We showed up to Uhaul ready to rent our truck and had a horrible experience. Long story short, we did not get a truck like we had been promised/reserved. The owner, Joe, happened to be next to me when this all happened at the counter. I was so frustrated I had to walk outside and let my fiancee deal with the smug representative parroting corporate policy. We had movers scheduled with a nonrefundable deposit, and now we were being told we didn't have a moving truck. Joe came outside shortly after and consoled me. He told me the same thing had happened to him before and understood how infuriating it was. He gave me his business card and told me to call him if things didn't work out. He promised me he would make a truck available to us with movers, and assured me that we could work out a price afterwards. His concern was that we get our stuff situated in an efficient and timely manner. We ended up getting a truck from Buda at the last minute, but based on the compassion, professionalism (that UHaul was lacking), and mutual respect I would gladly do business with them in the future. I know from being a business owner that culture starts at the top, and the owner of this company is an exceptional human being.

He a dolly and duck tape and had the rug loaded up in his truck within 5 minutes. The bill was the minimum charge. The rug was heavy--11 x 15. He managed it by himself. this guy was prompt, professional, polite, strong. Would definitely use him (and the company) again. Great experience.
