Wow! I could have never taught my 17-year-old stubborn son (who takes after his mom) the ins and outs of driving like this school in Stone Oak. The teaching in this school is extensive with road rules, moving your vehicle in tight places, and my son can parallel park, easily. The key for parents to understand, is you must allow your child to drive and drive often with you - highways and all to be safe in SA. This is an international city with a lot of traffic. This school gave my son the confidence and skills he needed to drive in this city - he also made 100% - very much worth the money. read more

UPDATE: We are just leaving Leon Springs DMV and my daughter passed her driver's test here only missing 10 points!!! She was complimented on her driving and told she was the only person who had passed all day. Now I'm convinced Austin Driving School is a ratchet to get you to buy a class ($65) if your kid is parent taught!!! 48 hours does not constitute such a drastic change. If you want to end up teaching your child to drive this is the place. Obviously after they go to the class part and then run out to get there permit, kids want to start driving immediately. My thing with my daughter was I paid for someone else to teach you so I don't have to have a frickin heart attack on the road. So she kept saying that She couldn't get an drive time and sure enough she has driven 2 times over the past 4 months. So who has to Let her drive to get some practice, me!!! So yeah by the time I guess it's time for her license they will cram in the rest of the hours she needs. And trust me I looked and looked at reviews at several different schools and picked this one and I am truly disappointed. read more

This was the worst experience and ruined my self esteem and confidence when it comes to driving. I took my test here and the instructor was nothing but negative and critical. At the beginning of the exam, he told me specifically that he would, "not make any corrections during my exam." However, as soon as I started my exam the man started scolding me very loudly about certain things I was doing. It was clear his intent was to rattle me, although I had already told him I was extremely nervous. It was clear the more he scolded me, the more nervous I got. He even proceeded to say that my parents, "cheaped out" by not getting lessons with Austin Driving School and "this is the problem with parent taught drivers" WHILE I WAS TAKING MY EXAM. After my exam, he stated that it was "one of the lowest scores he had given." He also stated, "I'm not saying you're a bad driver but..." clearly imply to a 16 year old that are a bad driver. I did not end up passing, yet I appreciate constructive criticism however, this was far beyond that. It was belittling and cruel. It was $80 to take the exam. With reason, my mother asked for her money back yet was denied by the owner. The instructor was defended in his behavior by the owner because the instructor ended up being his son. He stated that it, "didn't sound like something he would do or say" and that I most likely didn't hear him correctly. Please do not go here. Edit: I passed at the DMV 2 days later with nearly a perfect score. The lady said I was the best driver she's seen all day. It's a lot easier to drive without being berated by your "instructor." If that doesn't prove that Austin Driving School is a ratchet I don't know what does. read more

The staff at Austin Driving School's Huebner location has gone out of their way to help my dyslexic daughter pass driving school. She was very nervous about it and they could not have been kinder and more accommodating. They made sure that she learned the material, and helped her when she needed it. Worst experience ever! Run! Worth going to Ayala Driving School on De Zavala. Lady booking apt. Is very unprofessional and rude. We waited two months to finish our son's driving lessons. The classes are very booked up and they don't care about the hours your children have before they put them on the road. I would suggest a different driving school and time with a parent in teaching your child how to drive. read more

Today at the Rim in san antonio, I witnessed the driving instructor taking a student into a right lane with the road ending and doing a left turn while cars were in the left turn only into a single lane. The right lane was for turning into an apartment complex. This was nearly a multi car accident including me! I called the Huebner 210 san antonio location number. Then I was transferred to corporate in Austin when calling. When I voiced my concerns I was hung up on. I called back and spoke to Dawn who exemplified poor customer service while asking me for a license plate number after a near miss accident. There would be no way to know it. I sated it was a black car and Dawn said she knows which one as they only have one black car. I was shaken up in a near miss and absolutely They have no empathy or exemplify no responsibility. it was apparent that the corporate office did not want to deal with it. She wanted to get off of the phone as soon as possible. I affirmed that it was the fault of the driving instructor. Taking a student which was beforehand having issues driving as I observed for a few minutes beforehand. Then taking the student on an illegal maneuver. They don't care. Do Not use this company they are awful! I simply took the time because any reputable company would be professional and thankful for my time taken to provide them with helpful information to protect the driver and the public. read more

Worst experience I can imagine. I was given incorrect information over the phone, was told (and paid) the wrong amount, and now I can't get any driving appointments. I was told, "Everyone makes mistakes." This is true, but good businesses make it right. The mistakes ADS made has caused my daughter to not be able to start driving practice for over a month (and counting). I am still currently waiting to get an appointment. The secretary said she would call me when appointments open. This did not happen. I was told to call at 9AM. They are closed. I called and left messages. No response. How do they not know the driving schedule for the next week? Poorly run business at best, but they know they have zero competition and don't seem to care. I have paid hundreds of dollars and still NO driving lessons. NEVER AGAIN. I will drive across town for my next child to take lessons elsewhere. I can't comment on the instructors. read more
