Stopped in here because we were close and had a bit of an emergency. Stuck SIM card in a newly un-boxed premium phone. CJ was able to use his magic and tools to get it out and in no time we were in business. He didn't even want us to pay since "it was only 20 minutes of work". I sincerely thank these guys for helping us and being so patient. Great shop, great customer service. Great job. read more

Austex PCS Cell Repair - Mobile Phone Repair Near Me - Austin, Texas

Had a cracked screen in my iPhone and my search led me to Aus-TEX PCS Wireless. They were near my home and had the best prices listed on their site. They were quick, staff was nice and the price was great!! 25 minutes later I was good to go!! Will be back soon...my battery is slowing down. Thanks!!! read more

Hate to spoil all the 5 star reviews. Beg to differ...This is a cash only business-charges fee for credit/debit cards. This is a DUH-me story. I initially came in with non-charging USB, To look at it was $75.00 - No can do. 2nd option was a battery charger to individually charge the removable battery. I got it due to needing my phone till I order a replacement. I later found out the cost was upped. I paid $25.00 for a cell battery changer. I found it cost $ 3.00. I say don't upgrade your supplies to innocent shoppers. Also, they take no returns. Some reviews say "Honest People", NO!!! read more

My friend and I went here a couple of months ago to get our phones fixed. Mine is an iPhone XR and his is a Samsung "???." My screen was shattered and the back of his phone was shattered. His phone was almost $70 to repair, mine was a little more than double that. Both phones done in an hour and a half, and now we both have what feel like brand new phones! Both very happy, these guys really know phones and we had a great experience. Will (hopefully not have to) be back! read more

Came in for a replacement screen on my phone. They gave me an accurate estimate on time (which was about 30 minutes). Fair price. Phone seems to be working fine. Very pleased! read more

Great knowledge of cell phones. Provide best service or phone at a price customer can afford. Not afraid to recommend other options.

Greg and his crew are the best. I've been doing business with Austex Pcs for over 10 years and the service is top notch and the prices are more than fair. If you need anything phone or computer related from repair to accessories this is the go to place. Keep up the good work fellas! read more

The Mister is pretty picky about what type of holder he uses for his cell phone and likes the one he found here. Not sure why my husband insist on using these because they just aren't secure. His cell has slipped out in the car, at a bar, during the war, while stuck in tar and traveling far. But our son has been the main reason we have used Aus Tex PCS. He has dropped his cell in a swimming pool where it lay until a friend found it. Another time it slipped into the shower. (How does that happen?) Each time, the repair guys had the phone up and running within a day. Recently, the kid left his charger in his friends' dorm room at Texas State and it was never seen again. After watching him mope for days, as though his right arm had been shot off, we purchased a charger for $10 less than the original with the stipulation that he pay us back. Cell phone life lessons are never easy. read more

I've had four water related incidents with electronics since I got a pager in 1995. Two of them were solved at Aus Tex PCS.... for $45. So, when you take the test to see if you are an alcoholic there is normally not a question regarding dropping your cellphone. perhaps that's b/c AA started pre cellphone, or perhaps it is because there are not horrible long lasting effects as a result of cellphone damage because Aus Tex will fix it. Don't stress if your phone gets submerged, it just takes a day of waiting to get it back. Everyone is decently nice at the store. If you are horrified of birds, don't look in the north east corner of the store. They have parrots. In addition to fixing water damaged phones they have: parts, accessories, used phone sales, capability to unlock phones, etc. AND, they are right next to tam deli. read more

Writing from their waiting room, where I've been for 105 minutes and counting (even though the phone was supposed to be ready when I got here). Two EXTREMELY noisy birds made the wait as unpleasant as possible, though the general atmosphere (reminiscent of the DMV or perhaps an emergency room a couple hours after the bars close) wasn't all that pleasant to begin with. Why are these phone places always so shady? read more

I came in with my IPhone 4S dropped it on my bike going 75Mph and they were about to make it look like new from a completely destroyed phone. Back plate was gone battery was gone when I got back to the phone. And the front was shattered. And. Now it looks like new. The repair was cheep to and fast. You have to use this place! read more

I had an amazing experience with this service not once but twice! My son broke my phone twice and both times Austex PCS worked hard to get my phone fixed super fast! The owner also made sure that my phone was perfect when I picked it up and even charged it for me! The price was reasonable for the repairs done. Great service! read more

very professional technically. I brought in my galaxy S4 in, thought all I need was just a replacement of screen. But it turned out the motherboard has some problem. So they replaced me with a like-new motherboard with very reasonable price. The diagnosis, dissemble, re-assemble takes only more than half an hour. Very fast! The parrots and puppy dogs in store are cute! Strongly recommended! read more

I've had pretty good luck of dropping my phone and not having the screen break until recently. In a matter of weeks, though, my phone screen broke twice. In the first screen break, I broke my IPhone 6 screen in the most non-epic way on a Friday: tripping over my own feet while I walked with my phone in my hand. Yep. I tripped and my phone screen helped me break my fall. It was a pretty bad screen crack, but it still worked. I decided to take in since it seemed the crack was getting bigger. The guys were super nice, gave me some advice, and everything was perfect. Unfortunately, within a couple of weeks, I noticed that the screen was moving when I pressed down. The screen was coming unglue from the phone itself. I called them and told me to bring it in and I had planned on doing it during the weekend. Then, things got worse before I could take it in. After having the phone in my pocket, the screen got a hairline crack and my screen wasn't working anymore! With 10 minutes to spare, I went back here and they fixed it. They told me that the case was a bit bent, so that's probably caused the screen to unglue. Since the phone was in my back pocket, it caused the crack and the screen stopped working. Fantastic. They did fix it and charged me at cost to put a new screen since it was partially their fault and mine. They stayed late to get it fixed. Overall, great service but they lose a star for not telling me about the case potentially bending after the screen break. read more

I have a samsung galaxy s5 and the cover to the charging port broke off. Of course i looked online to see if i could fix it myself, part was $3 on Amazon plus shipping, I can do this..but then I saw you had to take stuff apart..nope! One place was consistent in good reviews, yes its in a strip mall ,in the hood. But the service is probably better than you'd get at the Domain. $10 land many laughs later my phone is back to new Thank you read more

After waking up from a nice nap, I reached over to the side table to turn my phone alarm off. Then it smashed on the floor. I pick it up slowly...please god please no cracks...and the whole thing was SHATTERED. UGH! There's nothing worse...especially when you don't have insurance. I take it in Austex the next day. They say 30 or so minutes for the repair, so I decide to get my nails done then come back. With my super fresh amazing nails I walk in and it's BEAUTIFUL! So pretty and it somehow looked ten times better than before the screen cracked. I get home to take a selfie with my cat (as all crazies like me do), when I flip to the front facing camera nothing showed up. Ruh roh. I turn it off to restart it but when it was booting back up some white text popped up like old school black and white computers. I immediately drove over to the place and they were closed. The nice tech explained he didn't have the time to use the software he needed but I could try it at home and if it didn't I could come back tomorrow. It didn't work. Couldn't update it, couldn't restore it. I came back the next day and they fixed it in under an hour! The tech let me watch too. It was a fun way to spent my Saturday afternoon. Turns out the heating element (which really isn't the name, it was too computer-y for me to understand) was damaged and he replaced it with a new one. It was something they had rarely seen. So another ten bucks later (wamp, wamp) it was as good as new! I was skeptical that it went kaput after I took it there but I now realize it was just a coincidence from probably too much face-timing. Good prices, sweet staff and quick service. Not too shab. Thanks guys! read more

Never ever ever go anywhere else Greg is definitely a customer service person. He will send you to another company if he can't do the best thing for your phone. I brought my phone he fixed it covered it up with the Superman hard to break cover and my phone is as good as new. He is someone you should trust unlike some of the other phone repair people out there as you can see his reputation precedes him I will always come back to this store whenever I need anything from my phone whether it's a repair a wallet or just a charger.!!! read more

Took care of my charging issue right in front of me. No more issues with plugging in cables!

These guys are great! I took in my daughter's water damaged phone to see if it was salvageable. They took it apart, found that the screen was damaged and then they gave me great advice to save me money! They were honest with me and told me that the cost of a new Verizon screen was more than buying an quality replacement (which was going to have to be from a different store since they didn't have anything comparable). And the best part is they didn't charge me anything! read more

Excellent customer service, family run business and my iPhone 6 Plus was fixed fast and at a fair price. What more can you ask for? Stop looking for a place to get your phone repaired & come down here - they do computer repair too! Support Austin local businesses- they've been in business over 10 years, that speaks volumes about how they run their business read more

So simple and affordable! I came in Saturday morning and dropped my iPhone off to replace its cracked screen. It was done in 30 minutes and delivered back in perfect condition. Thanks! read more

Had some thick lint in my phone so I could not use my charger and they took care of it free of charge. My carrier couldn't do it. Thanks. read more

Horrible. I have never written a negative review and hope this is the last. My experience is only one star because of the girls at the counter are superior and their co-hort tech is unprofessional and lazy. read more

I went here to get my iPhone 3G fixed. I had cracked the glass. They fixed it for me for a reasonable price and told me if there were any problems to bring it back. Well, the screen became unresponsive, not all of the time, but often enough. I took it back and asked them to take another look at it. They did and fixed it good as new. No more problems now and they didn't charge me during the second visit. read more

I had my iPhone 5 screen replaced here today... Turned out the digitizer was broken not just the glass (I stepped on it). I asked about the $100 special on their website for glass repair and they honored it anyway, full face replacement is typically $140. As if this wasn't good enough, I was in and out within 10 minutes. Phone is working great, just like new! I would prefer not to crack my screen again and hope I don't need their services, however, if I do, I will definitely return! Best price I could find in Austin from a legit business with fast quality service... Couldn't ask for much more. I highly recommend! read more

Superior Service... I'm am so impressed with Cable. He is the cell phone repair GURU of Austin,Texas ! He can fix any cell phone and can explain the process to you! read more

Again, these guys are just the best in customer service....took my rooted smartphone that had gone all goofy after some unwanted update messed everything up and they got me back to operational in a relative short time and a very fair price...I've done business with them for over 10 years when they used to have a south location as well...super friendly and super knowledgeable....why would you go anywhere else?..... read more

I brought in two Atrixes, (Atrices?) one with a cracked glass and the other with a nonfunctioning glass and earpiece. I used the Yelp deal voucher, and they fixed both phones for 100 each instead of the regular 125 and threw in the 30 ear piece repair for free. The phones both work like new. It did take a week to get the parts in, but I'm not complaining.... I know there are probably cheaper places to get this kind of fix, but they stand behind their work and they are local. read more

I highly suggest this place. My galaxy note 3 screen was cracked but they replaced my screen really well. I am satisfied :):):) Good service and really good prize!!! If you find to go somewhere to repair your screen, do not hesitate to go here!!! read more

Really great service. They revived and repaired my phone after it was completely trampled to death. They also found that my battery was exploding, and fixed that too, all for a really reasonable price. Highly recommend! read more

Can't recommend them enough! Very patient while trying to pull all my info and pictures off my dying phone. I think I was there over 3 hours while my old phone updated and transfered my precious memories. They were kind, professional and shared a lot of helpful tips on back up and storage info to avoid the panic I had in the future. They were also very very reasonable with the price. read more

I recently took my new Galaxy S9 into this shop. In my pocket was a screen protector. I had not purchased either of these items from Austex but needed assistance with the protector. The staff at this place is incredible. They handled my fix in 15 minutes, charged me a minimal service fee, and sent me out the door as a very satisfied customer. I will refer anyone I know to Austex. Very nice people, professional and thorough. My next phone purchase will definitely be in this store. Thank you for the great work! read more

These guys are great! I called and explained the issue and the gentleman on the phone assured me they had the parts and could fix my phone. The store was easy to get to and had ample parking. They fixed my phone in about 15 minutes, charged a very reasonable price that I was quoted on the phone, and were friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to return here if I ever need my phone or iPad or laptop worked on. Thanks again! read more

Nothing but praise for these guys. They've worked on my phone over the years, replaced a cracked screen and swapped out a faceplate which had issues with it's buttons. price is also very reasonable. read more

After shattering the screen on my 5c, I called around for a couple quotes. These guys were reasonably priced so I took my phone in. An hour later it was good to go! Unfortunately, a friend dropped my phone a couple days later and destroyed the LCD and glass screen. I took at in thinking it was beyond repair. Luckily, the owner said he would replace it again. He felt bad so he did the work for cost! I am only putting four stars because I wouldn't say it was as good as new, but it's pretty close. read more

Great place to have your phone worked on. My iphone 3GS had a weird problem and they never gave up. Phone works great! Prices are good and customer service is great. Strongly Recommend!! read more

These guys are a hoot! I was in the middle of an insane work weekend when my phone crapped out. I went in and they took really good care of me. Excellent customer service, excellent product and the parrots are a plus. They even fixed the screen on my back up for a discount. read more

Best price after driving to 6 different repair shops. In the creastview area. Just a short distance under the over pass down North Lamar before you hit the bad area. They fixed my phone in 30 mins and made recommendations to me on how to save money. Very honest and helped me select a new phone case and placed a cover on my phone. I ended up paying 140 for a new glass screen ($99) and $20 for case and and Titan cover. While I waited I got to eat lunch at the Vietnamese restaurant two doors down. I highly recommend this place and did I mention they have parrots and lots of over phone options! read more

Great service. Highly recommended. Took an iphone 6 in for a charging issue and they fixed it fast and reasonably priced. I'd send friends and family here. read more

Great service..Business owner is almost always on site to get things done promptly. I'm a habitual screen breaker instead of selling me more screens Greg the owner did his best to find things to protect my phone explaining the cost of protection is cheap compared to the cost of repair..Never had any issues with the quality of work done..And he has fixed 3 of my phone's one of the twice.. I'm not usually very happy to get a bill for avoidable negligence on my own part (life's stupid tax) but trusting a shop to get me out of it as painlessly as possible is a god send. Nothing like the feeling of most of your life shattered having to hope my pictures , contacts and documents I'm too lazy to back up are in good hands. read more
