I initially came in with non-charging USB, To look at it was $75.00 - No can do. 2nd option was a battery charger to individually charge the removable battery. I got it due to needing my phone till I order a replacement. I later found out the cost was upped. I paid $25.00 for a cell battery changer. I found it cost $ 3.00. The Mister is pretty picky about what type of holder he uses for his cell phone and likes the one he found here. Not sure why my husband insist on using these because they just aren't secure. His cell has slipped out in the car, at a bar, during the war, while stuck in tar and traveling far. But our son has been the main reason we have used Aus Tex PCS. He has dropped his cell in a swimming pool where it lay until a friend found it. Another time it slipped into the shower. (How does that happen?) Each time, the repair guys had the phone up and running within a day. Recently, the kid left his charger in his friends' dorm room at Texas State and it was never seen again. After watching him mope for days, as though his right arm had been shot off, we purchased a charger for $10 less than the original with the stipulation that he pay us back. I've had four water related incidents with electronics since I got a pager in 1995. Two of them were solved at Aus Tex PCS.... for $45. So, when you take the test to see if you are an alcoholic there is normally not a question regarding dropping your cellphone. perhaps that's b/c AA started pre cellphone, or perhaps it is because there are not horrible long lasting effects as a result of cellphone damage because Aus Tex will fix it. Don't stress if your phone gets submerged, it just takes a day of waiting to get it back. Everyone is decently nice at the store. If you are horrified of birds, don't look in the north east corner of the store. They have parrots. In addition to fixing water damaged phones they have: parts, accessories, used phone sales, capability to unlock phones, etc. AND, they are right next to tam deli. read more

I've had pretty good luck of dropping my phone and not having the screen break until recently. In a matter of weeks, though, my phone screen broke twice. In the first screen break, I broke my IPhone 6 screen in the most non-epic way on a Friday: tripping over my own feet while I walked with my phone in my hand. Yep. I tripped and my phone screen helped me break my fall. It was a pretty bad screen crack, but it still worked. I decided to take in since it seemed the crack was getting bigger. The guys were super nice, gave me some advice, and everything was perfect. Unfortunately, within a couple of weeks, I noticed that the screen was moving when I pressed down. The screen was coming unglue from the phone itself. I called them and told me to bring it in and I had planned on doing it during the weekend. Then, things got worse before I could take it in. After having the phone in my pocket, the screen got a hairline crack and my screen wasn't working anymore! With 10 minutes to spare, I went back here and they fixed it. They told me that the case was a bit bent, so that's probably caused the screen to unglue. Since the phone was in my back pocket, it caused the crack and the screen stopped working. Fantastic. They did fix it and charged me at cost to put a new screen since it was partially their fault and mine. They stayed late to get it fixed. Overall, great service but they lose a star for not telling me about the case potentially bending after the screen break. read more

After waking up from a nice nap, I reached over to the side table to turn my phone alarm off. Then it smashed on the floor. I pick it up slowly...please god please no cracks...and the whole thing was SHATTERED. UGH! There's nothing worse...especially when you don't have insurance. I take it in Austex the next day. They say 30 or so minutes for the repair, so I decide to get my nails done then come back. With my super fresh amazing nails I walk in and it's BEAUTIFUL! So pretty and it somehow looked ten times better than before the screen cracked. I get home to take a selfie with my cat (as all crazies like me do), when I flip to the front facing camera nothing showed up. Ruh roh. I turn it off to restart it but when it was booting back up some white text popped up like old school black and white computers. I immediately drove over to the place and they were closed. The nice tech explained he didn't have the time to use the software he needed but I could try it at home and if it didn't I could come back tomorrow. It didn't work. Couldn't update it, couldn't restore it. I came back the next day and they fixed it in under an hour! The tech let me watch too. It was a fun way to spent my Saturday afternoon. Turns out the heating element (which really isn't the name, it was too computer-y for me to understand) was damaged and he replaced it with a new one. It was something they had rarely seen. So another ten bucks later (wamp,wamp) it was as good as new! I was skeptical that it went kaput after I took it there but I now realize it was just a coincidence from probably too much face-timing. These guys are great! I took in my daughter's water damaged phone to see if it was salvageable. They took it apart, found that the screen was damaged and then they gave me great advice to save me money! They were honest with me and told me that the cost of a new Verizon screen was more than buying an quality replacement (which was going to have to be from a different store since they didn't have anything comparable). I went here to get my iPhone 3G fixed. I had cracked the glass. They fixed it for me for a reasonable price and told me if there were any problems to bring it back. Well, the screen became unresponsive, not all of the time, but often enough. I took it back and asked them to take another look at it. They did and fixed it good as new. I had my iPhone 5 screen replaced here today... Turned out the digitizer was broken not just the glass (I stepped on it). I asked about the $100 special on their website for glass repair and they honored it anyway, full face replacement is typically $140. As if this wasn't good enough, I was in and out within 10 minutes. Phone is working great, just like new! I would prefer not to crack my screen again and hope I don't need their services, however, if I do, I will definitely return! I brought in two Atrixes, (Atrices?) one with a cracked glass and the other with a nonfunctioning glass and earpiece. I used the Yelp deal voucher, and they fixed both phones for 100 each instead of the regular 125 and threw in the 30 ear piece repair for free. The phones both work like new. It did take a week to get the parts in, but I'm not complaining.... I know there are probably cheaper places to get this kind of fix, but they stand behind their work and they are local. read more

After shattering the screen on my 5c, I called around for a couple quotes. These guys were reasonably priced so I took my phone in. An hour later it was good to go! Unfortunately, a friend dropped my phone a couple days later and destroyed the LCD and glass screen. I took at in thinking it was beyond repair. Luckily, the owner said he would replace it again. Great service..Business owner is almost always on site to get things done promptly. I'm a habitual screen breaker instead of selling me more screens Greg the owner did his best to find things to protect my phone explaining the cost of protection is cheap compared to the cost of repair..Never had any issues with the quality of work done..And he has fixed 3 of my phone's one of the twice.. I'm not usually very happy to get a bill for avoidable negligence on my own part (life's stupid tax) but trusting a shop to get me out of it as painlessly as possible is a god send.
