They didn't need to be reminded about anything we had made a request for. They worked hard and used their time well. The price for the deep clean was fair and we booked right away for next month. We appreciated several things in addition to everything being very clean. The people who had cleaned our house previously took longer to get the same results which made us feel like "When are we getting our house back?" Cathy and Pablo did the same quality of work in less time. My wife likes how the tile is not sticky from using too much cleaner in the mop water, and the fragrance is light not overpowering. All the surfaces shine and furniture was vacuumed, blinds dusted, appliances wiped down, stovetop very nice now. Honestly, they did a better job that we could do.

They were professional, respectful, and incredibly polite from start to finish. They worked efficiently, paid attention to every detail, and completed the job much quicker than we expected without sacrificing quality. We will definitely be recommending M&R Services to family and friends. Thank you for a great job!

We hired M&R Services for a landscaping project that ultimately totaled $2,850. The agreed work…read moreincluded front-yard sod and preparation, backyard grass removal/preparation and seeding, sprinkler work, mulch, trimming three trees, and bush trimming. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing from beginning to end. Before the work even started, the price changed significantly from the initial quote. The scheduled start date was also changed. During the project there were multiple issues with scheduling and communication, including late arrival times and eventually a no-show without any advance notice. There were several occasions when I had to repeatedly contact them just to find out what was happening. The actual work was also left substantially unfinished. Of the three trees we agreed to have trimmed, only two were completed. The bush trimming was not completed. The mulch work was only partially completed. The front yard was machine-dug, but the soil preparation, leveling, sprinkler work, sod delivery, and sod installation were never finished. The backyard was also machine-dug and seeded, but a noticeable amount of the existing grass/Bermuda remained intact. This was especially concerning because the purpose of the preparation was to remove the existing grass before establishing the new lawn. Large areas of the newly seeded grass also did not establish properly. We initially paid $1,850 toward the $2,850 project. After discussing the unfinished work, I requested a refund. At that time, I believed the backyard work could remain as-is and would not need to be redone, so about three days after requesting the refund I agreed to still pay for the backyard portion as part of the work that had been completed. M&R ultimately agreed to a partial refund of $1,130, leaving us effectively paying about $720 for the work they had completed. The refund itself took about a week to be fully paid. The bigger problem came afterward. Once another landscaper inspected the backyard more closely, we learned that the backyard preparation and grass removal also needed to be redone. We ended up having to hire another company to hand-dig and remove the remaining grass and redo the backyard work. At that point, the amount we had agreed to pay M&R no longer felt reasonable because work I had originally accepted as completed now had to be paid for again and redone. When I raised that issue, M&R's response was that if we wanted them to return and redo the backyard, we would need to pay them again. I found that especially frustrating because this was not new work we were requesting; it was work related to the original backyard preparation that had not held up as expected. We also had concerns with some of the trimming. Our tree, small palm, and roses were trimmed more aggressively than we wanted. This reinforced for us how important it is to clearly discuss exactly what you want done before the work begins and to check the work throughout the project instead of waiting until everything is finished. Communication was one of the biggest challenges throughout the project. There were several schedule changes, late arrivals, a missed appointment without notice, and multiple occasions when I had to repeatedly follow up for updates. One of our shovels was also taken from the backyard during the work. It was eventually returned, but getting it back required additional follow-up even after we explained that we needed it for the backyard work. My advice to anyone considering hiring this company would be to put the exact scope of work in writing, discuss specifically how you want trees, palms, roses, and other plants trimmed before anyone begins cutting, inspect the work frequently while it is being performed, keep communication very clear, and make sure you are satisfied with each part of the job before making substantial payments. To their credit, M&R did ultimately honor the partial refund amount we negotiated for the unfinished portion of the project, and I appreciate that they followed through on that agreement. However, after later discovering that the backyard work also needed to be redone, I do not feel the amount we ultimately paid represented good value for the work we actually received. Because of the changing price and schedule, communication problems, missed appointment, unfinished work, and the additional expense and effort required to have another company redo portions of the yard, I would not hire M&R Services again for a landscaping project.

Reply to "Owners" Remarks... To clarify the facts, your…read moreresponse misrepresents what actually happened. She knows the $80 consisted of the $40 I thought was a fair amount for the damage to the plant and stainless and the accidental $40 I sent you through Zelle. I did not decline your offer regarding the plant, and I have not harassed you; I have only asked for what is rightfully mine. Don't lie about what happened. Regarding the additional $40, I accidentally sent it to you when I intended to request the money from you through Zelle. When I subsequently sent you a request for that $40, you declined the request twice. It is therefore inaccurate to suggest that I declined to receive my money. You acknowledged that the $40 was owed and stated that you would return it by the end of the day. Despite giving you time to follow through, I still have not received my refund. My attitude changed because you would not repay me. I am disappointed that, rather than simply resolving this matter, I now have to correct inaccurate statements about my actions. I am asking only for the $40 I accidentally sent you and an honest account of what occurred. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! The owner, Shirley has not returned the $40 I accidentally overpaid, despite acknowledging the mistake and promising to refund me. She stated that she had no intention of keeping money that did not belong to her, but the refund still has not been issued. She has sent lengthy text messages explaining how busy she is and saying she would process the refund after completing her work appointments for the day, but the promised refund has not materialized. I contacted the authorities about the matter, and they reached out to her, but she did not respond. My experience with this house cleaning service has been extremely disappointing. Before hiring the owner, I told her that I was reluctant to hire another house cleaner because a previous cleaner had damaged items in my home without telling me. She assured me that her crews were vetted and very professional. Unfortunately, a similar situation happened again. During the cleaning, my plants were damaged and my stainless steel surfaces were scratched, despite the use of microfiber cloths. The owner initially offered to reimburse me for the damaged plant but later changed her position. In addition, I am still waiting for the return of the $40 I accidentally overpaid. What has been most frustrating is how these issues have been handled. This is about more than $40. It is about accountability, following through on commitments, and treating customers fairly. When belongings are damaged, an offer of compensation is withdrawn, and an acknowledged overpayment remains unreturned, it understandably undermines a customer's trust. Unfortunately, based on my experience and the way these matters have been handled, I cannot recommend this cleaning service. Good customer service is demonstrated through actions, accountability, and follow-through--not lengthy explanations.

It began with a last-minute cancellation, followed by a late arrival with no apology on the rescheduled day. During the service, she accidentally broke our kitchen window shades and did not apologize or address the damage. After a quick inspection, it revealed that the master bathroom cabinets were neglected, and multiple windows and sliding doors were completely skipped. When confronted, she claimed the remaining dirt was "water stains" not covered by the scope of work, which was inaccurate as the dirt wiped away instantly. Fortunately, her partner saving the day. He did a phenomenal job on the carpets, removed tough stains, and graciously finished cleaning the exterior windows that Susana missed. If you use this company, hire them exclusively for carpets, and avoid their house cleaning services. The only reason she gets a 2 star is because of her partner.
