to sell me the same warranty again. Even after I repeatedly declined, he continued to pressure and berate me for information about my car until I finally had to hang up. This was completely inappropriate and felt harassing. At this point, I am extremely frustrated. The warranty was canceled on November 23. The dealership has repeatedly promised action and failed to follow through. I am now being financially penalized for delays and pressured sales tactics that were entirely outside my control. This experience has been unacceptable, and I would never consider purchasing another vehicle from Morrie's Minnetonka Mazda based on how this has been handled.
