They are way overpriced. They quoted us $3500 and we got it done by a certified subzero repair person for $1100. they also charged us half before we agreed to the service. when I called as well as my husband to dispute the charge they lied and said my husband verified the down payment. This is THE BEST service company in the Upper Bucks County area for appliance repair. Period! The technicians are professional, courteous, respectful of you and your property and they get the job done right the first time! I've had the "pleasure" (geez, writing that looks weird...although it's so true!) of calling this company for service more than once. And it's now come to the point where I am looking to purchase appliances that I know this company can service (Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Amanda, Maytag, they don't service all brands) because I've dealt with other technicians/companies and, well, to be polite, I'll pass. For example, here's a brief appliance horror story that recently happened to me when a warranty appliance WASN'T repaired by Authorized Factory Service: Recently, I purchased a new washer and it wasn't working properly. So, I called for service on the appliance as it was under warranty. And so, the "fun" of waiting weeks for a technician to arrive begins...only to have someone show up who was untrained, dressed like he just got out of a tech school classroom, looked at my appliance and tell me that he needed to order XYZ part and that it will be another X number of weeks to wait until the part arrives and that I should call back when I receive the part and schedule another service appointment (waiting weeks longer yet again). Keep in mind, my appliance is broken during all this time. That matter took 6 MONTHS to resolve! 6 months without a working washing machine. Some repair companies just don't "get it." So, what's the moral of my appliance repair nightmare story? If you can choose your appliance repair service, THIS COMPANY is the one you want. End of story. read more

When my Whirlpool washer started leaking I asked for recommendations for an appliance repair business and was directed to Authorized Appliance Service. They came out the next day with the part in hand. Unfortunately the repair part came in folded by the factory and was unusable. The tech returned two days later with a new part and installed it. AVOID AT ALL COST! I contacted Maytag for authorized service, and booked a service call via Maytag's website (first mistake). If you book a service call on Maytag's website, Maytag is NO involved, rather, the service call is sent directly to the local repair shop. If there is an issue, Maytag WILL NOT help - you are stuck with that merchant. 15 minutes before the technician was to show up at my door, he called to negotiate a change in the service call fee. If I did not agree, they would not show up. I called Maytag, but was told they could not help since I booked the service call on the Maytag's website (instead of via telephone with Maytag). The ice-maker was not working on my freezer, and the fridge.freezer temperatures were not cooling. The technician opened the door to my refrigerator, then told me he knew the problem was to replace a fan. He did not run any diagnostic tests. I was told everything SHOULD be okay within the next few hours. In his efforts to get out of the house, the technician errantly damaged the front panel of the freezer. Unfortunately, the ice-maker still did not work, and the temperatures still did not improve. It took nearly two weeks to get them back out again. The same technician showed up - replaced the icemaker, but did not address the previous damage, nor did he fix the issue with faulty temperatures. I called the supervisor a few days ago - reported that the temperatures were still WARM, and that the ice-maker failed again. The Supervisor said he will talk to the technician, to ask what diagnostics he had run (the tech did not test anything - either visit). I kept calling for another 3-4 weeks, but the Supervisor was on two week maternity leave. The other administrator failed to return phone calls. When I spoke with a receptionist, I was told the administrator was not available to speak to me. I called Maytag, who contacted Authorized Appliance. Maytag directed Auth Appl to send their SENIOR TECHNICIAN, then contact Maytag on their PIC line to receive diagnostic and repair assistance from Maytag. Auth Appl ignored the directive from Maytag. Maytag contacted Auth Appl several more times to no avail. Auth Appl already had my money, and was not interested in returning. I like my Maytag, but Auth Appl is a disaster waiting to happen! read more

One of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had, if you are thinking of contacting this business for appliance repair, save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. First scheduled appointment was supposed to happen Tuesday August 30th 2016 between 3:30 and 5:30pm, which was set up through Whirlpool. Since I work in the city and my fiance is a teacher, we couldn't make the appointment before that time window, we were very clear about that and were given the okay. Regardless, they showed up at 1:00pm when no one was home. No biggie, I figured it's okay, let's just reschedule. Fast forward to Thursday September 8th, I took the day off and they gave us a window between 11:00am and 1:00pm. They even left an automated voicemail to confirm the night before. The next day I waited, and waited... and they never showed, not even a phone call. I texted my fiance to see if they contacted her since they had her number as the point of contact and she called them to see what the deal was and apparently their technician tried calling her during school hours and when no one answered he decided to blow off the appointment. She called to speak with a manager and he told her that since his technician could not get her on the phone he decided it wasn't worth keeping the appointment. The manager also stated that we would be billed for travel time yet his technician didn't even come down to our house, there was no knock on the door, nothing. The manager then asked her if she would like to reschedule and when she said that we would not due to their unprofessional behavior, he abruptly hung up. If you are looking for rude and untrustworthy people to service your appliances, look no further. Otherwise, contact someone else. read more

Would give this 0 starts if I could! Came to service our dishwasher because the water wasn't draining. They guys was there for all of 10 minutes. He stuck a screwdrive in the drain hose and said, OK, problem fixed, your hose was just clogged. Charged us $129.95 and left. Needless to say, the problem wasn't fixed. Second visit and yet another incapable service guy later, they "accidentally" cut a hose that is needed to run the dishwasher with a screwdriver, lied and said another hose (the hose the first guy stuck a screwdriver and said was fixed) could not be cleaned out because it has a flap in it (it did NOT, the flap is in the pump itself) and said, ooops, you now need new hoses, but the pump seems to be OK. Then a week later and no response from them as to where the hoses were we find out they never ordered anything and now said we need a new pump, but it is discontinued and they could get a pump kit, but that isn't guaranteed to work and they would only charge us $150!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT?!? First of all, the tech said we didn't need a pump, second of all, I'm not paying full price if it includes the hose that THEY "accidentally" cut, that's not my problem, it wasn't broken before they cut it! The whole time, the owner, Wayne, was extremely RUDE. He has terrible people skills. Then we talked to the owner of the store we purchased it from (because thats who sent out these guys to do the service) who agreed it was uncalled for and that they were taking too long to get this taken care of and said he would contact Wayne personally to get it worked out. Received a call back from the owner of the store who said he spoke with Wayne and in the end they both agreed that our money should be refunded and just cut our ties. Wayne was supposed to contact us to let us know how he was going to issue the refund. We let a week go by and no call was received. Called him back and said he was too busy to discuss it at that time and when we said we needed an answer his response was to laugh and say if I need to answer now then the answer is NO! Have a nice day and hung up. I have read of many complaints about them since this happened to us and highly recommend nobody use them. read more
