I am reviewing the clinic in Georgetown, but wish there were two separate areas to rate: the clinic doctors, and the clinic management and lab staff. I have been coming to this clinic since it first opened 3 or so years ago, and the doctors, nurses, follow up care and Mychart App affiliated with it are excellent! The lab and office management directly responsible for the lab are the reason for the one=star rating. I had an appointment there today and met my new doctor, Chao Nguyen who was excellent, had me in the examining room by my scheduled appointment time and offered great advice and care. He walked me to the lab afterwards, put my lab slip in the incoming basket and it was downhill from there. I waited 45 minutes before I was seen without any communication whatsoever from the lab staff. When a woman did come out after 45 minutes, she called the name of a person who got there way after me, not bothering to ask who was first and obviously not caring. Thankfully the gentleman let her know that i had been waiting longer and I was called in. (The exact same thing has happened to be before at this location, but I didn't speak up and just went with it. Today the wait was longer and I was upset at the long wait, so if that gentleman hadn't spoke about it, I would have!) There was no apology for the wait and no explanation, so on my way out I asked to speak to the office manager about it. The office manager did not apologize and didn't really say anything either, but left me standing there feeling like I was wrong to voice my concern. I will not be returning to this clinic or lab unless they create a new policy and have a sign saying something like "if you are not waited on by lab staff within (10, 15 or 20) minutes, please see the front desk". Sitting there ignored for 45 minutes and being treated rudely and waited on out of order is not acceptable. Others waiting with me tended to agree and each of them said they had waited to be seen in the lab for long periods in the past, just like me. read more
