The chicken strips were made the same way they make their fish. Nonetheless, they were pretty good. My father liked his food. He even let me try on of pieces that I thought tasted good. When I had them before, they long thin strips of batter. Their menu is somewhat minimal with only a few appetizer choices and mostly deep-fried seafood. I thought the service was admirable and had no complaints that came to mind. C-Lovers is not the best place for Fish & Chips; however, it is one of the better restaurants out there. The coleslaw, however, was mildly bland, even if it was free with my entrée. The milkshake was pretty great, with the whip cream flourishing with flavour. So I recommend JoJo's more for their lunches and dinners rather than their breakfasts.

It took longer than usual for our meal and when my potato crusted cod was cold I mentioned it but told her not to worry I'd still eat it. To our surprise she had the entree removed without saying a word. We realized this in time to tip her handsomely as it was greatly appreciated but not expected. But right after we placed our order, any hint of service ceased. We ordered, as pictured below, 2 salads. SALADS. Nothing else and it took nearly an hour to get our food. Our server, throughout this 50 minute period, did not check on us once. We finally had enough and asked, only to be met with a dismissive "your food should be out in a minute." A different lady, possibly a manager or supervisor, brought out our food and had the audacity to stop and chat with one of the other servers, while holding our hour-long salads. As you can see in the picture, the toast that came with one salad was burnt. My steak, which I ordered as medium, was overseasoned and overcooked. The lady who brought out our food was the one who finally noticed that we were out of water and brought a pitcher over. She and the server then proceeded to check on us 4 different times, seemingly out of guilt, but never acknowledged what happened. I fully understand that mistakes and breakdown in communication happen, but at least have the decency to acknowledge it and apologize. I chose not to make a scene because other patrons in the restaurant do not deserve to be disturbed. No service equals no tip seems only fair.
