The hidden benefit is that I often have lots of extra time to stroll the concourse, get some steps in & blood flow going, and check out the interesting innovations, public art installations, and local flavor of the airports on my itinerary. Imagine my delight to find this little pocket of whimsy at the east end of the Barbara Jordan Terminal near Gate 14 (as if you're headed toward Delta and the Public Patio).
