The waitress was offended I didn't like it. I said it's no big deal. I just wanted to pay and leave. But, she said "I'll pay for it". I was shocked! I said "no it's okay". She just ignored me. Disappeared. I left 15 dollars at the register. The server was a tall caucasian, blonde, tattoos. Just terrible service. Never going back.

Everything that came with it like the scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and sourdough toast was okay. The coffee is nothing to write home about. What was weird was that I served my food before I was served coffee, which I ordered all at the same time. The interior looked good, and I like the sea theme they went with their restaurant. During my second visit, I had dinner on a Sunday and the restaurant was almost vacant. I ordered the Halibut Special with the Blueberry Milkshake. The bread halibut and prawns were great, while the fries tasted very good on their own. The tartar sauce was also great and made the seafood taste spectacular. The coleslaw, however, was mildly bland, even if it was free with my entrée. The milkshake was pretty great, with the whip cream flourishing with flavour. So I recommend JoJo's more for their lunches and dinners rather than their breakfasts.

Our food took an hour to come out after ordering. We had the prime rib which came lukewarm. We asked for the bill and it took another 40-45 minutes to pay. We never got our waters refilled. I'd potentially forgive them for the food wait since it was "somewhat busy" but the bill wait was unacceptable. It was at the end of day and almost empty. Would not recommend.

There may have been a half of a cup total in the glass. We then got calamari for the appetizer and it was fresh and delicious. Had a hint of spice but nothing overwhelming. Next was poke bowl and Baja fish tacos. Poke bowl was nice and fresh. The tacos lacked in flavor and there were more toppings of cabbage and poco than there was of the fish. It was the size of a fish stick. That was disappointing. The. The fries were hot and seasoned well but a little undercooked for my liking. For $21, I want a nice side of fish in my taco. Not paying for tortilla and cabbage. Our waiter was really nice too.

The outside of the restaurant looked really cute, very relaxed atmosphere as soon as you walk in, and we were met with friendly hospitality. But right after we placed our order, any hint of service ceased. We ordered, as pictured below, 2 salads. SALADS. Nothing else and it took nearly an hour to get our food. Our server, throughout this 50 minute period, did not check on us once. We finally had enough and asked, only to be met with a dismissive "your food should be out in a minute." A different lady, possibly a manager or supervisor, brought out our food and had the audacity to stop and chat with one of the other servers, while holding our hour-long salads. As you can see in the picture, the toast that came with one salad was burnt. My steak, which I ordered as medium, was overseasoned and overcooked. The lady who brought out our food was the one who finally noticed that we were out of water and brought a pitcher over. She and the server then proceeded to check on us 4 different times, seemingly out of guilt, but never acknowledged what happened. I fully understand that mistakes and breakdown in communication happen, but at least have the decency to acknowledge it and apologize. I chose not to make a scene because other patrons in the restaurant do not deserve to be disturbed. No service equals no tip seems only fair.

To be fair I had checked that area out as I know it's been revitalized in the last half decade, and the ratings were pretty good. It's a cool space with an upstairs that was not open, with a somewhat industrial look which is right up my alley. Give me open wood beams, conduit, bricks and an industrial floor and I'll move in. The service was top notch, Mackenzie was there when we wanted her, and understood we would be there a while catching up. For a younger server, she showed experience beyond her years, and was excellent. We should have tipped her more, and I hate the preset tip percentages. Typically don't use them, but I had a brain fart today. Three of our diners loved their meals. The lovely K loved the fish sandwich, our friends their B&S classic sandwich and most especially the Prawn Cobb salad. Unfortunately my Honey Thyme fried chicken sandwich was not good. Overcooked and black with a paltry amount of fries, not a good $23.00 meal. Would we go again, yes I would because I think someone just f'd my food up. If I was to get that again and it looked like mine today did I would for sure send it back.

Despite it being quite busy, the service was remarkably fast, efficient and friendly! The environment on a Saturday was definitely "pre-party" in that the music was loud (but just under being too loud), the crowd was happy and having fun. I saw at least one round of shooters going by to a table of older folks, lol! If you have an aversion to loud places, try the outdoor seats or maybe wear Loops or other such gear. It is a pub, but kids are allowed until 9pm. As for the food, we just ordered the calamari and the wings (salt & pepper as the hubby can't eat chilies). We were really surprised at how good they both were. The calamari had a thin, crispy coating that wasn't too greasy. The wings were properly and fully cooked without being overcooked. So many busy pubs serve half raw wings, so I was really pleased with the wings. Also, I thought the chicken was of good quality, not something I usually notice with this dish.
