Aesthically-speaking, this may not be the most Parisien place you'll find in London. It feels more like a hip wine bar than anything else. However, the food and service are pretty close to home - if you're French. They're mostly known for their generous weekend brunch, which includes:
1 Hot Drink
1 Glass of Champagne
1 Venoisserie
1 Main
1 Dessert
All for £45 + service charge. You can't ask for more than that.
The croissants are pretty basic; nothing to write home about. The coffee is okay, also nothing to write home about, especially given the lack of alternative milks; so if you're lactose-intolerant, sucks to be you. I did, however, like the steak - cooked medium-rare - with brown butter hollandaise, a poached egg, and what looked and tasted like fried cassava.
For dessert, I ordered the Apricot French Toast with deliciously fresh roasted apricot slices on top and a healthy dollop of crème fraîche and toasted almond slices. It made the perfect pairing with the "just okay" coffee.
Overall, this place is quite out there for most Londoners, but it's in a quiet enough area that if you come in good company, you won't regret the trip. Especially at £45 per person. read more
