His communication is unparalleled. I had a question or sent email, BOOM response. Have a request? Boom, response. Have revision or question about his contract? BOOM, response. 2. He is punctual. We asked Dave to also photograph our rehearsal dinner and he was all over! He even sent us a few "sneak" peeks the night of the dinner. 3. Dave is creative! Given our wedding was in the early evening in November, it gets dark early. He suggested a first look to get better lighting. We are definitely glad we listened! During our wedding he was essentially a gymnast, getting the best angle and had a second photographer to assist with EVERY SHOT! 4. QUICK turnaround! I hope I'm not setting an unreasonable precedent, but we had our photos from our wedding back within 12 days of our wedding! Yes, TWELVE DAYS! He took and sent over 500 photos! 5. Affordable. I got recommendations from friends for over 10 photographers and Dave was among the most affordable. Essentially, I recommend DCM photography whole-heartedly! Don't hesitate just do it. We did :-). When selecting a wedding photographer, I really had two requirements: 1. Someone who takes unique…read moreand interesting photos, and 2.) Someone that I felt at ease around. We interviewed two photographers before meeting with Dave. The first two were nice and had a good portfolio of pictures, but nothing that blew me away. I was a little discouraged thinking I'd simply have to settle. A friend of my husband recommended that we speak with Dave as he had heard good things. We instantly hit it off with him and we were blown away by his work. Needless to say, we booked him right then and there. Dave did our engagement photos in June. He was extremely flexible on time and locations. I have been told by many of my friends that their photographers only allowed them to shoot in two places -- anything else would be an up-charge. When I proposed a Saturday session at a winery outside of town, I was worried about the response I'd get. What do you know? Dave was completely game for it! We took the most beautiful sunset photos at William Chris Winery and a small park outside Johnson City. I had all of the photos in hand a week later, and they were spectacular. Our wedding was four months later. I'm not gonna lie, we missed our friend Dave during that time. We felt like we should schedule another session with him -- perhaps of our dog. Ha! Dave has a super cute family and you can keep up them on Instagram. Now for our wedding. We were married in a church and had an outdoor reception along the lake. Dave and his second shooter were running around the entire time, but no one ever really noticed. They worked so hard to capture every moment. I had several family members and friends come up to me after the wedding to say they met Dave or enjoyed his work. When we got back from our honeymoon, our pictures were in our inbox. They were absolutely stunning!! I am actually struggling to figure out which ones I like the most. I discover something new and interesting every time I look at them. Everyone is in awe. I would absolutely recommend Dave of DCM Photography to capture your most important life events! You don't need to waste your time looking elsewhere.

Pros: -The prices are posted upfront on the website. -Prepared, punctual, and responsive. Frank was on time for our engagement shoot, and early for our wedding day. They were setup and finishing up their test shots before we arrived at the venue. -Frank and his assistant (I think Mike?) went above and beyond on the wedding day. They helped make sure our outfits looked perfect. It had rained earlier during the day on the wedding date, and they ran to grab some towels to dry the ground so that my dress didn't get wet in some of the prime photo locations at the venue (Hummingbird House). -They also helped divert some persistent bees that were swarming our bouquets - this is one of those unspoken but valuable perks if you have an outdoor January ceremony. -Our wedding party loved them, too. They will pepper you with compliments and tell you when you've nailed a good pose. It's a great confidence boost for the one day where you'll be perpetually stressing over minuscule details in your appearance. -The photos! They're amazing! I'm really happy with how they turned out. -My husband and I weren't very picky with any sort of "vision" or "look" that we were trying to achieve in our photo shoots. We'd also never taken professional photos together prior to the engagement shoot. Frank helped direct us into optimal pose positions (e.g. cross or uncross your ankles, tilt your shoulders *this* direction, etc.), which cut out some of the awkward poses that we were forcing ourselves into within the first few minutes of the session. The result was a nice blend of formal/posey photos and natural/candid shots. Cons: -I don't really have any. Frank and his team are so pleasant and working with them was a stress-free experience. 10/10 would hire again.
