He listened to what our concerns and wishes were with what we were wanting from our photography and accomplished exactly what we asked for. We were both super awkward for posed photos but he found ways to make us look super natural (no idea how). I know we weren't easy, because I told him I absolutely hate posed photos, we did most of them before the ceremony and told him that once the ceremony hit, I wanted to enjoy the cocktail hour with my guests and we gave him like 20 minutes for posed photos lol. He nailed it! Our dream was to have photos mostly candid and of us and our guests just enjoying themselves and it's exactly what we got. I loved how many energetic candid shots he got of our guests in perfectly fun moments. He is tremendously talented and my husband and I both enjoyed working with him and getting to know him. Today's photography "trend" is the matte finish muted look, and we did not want that at all. We wanted photography capturing bright colors, fun, emotion, and cool portraits. John Winters does all of this and more. We first met a coffee shop to go over what we like about photography and John's packages and approach. We arrived at an agreement for some aerial footage for one of my videos, and after the files were lost from our shared drop box, and I asked if he could send them to me again, he tried to charge me double what we had initially agreed on. He is now holding the footage hostage and refusing to give me the clips or do anything to make it right. He technically still owes me $ from the first deal we made since he's refusing to deliver.

We asked Dave to also photograph our rehearsal dinner and he was all over! He even sent us a few "sneak" peeks the night of the dinner. 3. Dave is creative! Given our wedding was in the early evening in November, it gets dark early. He suggested a first look to get better lighting. We are definitely glad we listened! During our wedding he was essentially a gymnast, getting the best angle and had a second photographer to assist with EVERY SHOT! 4. QUICK turnaround!
