6 hours after, almost completely fine and without inflammation
    Julie G.

I have had two wisdom tooth surgeries with Dr. Hoover and I couldn't be happier with the experience! He's great, really caring and kind. During my first surgery, I was super nervous, but he made sure to check on me multiple times, worked fast, and talked to me the whole time to keep me calm and explain everything he was doing! I didn't have too much pain after the surgery, and by the third day, I was completely recovered! I highly recommend HIM, he's really awesome. I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but the girls at the front desk always seem to have an attitude for some reason... Anyways, Dr. Hoover's experience was definitely 5 stars!

This is the bottom half portion of the "estimate" I was given. With the teeth # and location.

This review is for the front office staff. Specifically the woman who claimed she was the manager. I believe her name is Jackie. Dr. Hoover has been great. I came here to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I referred my dad here to get some extractions. An referred a few friends. I'm really disappointed with the front office receptionist I spoke with earlier this week. About a month ago my grandmother had a consultation to get some extractions done. After the consultation the office was slammed with folks checking in/checking out/ charging out etc. So the gal who helped us a month ago (Lauren I believe) was awesome. She booked the next appointment and told us we were set to return back for the procedure. I asked if we needed anything else, or had to go over anything an we were told no. So we left and she said they would call if anything. Fast forward to our appointment this week, the other receptionist who said she was the manager checked us in. I was asking her if she could confirm with Dr if we could get the extractions done in 2 rounds. Or better to get them all done that day. (My grandmother needed a few extractions done) I assumed she spoke with Dr since she said it would be better to get them all done that day then wait longer and have a longer recovery time. I agreed with that option and chatted more with her. It wasn't until my grandma was called up that we were told after the procedure we'd discuss payment. I was so confused about a payment since we were never told how much this would be. I told the receptionist that no one ever went over a dental plan of extraction, billing charges, and co payment. She responded that it was our responsibility to be aware of what the dental plan covers in my grandmas insurance. And our responsibility to call back to ask how much we have to pay for the procedure. She said it was just a courtesy if someone calls to go over it with us. When I tried to communicate multiple times to the receptionist that the staff never discussed the payment/charges or total cost for the extractions she got really hostile and confrontational with me. I told the woman I'd like to speak with a manger just to communicate that I felt it was unfair no one ever communicate with us any costs before the procedure, so we were under the assumption the insurance my grandmother had would cover the cost. She rudely said "I am the manager" and shook her head and refused to get another person in the office I could speak with. I kindly asked her for a print out or anything that said how much we were due. So that I could physically see anything so I can save up for this procedure and come back. But again, she was hostile and responded that there wasn't anything to print out for me. When I pleaded and asked again she printed out the Dental claim detail report and handed it to me. Again, I tried to communicate with the receptionist that I was just disappointed no one ever communicated the total cost. An this was something that would have to be postponed for my grandmother, she wasn't sympathetic and instead was rude. As soon as that interaction ended another tech came out with my grandmas chart to call out for her. I told the tech "sorry, we're not doing the procedure today, we're gonna have to cancel. It's not happening" the receptionist responded "yeah they can't do it after all" The tech threw my grandmas chart on the counter in front of me then turned around quickly through the door. That interaction felt really dramatic. The whole situation felt really dramatic from the staff. I really hope someone in management sees this and can address it accordingly.

She took the time to carefully evaluate my tooth, review my imaging, and explain exactly what was going on in a way that actually made sense. What really stood out to me was her honesty and conservative approach--rather than automatically recommending a root canal, she walked me through all of my options and ultimately avoided a root canal altogether, which I truly appreciated. It's rare to find a dentist who prioritizes what's best for the patient instead of jumping to the most aggressive treatment, and Dr. Seini clearly does. She made me feel completely comfortable, never rushed the appointment, and answered all of my questions thoughtfully. I left feeling confident, relieved, and genuinely grateful for her expertise and integrity. If you're looking for a dentist you can trust, who takes the time to do things right, I highly recommend Dr. Seini.

The cleaning was $99 but they charge you for x-rays / full exam, even though you only come in for a cleaning. I guess they require it for new patients. It was an ok cleaning I guess with a few mishaps. - The tech did not suction the water (that is flowing behind the cleaning tool), so I upchucked water on myself 2x. They didn't have papertowels nearby to clean up so I had to wait for them to get me some. - When I got home over the next several days, my floss still got stuck in my teeth. So I searched for another place to get a cleaning about 1 month later. - I think the tech is supposed to floss as part of last steps to make sure they got everything out There were some issues raised to suggest I needed to get replacements such as on my crown (that crowns only last 10-15 yrs or something) and costs $950. - I had to go get a 2nd opinion about it. The 2nd doctor said it was not necessary at this time. But the good news is, the visit inspired me to get dental insurance due to the possible need for a crown replacement in the future. So it was a good warning to do preventative care in the future.

I posted a discussion on Yelp and received recommendations on oral surgeons in the area. I had a Delta Dental HMO plan but since it didn't cover anything, I was prepared to pay out of pocket for this. I was highly recommended to Dr. Owen by a fellow Yelper. I had already called 20 other places and checked on pricing and availability. Dr. Owen spoke to me on the phone and explained the entire procedure. He also gave me an estimate on pricing was also available to do the surgery in the time frame I needed so I decided to go to him. His office is clean and comfortable (not scary at all!) His staff were nicest people I have ever met! I went in for a consultation and they took my panoramic X-rays. All of their equipment was new and current with the technology. He gave me a really fair deal on my wisdom teeth, $1590, including local anesthesia and IV drip. Since my wisdom teeth were full bony impactions, it would be a difficult procedure. However, I was paying out of pocket for this so he was generous to let me pay $1590 instead of $1900. Dr. Owen and his staff carefully went over instructions on pre and post surgery care and gave me my prescription of Vicodin and antibiotics in advance to fill. He also gave me extra gauze for my mouth and gave me the option to keep my teeth! I decided to donate them to dental school instead. I returned for the surgery. He and his staff were very professional and treated me with the utmost care. After a long 3 hour surgery, they were able to take 4 wisdom teeth out of my tiny mouth! I was groggy after surgery and my boyfriend drove me home. The first 3 days, I iced with a bag of peas and then heated. I slept a lot, watched movies, drank a lot of protein shakes, smoothies, and kefir. I did not get a lot of swelling in my cheeks as I had thought. It was probably due to the post opt care instructions that I followed to a tee. It has been 9 days since my procedure and I have healed wonderfully! I returned for a follow-up appointment and Dr. Owen checked to see how everything was healing and gave me an irrigation tool. After 9 days, I can eat soft foods, bread, and my jaw is becoming less sore. I am very happy to have found a highly skilled oral surgeon since I have heard horror stories from my friends! Dr. Owen and his staff are the nicest people I have ever met. I was always terrified of going to the dentist but now I am happy to know that there are nice and gentle dentists out there! I highly recommend going to Dr. Owen and his staff!
