We bought a bargain door for $30 and the hubby wanted to change out the 70's gold colored plexiglass in it. (We went to a glass store and it was going to be about $260. Gulp! I liked the retro look of the door, but wasn't prepared for that, after we'd already spent a couple hundred for the frame and threshold). So, our next stop was PP. At first the guy made a joke about having to look in the archives for a piece of retro plexiglass, but score! He found a piece of clear, semi obscured plexiglass that would work. It was going to be about $100 to have five pieces cut to fit the openings of our "project door". Cool beans. We paid for it and about a week later, got a call that our order was ready for pick up. Yay! They have so much more there than just plexiglass pieces. Check them out for any of your plastic needs!

One particular company that has door-to -door sales reps (Energy Star Construction) provided me with an estimate for a 200 sq ft concrete patio with pergola for 16k (He would be able to knock off 3k if I agreed to my property being a showcase; meaning people could come over and check it out or call me about it. No, thank you). The next week, I noticed Mike and his partner working on a patio down the block from me that was fabulous- cable hook-up for their outdoor TV, light scones, and fans. I asked him for contact information, and he said he would stop by for a free estimate later on in the day. When he came by, I explained to him what I was looking for and told him about the estimate from Energy Star Const., and he said he would be able to do the job for $6500. Moreover, he told me that the job that he was working on down the street was a $15,000 job. Baker custom Cabinets…read more 5stars We hired BCC to replace the current kitchen cabinets that were aged in our home. Let me tell you THEY DID AN AMAZING JOB. From start to finish we had clear communication through phone, email and text. We met with the BCC team in our home to discuss planning and cabinet options. We had never done this type of remodel so everything was new to us. They arrived to our home ahead of time (which was greatly appreciated) typically I'm the one who arrives early. While we were discussing options, it was clear to me that they were very knowledgeable about their skill. "Anything you want, we can do." They brought samples of cabinet styles they offered. We had a large selection to choose from. Every color, detail, stain was shown to us as an option. We started with inexpensive to the "Mercedes Benz" of cabinets. We choose a cabinet style and I began to explain that I wanted to add trash cans, a place for my baking supplies and a few drawers here and there. They took measurements and said okay, well send you an email with the images of what the cabinets will look like and you let us know if it is what you like or if you want to add/change anything, you let us know. I said great, I'll be waiting. 2 days later I had and email with a 3D drawing of our new cabinets! it was so exciting! After we approved the drawings, got all the final touches done. About 2 weeks later they showed up in a BCC truck and trailer to drop off our cabinets. We scheduled an install date and again, they showed up on time and prepared for the day.
