After dropping my 6yr old kinder off at school this morning my car woudn't start (in front of the school) so I called AAA. Chris was dispatched from Authentic Bros Towing in the "AAA Battery Testing & Replacement Truck" and showed up in a little over an hour which was no big deal to me, I (and my 4yr old) were in a safe area and had things to occupy our time. (android for me/coloring books for her) lol... Chris was very nice and personable, as well as well-prepared and knowledgeable about vehicles. He tested the battery, the starter, and the alternator on my 2002 Pontiac Aztek and all tests pointed to the battery being the issue... which was putting out 10volts instead of 690volts!! O_o... The battery had been in there since 2009 so it was definately time to replace... which Chris happily did with no issues in about 20 minutes. He replaced it with a AAA battery for around $115 and it comes with a 3 year full replacement warranty and a 6 year partial replacement warranty. I hope all Authentic Bros Towing technicians are as friendly and happy to help as Chris was today. His wonderful demeanor definately made this morning better considering my car broke down and, really, nobody enjoys it when your car breaks down especially with a young child in tow... Just as very quick review of Authentic Tow and specifically Chris (the driver). If you scroll through my prior reviews, I had a VERY bad experience with S&J Towing. Authentic and Chris have replenished my faith in the tow trucking game. Long story short, I parked my truck in front of some other vehicles in a parking lot to load two jugs of water in the bed of my truck. I throw the truck in park, keep it running and hop out. Load my water in the bed and go to leave when I realized my door had auto locked. It locked me out of the truck running, phone on center console, parked lengthwise behind 3 legally parked vehicles. Needless to say I freaked out! I used a business owners phone (THANKS NEW WAVE TROPICAL FISH) and called AAA. They put a rush on my call but said it would be about 34 minutes!!!! Again, FREAKED OUT! an elderly lady was blocked in to her spot and trying to make it to her Dr. appointment. 11 minutes later Chris rolls up and gets me squared away in a matter of minutes. He was very professional and friendly. I was so grateful I wanted to give him a tip for his lightning fast service, but didn't have any cash on me. I apologized that I couldn't give him a tip but offered to buy him lunch at the fast food place in the center. He refused the tip offer and the lunch offer. I called AAA after my car won't start. They sent Authentic Brothers Towing. Chris showed up in a AAA truck, with clean uniform. He was very personable and explained everything he's doing. He tested the battery, and said that they carry a comparable battery. I had called the dealer b4hand, and the dealer would charge me $135 + tax for it with 3 year warranty. Chris said that the AAA battery is $96 + tax and it's warrantied for 6 years, the 1st 3 years are complete replacement, and the next 3 years are partial replacement. Chris got the right one from his truck, and replaced it. The battery did say AAA on it. And I was given a warranty paper for it w/my receipt. And he took the old battery away. I don't know what happened with other folks, but based on my service, Chris did a great job. read more

I called to have my car towed, i spoke to this girl leslie and she said that she will call ke back in an hour, 4 hrs later she never called, and i called her she said that the towing will arrive at 5:30pm... NO ONE SHOWED UP OR EVEN BOTHER TO CALL ME THAT THEY ARE NOT COMMING. The next day after that i called to remind them about getting my car towed, this girl LESLIE said that the tow truck will come in an hour, after 2 hr have passed by, no one showed up, i called back and LESLIE answered , she said that she needs to send the tow truck someone because someone have an emergency, thats bullshit!!!! She didnt even bother calling me and telling me that i have to wait again for the damn truck! And she even told me to look for another towing company!! This bitch gave me an attitude! Irresponsible liars. Authentic brothers towing was sent to me through AAA. It was late at night and a flatbed was requested. After waiting one hour I found out that they were in fact were sending a wheel left to tow a new car from orange county to Pasadena. You cannot trust this company because they will damage your car. They are reckless and irresponsible #shady #BoycottAuthenticBrothersTowing. **They had the nerve to write me back and ask me to consult my AAA handbook. The fact is, AAA requested a flatbed for 47 mile tow and it was the dealer's recommendation as well. #AuthenticBrothers went ahead and sent a wheel lift anyway. They were written up by AAA. 7:30pm-Called aaa i am on 55 fwy near lincoln need my car towed to corona (pay extra aaa for long distance tow) 16 miles total. 8:10pm-aaa calls to say tow company only has one available truck, they will tow me off fwy to safe place and 30-40 minutes another truck would be by to pick me up. 8:15pm- authentic tow truck, tows me off fwy left me at valero. 9:30pm-called aaa they called tow company. Aaa said they will be there in 30 minutes. 10:00pm- valero closed. All lights out.....now all by myself in random dark parking lot. 10:26 pm- call aaa and ask wth?? They are surprised haven't been picked up. They put me on hold call tow company and let me know "there was an issue at shop" 10:46pm- tow arrives to tow me home. 3 HOURS LATER! No apologies. On my husband's birthday yesterday, we decided to have an afternoon at the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary (see my four-star review on that) as well as at the Giracci Winery (not reviewed yet). Well, about a quarter mile before "The Tuck," his car overheated. He filled it with some antifreeze, and we were able to finish that last quarter mile to reach our first destination ... opting to give it an hour and a half to cool down. After that time, he poured the rest of the antifreeze into the car; that was no help because it continued to overheat. We stopped at Giracci, only to find the tasting room closed that day. (What? We thought it would've been open on a Wednesday afternoon. We'll stop there again.) To finish this rambling tale, we high-tailed our "hot car" to the nearest major landmark, which was Irvine Lake. We stopped there, phoned the Auto Club roadside service, and waited outside Irvine Lake's main gates about 35 minutes for service. That's when Jose' from Authentic Brothers showed up, in his clean-as-a-whistle new towing truck. Getting all of his p's and q's right for the towing procedure, he took all info needed regarding our car and its destination -- our local car-repair shop -- and spent considerable time securing and chaining the car to the flatbed. As we rode in the spotless and uber-clean truck cab, Jose' drove us and our vehicle smoothly and carefully up the 241 and the 91 from the lake to Yorba Linda. No doubt Authentic had issues in the past. That said, my husband and I were beyond satisfied with the work Jose' did with our car -- and on a hot day with more than its share of overheated vehicles during which he was no doubt pressed for time, we were very pleased. Four stars, from a notoriously tough grader. Keep up the good work, Authentic. read more

I was told that my wait time would be an hour and Mike got there in less than 15 minutes! He was super fast on loading up my car and super careful. Wonderful experience. My car was at tows r Russ in Orange And I needed a tow to Fullerton. I had a horrific experience with tows r Russ they are absolutely terrible and their staff trucks it harder than the vehicles they drive. Authentic came to my rescue through triple a. They came quickly and were extremely professional and helpful. Mike was great. He got my car on the truck so fast and answered my questions patiently. I'm grateful that they made it so easy and headache free for me because I know how disgusting dealing with tow companies can be. Our car broke down on Sunday night right off of the 55 S and Katella. Called AAA (whom this company is contracted by) at 7:55 PM and the driver arrived almost two hours later at 9:40 pm. Reina, the girl who worked dispatched wasn't so hot at keeping us updated on the delays (I had to call her twice) but the driver was very fast and professional. My car battery died on me, and they came out on behalf of AAA to give me a jumpstart. They tested my batteries and there was a faulty sale, so they replaced the battery for me. I drive a vintage Volkswagen and they broke the emergency brake cable twice. Once I quietly fixed myself, but the other I didn't. After calling many times over several months I finally gave up having them help fix it. The managers refused to talk to me and they made appointments to look at the car with me several times and never showed up. read more

If you are considering this company for any type of service, run the other way!!!! My vehicle was damaged when they came out to change a flat tire (I know a simple flat tire). The most frustrating situation happened soon after. I contacted the company to notify them of the damage and soon realized I was on my own. First of all the receptionist was an absolute idiot and couldn't have a professional conversation. She was very condescending and said that the damage was not their fault!! I just had a new starter and alternator installed. I was on the way home. All my dashboard lights came on and the car went dead and I was stuck at the bottom of a downhill decline with no cars stopping too soon. Luckily a good Samaritan helped me push my car into a Chevron station. I called AAA for help. In 20 minutes Authentic Bros Towing showed up and Angel the driver listened to my story. First, he checked the age of the battery. He told me I was overdue and that my mechanic should have told me to replace the battery after they fixed the starter and alternator (they didn't). But he decided to check around because something did not add up. He found a wire that was not hooked up so the battery was not being recharged by the alternator. He hooked it up. Recharge the battery and I went home. Needless to say, I saved some money because I thought I had to go set a mechanic that did electrical. Next day, I went to a battery shop. I needed a new battery. Angel was the tow truck driver. Her just started to work at Authentic Bros. He had a friendly knowledgeable attitude. He listen. He answered my questions. He is a keeper. My husband bought his dream car (1930 Model A Ford) yesterday and it needed to be towed to our home, as it needs new battery. AAA sent Antomo Marroquin from Authentic Brothers. I can't even begin to express how wonderful our experience with this man was. He was patient, SUPER careful to not do anything to scratch the car. Brought the flat bed very quickly, and after the 45 mile drive, even chopped back our tree that had overhanging branches that might have scratched the top. I finished my business in a small shopping plaza in Orange when I found I couldnt leave because an Authentic Brothers tow truck was blocking me in. The truck was illegally parked blocking-in me and at least three other vehicles, not to mention taking away a portion of the entry/exit lane. I waited, coulnt help it, for the driver to show-up; which he did with food from the mexican restaurant. With no apology or even concern that he had caused any problems; I asked him why he though it was ok to park illegally. He responded with "F.U." and told me to call the number on the truck. I did call but of course no manager, supervisor or anyone in charge was available. I left my complaint and then called the City of Orange to complain about their poor choice of a Subcontractor (the truck has a sign statiing they are official Police towing). I am sure the driver would do the same thing again and again. He is rude and selfish. I will not be calling on this company for any of my towing needs. read more

Had a feeling my car battery was going to bite the dust so I called AAA and they dispatched Josh from Authentic Brothers Towing. Not only did he arrive in 15 minutes when I was quoted 40, he offered to install my new battery after his shift, on his own time, when the type of battery I needed wasn't available. I went to the store to get the battery and, as promised, he contacted me a couple hours later when he was off duty and installed my battery for me. Truly amazing customer service!! Tow services are hit and miss most of the time but this is by far the best service ever received. For any future car problems I may have, I will request Authentic Brothers Towing. My clutch went out in my VW Jetta, luckily I was able to make it back to my apartment complex. I called AAA and they dispatched Authentic. AAA told me it would be about 20-40 minutes. After an hour I called back again to find out what was going on - yet another 45 minute wait. Then when the guy finally showed up, he wasn't very nice. He even slammed on my emergency brake right in front of me in order to stop my rolling car when he easily could have just hit the brake. To top things off, he was taking it a mile (1 MILE!!!) down the road to VW of Orange. They were already expecting the car because I had previously called them and let them know it was being towed in. Since the service department is closed on Sundays, I called at 7am Monday morning and asked what number my car was in the queue and David (the service guy at VW) said, "Crystal, we don't even have your car... and if we do it is just randomly sitting on the lot so I'm going to have to walk around to find it." WHAT?!?!?! A tow truck company dropped my car off at a dealership and just left it there? No person signed for it? No confirmation email from AAA letting me know my car made it to its destination? No, that's not possible. Sure enough, David called me back 15 minutes later and said that the tow truck driver left it on the lot WITH THE KEYS IN IT!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, you have got to be kidding me. Worst service ever if you would even call it service. I've already filed a complaint with AAA because this company needs to be taken off their authorized representative list ASAP! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND IF AAA SAYS AUTHENTIC TOWING IS COMING OUT FOR YOUR VEHICLE - TELL THEM NO WAY! read more
