Top notch Birria! My son introduced me to Birria tacos when he was living in Austin. They are so delicious so I like to try them whenever I see them in a menu. We were looking for some takeout and tacos sounded great. My partner ordered a burrito and I got the queso birria. When we got to the park I wasn't going to risk spilling any consumè so I posted up with my food on the hood of my car. The birria was so delicious and the consume was meaty and amazing. Also, their house hot sauce was perfect- a bit smoky and plenty of spice to make it interesting. My partner also enjoyed her burrito but couldn't finish the whole thing - it was massive! I remember when this place first opened and it was sooo good. However moving forward today its just not the same. Some days are a hit and some are a miss and I guess I got the miss day today. I ordered the 3 taco (steak) dinner which comes with rice and beans. The rice was not good today, it tasted like it's been out on the counter for a few days, I did not like it at all and usually their rice is good but not today. The beans were definitely old and had the nerve to be cold on top of that. I had ordered steak tacos on corn tortilla with cilantro and onions. Even with the salsa the tacos were dry. At least they were seasoned well. maybe next time it will be better. read more

I have been hearing about this place for a long time. I'm so happy to finally get to try it. They are a very friendly, no frills, good quality food kind of place. They ave some seating, but it pretty limited. The menu is very limited, but that is ok. They know what they are good at, and they do an amazing job at it. The steak burrito is easily one of the best ones around. I love the orange hot sauce too. It hot. The gorditas are large. The shell is amazing. When. You order quac. It's made to order right there. I wanted to try something local for lunch while in the office and I came across this place next to Subway. This is more of a take out place but there is 3-4 small tables as well. They had a $4.25 shredded chicken tostada special that was excellent! The chicken was fresh, tender, delicious, not overly spicy and was plenty for lunch. While the ambiance is lacking the food was very good, the cashier was very nice, and the food came out very quickly. I will definitely be back and I look forward to trying something else! This was a pleasant surprise. I had a yen taste for a burrito and it was breakfast time. I looked over my Yelp app and chose to try out Authentic Taco, which proved to be a good choice. I had the Supreme Steak Burrito and it was excellent! I watched the owner assemble the fresh ingredients with care. So delicious! Steak, rice, beans, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, were wrapped together carefully, then seared again on the grill. The red hot sauce was mighty tasty as well. I had that, and a can of mango juice for a reasonable price. I spoke to the owner who is very proud of his freshly made food and his business is doing well, understandably. I'll be back to try some al pastor and other items. Although I don't often have an urge for lunch type food in the morning, it's really nice that they are open early. read more

Definitely a hole in the wall. Although that's a good thing. Usually those are the best places!! Basically a lil spot in a tiny strip mall. That being said it's the real deal. Got a beef torta and a pork torta. They must've been a pound each. Great flavor and the green and orange sauce were outstanding . Stay with the green if you can't handle the heat. Th green sauce is still flavorful,but the orange colored sauce will creep up on you. I loved them both! The flavor and the portions were on point. Girl's working at this location were quick and polite. Good spot for takeout and pretty quick. Everything looked fresh and homemade. Totally worth a try. I recommend the pork torta. It's a sandwich filled with grilled meat and lettuce,tomato,mayo and a little cheese. Definitely worth $9. All day long. read more

My favorite lunch spot near my workplace. The restaurant is quite small with a few tables in front. I usually just grab my food and head out. The person who takes the orders, Rachel, is super friendly and kind. When I visited the restaurant twice in one day, she took the time to ask for my name and talk to me for a couple minutes. I've tried the chicken quesadilla, the al pastor burrito, the quesa birria meal, the horchata, the tamarind drink, and the fruit drink(i think it was mango, but i forgot) on my own. Amazingly, my company had an event and ordered a bunch of different stuff for catering from here, including al pastor, chicken, and steak tacos, gorditas, burritos, and quesadillas. They also got chips and guac! It was quite the feast, and I gladly got to try the gorditas(chicken, al pastor), tacos(chicken, al pastor, steak), steak quesadilla, and chips+guac. Overall, the meat is always very tender, with the meat in the quesabirria being the most tender. So far, with every dish, veggies were included on the side. They also provide a mild(green sauce) and hot sauce, both very tasty. Tacos: Tried from catering. Stuffed with meat, and there were trays of veggies I could put in. Not sure how they come in an individual order, but I'm sure they are also amazing. Gorditas: First time trying gorditas, but i loved them. They were stuffed with meat and beans, and the combination of the two was delicious. Quesadilla: Classic. Delicious. Exactly how you imagine a good quesadilla to be. Cheesy and meaty Quesabirria: First time trying birria and I was impressed. The meat was so tender and juicy and the stew added an amazing hearty and meaty flavor. Horchata: My favorite horchata I have tried so far. The sweetness is perfect and the texture is smooth. Sometimes places have thick and pasty horchatas, but this horchata is perfect. Fruit drink(i think mango): delicious. Refreshing and fruity. Tamarind drink: not my favorite flavor, but that's just me. It is very strong and tangy. Great tacos, very tasty. Very good and friendly service. I ate at one of the tables. I tried the Al Pastor tacos and Steak tacos with onion, cilantro and cheese... I recommend both. Disappointed we only got a tiny bag of chips and that the salsa was verde, and it cost extra. I prefer a red salsa. Their hot taco sauce (in the bottle for the tacos) was orange in color, I think it was habanero based, it was decent... better than the tomatillo verde taco sauce. Honestly I can't say enough about this place. The asada burrito and Al pastor tacos are the best I've had anywhere. I've been lucky enough to have Rachel take my order every time and she is such an incredibly nice and thoughtful person. I love their hot salsa (orange) more than any salsa I've had and Rachel always gives me extra.
