They have several parking garages that offer short term parking for free (like 30 min or less), but otherwise unless you have validation, you do have to pay. The spots are kind of small and so are the signs in the parking garage, so pay close attention to make sure you're driving in the right place. Overall though, this is a pretty good med center in my opinion that offers most of the major medical subspecialties you may need for your care. The inpatient rehab is also one of the best in Austin, and they are one of the only facilities that offers a driving test if there's a medical concern for someone's safety re: driving (e.g. in a patient with cognitive impairment/early dementia).

My mother was brought to the ER after suffering from severe diarrhea for two weeks. At the time of…read moreadmission, she was extremely weak and unable to retain any liquids. Despite her visible dehydration and the difficulty staff had establishing an IV, she remained in the ER for approximately four hours without receiving any IV fluids. Before being discharged, she suffered a physical setback, yet she was still sent home. The following day, we were notified that she tested positive for C. diff. It is deeply concerning that a patient in her condition, with what turned out to be a serious infection, was brushed off and discharged while still thirsty and weak. We now have to wait several days to see her primary care physician for follow-up care that should have been initiated or supported by the emergency team. I am disappointed by the lack of effort and the dismissive attitude we encountered during this visit. I would appreciate a review of her case and an explanation as to why standard interventions, such as administering saline fluids, were not provided given her symptoms. We can do better for all patients.

I was scheduled for surgery at 7:30 a.m. and was instructed to arrive at 5:30 a.m. My family and I understood that there could be some delays, but we were not prepared for the nearly eight-hour wait before my family was able to see me and before I was finally able to get a room. The extended wait was very difficult for both me and my family, particularly after arriving so early in the morning and undergoing surgery. The lack of information and the amount of time spent waiting made an already stressful experience even more difficult. I understand that unexpected delays can occur in a hospital setting, and I appreciate the work of the medical staff involved in my care. However, I believe better communication regarding the delay and more timely updates for both the patient and family would have made a significant difference. I hope the hospital will review what happened and consider ways to improve communication, patient flow, and the process for getting patients settled into their rooms after surgery. Patients and their families deserve to know what is happening and to receive reasonable updates when significant delays occur. Thank you for taking my concerns seriously. Everyone from the front desk to the imaging area was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The nurses were thorough, professional, and caring. The radiology tech was one of the nicest people I've met in a minute! The doctor actually spoke to me like a real person. This was in stark contrast to the CareNow clinic I visited earlier in the day wherein the doc stared at his computer screen as he typed the whole time he was in the room with me. At Ally, the doc had a conversation and let me have a voice in my care plan. She actually seemed like she cared about what was going on with me even though we didn't really figure it out. She made she I was safe to go about life and try to figure it out with my pcp, which was all I needed. I had seen the Ally logo around but didn't know what it was. Now I know they are my emergency medicine ally! Hope I don't have to go back, but know I'll choose Ally over anywhere else if I do.

I called St David's & talked to a real local person, who empathized with me. Night & day difference & the choice was clear. I had a couple tests scheduled at the outpatient imaging center. The day of my testing, everyone I interacted with was smiling, upbeat, & so friendly. They seemed to go out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. I went to St. David Surgical Hospital in Round Rock today for the first time. I was getting an…read moreinjection in my back. I will say, they spared no money in this building. When you walk in to register there is a huge lobby area, very nicely decorated, where you can sit and wait. We found a parking spot out front but if there are none available you can drive around back to the parking garage and both are free. After about a five minute wait, they came to get me and take me back and everything looked very neat and clean in the rooms. I will say that my injection was about 45 minutes late but I think that's more on the doctor than the surgical center. The nurses and the rest of the staff were all very friendly and joked around with me, which makes the experience that much better. Overall, I think that facility is very nice and I would not hesitate to go there again for any type of procedure!
