I was skeptical but had been trying to get my husband to go here for awhile now, we made a reservation for my birthday and it was incredible! We stayed in a vogue room. The room was spacious and very clean! The staff was friendly and professional. Everything was nice down to the lighting! The shower, the bath tub, the tantra chair, the mirror on the ceiling! Where do i begin... honestly i know this review will not stop people from going to this establishment but i need to inform people of my how my 2/15/2018 night ended. First of all i live in the western suburbs an could have stayed anywhere else. But wanted to stay at The Aura due to the Jacuzzi bein extremely hot An we needed to CHILL. I've never stayed in any other of the suites they offer only The Luxe Room 130 was the room we stayed in. Our reservation was for 10:30 an we checked in around 11pm fine whatever. We checked in An went to grab food An came back. Entered the room changed clothes to relax an eat an watch tv. Here's the first issue. So all the TVs in the room (3) had issues kept goin in an out so i contacted the front desk spoke with THERESA she told me It wasn't they issue An to deal with It or she could give me a full refund an we could leave. That wasn't happening we weren't leaving. But she could have accommodated with anything a bottle a credit, anything but she didn't. I did t feel like goin there i just wanted to cool out. So after we used the jacuzzi an watched the only thing that would play on the tv which was PORN. We decided to go upstairs an chill so we was on the bed laughing an Whatever an a ROACH crawls across the head board. That was It! I was DONE! So i contacted the front desk again i get THERESA at this point she goes to tell me she was only giving me $130 back because we had been there two hours. We paid $310 how was this even possible. I couldn't believe she was telling me She was only goin to give me $130. After all of the issues i was having. Like i was lying. I took pictures i have footage. An her behavior was unacceptable. Told me she was goin to have me thrown in jail due to me bein upset and wanting my money back so i could LEAVE. THEN TOLD ME I COULD NEVER RETURN. SOOOOO WHATTTT Y'all have ROACHES. THATS NASTY!!! I will inform everyone i know about THE AURA An i will contact BBB as well as leave reviews every where i can think of. I visited the Aura last night with my husband...I was very disappointed..First of all we reserved the room over the phone.. When we arrived we were told of a membership fee. No problem. We said it's for Mr. And Mrs. Neybert...They refused to allow this... stating that only my husband would be a member...not me... I would highly recommend this place. My Fiance' and I went to Aura for a night away and it was just what we needed. The staff was extremely nice and offered to help with anything we needed. The room was very clean and we will be back. I read many reviews before booking a room and had seen some people complain, but after coming here for myself I really dont understand why there was any negative reviews about Aura because our experience was very pleasant and we were treated very well. read more

If you want to have a romantic getaway but stay close at home, then this place is just for you. The place was extremely clean, that's my #1 thing about these kind of places. The rooms that they have you choose from are very nice and modern. Beds are spacious and comfortable (they even mirrors above your bed, how awesome is that). In the front office, they even have beverages, alcohol and romantic "things" for you to purchase to enjoy your stay even better. The have different romance packages for you and your partner to get, they even have stripper poles that they can setup in your room (I think I'll be getting that for my lady for our next visit). Well after staying at the Ambiance Suites in Franklin Park there really is NO comparison. My review on Ambiance Suites has been removed....Why I have no idea as it wasn't mean spirited or nasty. It was the truth. Fast forward 4 months after Ambiance and going to AURA this past weekend. We stayed in the Bliss room. It was clean, and comfy. There is a hot tub for 2, neon lights that you can change the color of, a fireplace, mini waterfall on the wall, and candle like candles on the wall behind the bed. The front desk wasn't very friendly and pushed paperwork. In fact they must of had people partying here because we were stuck signing a waiver indicating it would just be us in the room. Which it was. While you could probably throw a party here I wouldn't suggest it because you will be out the money and kicked out. There are security cameras everywhere and a safe parking lot. Located conveniently off Cicero Ave. We went to the original pancake house and had BBQ at a place off 159th. Awesome stay! read more

The Pros: As compared to Ambiance in Franklin Park, the curb appeal is much better, and the parking lot is more secure. My boyfriend & I stayed in the Luxe suite, which is their largest, nicest room. We were immediately impressed with the style of the room and cleanliness, fired up a movie on the plasma screen tv, and jumped right in the hot tub. The bed was comfortable. There were not price tags on items as there are at Ambiance. The Cons: The hot tub was too hot to stay in for more than 10 minutes at a time, even after we turned the temp down (the temp never actually decreased). Even though we requested a DVD Player, there wasn't one in the room (The front desk actually called us an hour after we checked in, asking if we still wanted one; we brought our own just in case, so we didn't have one delivered). Since we were staying on a Sunday night, we called it a night pretty early, at 11PM. At 11:30, we feel/hear this very loud banging sound. I called the front desk after the 6th time it happened and he went over to check it out. He knocks on my door to tell me that it's the maid staff cleaning the room under ours, and that the door is frozen so they have to slam it shut. The slamming continued another 15-20 times over the next hour, along with vacuuming and general talking. Shortly after that, our neighbors checked in and had their TV/Music on blast until about 4AM. Someone kept knocking on our door all night, and shaking our door handle. After a solid 3 hours of sleep, we decided to check out 5 hours before we had to, because we were so tired and uncomfortable. The front desk staff seemed apologetic for our issues, and said they would make a note on our account for our next stay. However, we will not be staying at Aura or Ambiance again. Some tips for Aura staff/ownership: Program volume restrictions on the TVs in the rooms; Have maid staff only cleaning during day time hours; Put cameras near the doors and have the front desk monitor entry and exit from the rooms (this would prevent people from having parties -which i suspect our neighbors were- and people trying to get into rooms that aren't their's); Supply ear plugs for all guests. read more

I wish I could give this place no stars. Its a shame and I never even got to stay but my Birthday is Friday and my husband wanted to try something different so he attempted to make reservations. This is where it all falls apart the woman that answered was very nice until she heard my husband was Afican American after he told her what we wanted mind you she was on speaker so I heard the whole conversation she typed in something came back on the line and said it was no availability i went on their website and made reservations for the exact day but she said it wasn't available ok he asks about the 6 hr for the same room which was the Luxe I couldn't believe she said well u know that room is expensive so what did she assume we couldn't pay due to the sound of our voice because its not like she had taken a credit card number or anything and it declined i was livid my husband the more level headed of us two told me calm down and not to get ignorant because we were being treated in an ignorant manner so he made reservation gave cc info it goes through of course abd she also said you know you have to put a deposit duhhh its not our first hotel stay anyway reservation is made my husband hangs up. I seriously just couldn't give this place my hard earned money so I spoke to my husband explained how i felt he cancelled. I called our regular birthday anniversary whatever favorite the Sybaris I got the Chalet suite with complimentary champagne because of my birthday staff were excellent his demeanor didn't change upon hearing my voice so I have a way better room of course it costs more but hey Its MY BIRTHDAY and we can so Aura owners due to your unintelligent staff you lost a customer and we're very good clients we getaway once or twice a month but I don't think I can try this place again the pictures are awesome though. I give an honest opinion website was very inviting but customer service is horrible. My sister was going to spend her anniversary here as well as my cousin her three day getaway was going to be at Aura but after me telling them how i was treated they decided to go elsewhere as well. We don't have to patronize your business and word of mouth is very powerful. Your representatives need a refresher course in customer service. read more

My husband and I decided to check this spot out for our anniversary. A part of me feels like the pictures are a rather accurate representation and another part of me feels like the pictures are too perfect. I love the privacy and sense of exclusiveness. The reservation process was smooth, and the reception desk staff was friendly, but parking spaces were limited on our side of the building. The room was spacious with modern decor. Given the dirt and mold in places most wouldn't check, it made me wonder about the cleanliness of the room overall, so thank goodness we had our own disinfecting wipes. Several light bulbs were completely out or near being out so the room was dark. One of the remotes didn't work, but we had 3 televisions so no big. The bed was comfortable, and the hot tub was relaxing. Overall, I'm satisfied but the rates for an overnight stay in the same room are on the high side compared to similar businesses in and out of Illinois. read more

I have no idea how this place is, because they REFUSE to respond via their website or on the phone. Filled out the form to become a member on their site, and no response. Filled out the form to reserve a room on their site, and no response. I do know that their email is working because they mailed me a brochure. So then after a week and a half of no response I attempted to call them on the phone. I was instantly put on hold and after exactly 10 minutes and 13 seconds I had enough and hung up. I've stayed at Ambiance Suites before (a little over a year ago) and enjoyed it. Was wanting to come back then we found out they built a new one called Aura so for our anniversary we tried to make reservations and was told we couldn't because we are 100 miles away and you have to live within 40 miles to stay/become a member even though I was already a member before. Obviously they don't want more business so I would recommend to everyone DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS stay at Sybaris. read more

I visited AURA on 10/11/2013. I purchased the TRYST room from 5pm to 9pm. Once settled, I called the front desk twice for some ice. After waiting about 30 minutes, the ice finally arrived. I still tipped the woman $2 for delivering the ice. At about 7pm, I received a call from the front desk stating it was time to check out. I explained to the woman that I purchased the room till 9pm. She apologized and stated she thought she was calling the room next to mine. Despite being rudely interrupted, I resumed my stay. About 45 minutes after leaving the room, I realized I left my cellphone charger in the wall outlet. I immediately called the front desk for her or the person cleaning the room to get the phone charger, and hold it for me till the morning. I was placed on hold. The woman returned to the phone, and stated it was not there. I stated that it has to be there. I just unplugged my phone from the charger, and forgot to unplug the charger from the wall outlet, and take it with me. Again, I was placed on hold, and told that the woman cleaning the room doesn't see it. I find it hard to believe that the only person who entered the room within 45 minutes of my departure didn't see the phone charger still in the wall outlet while cleaning the room. I am pissed that someone representing this establishment would stoop that low to steal a phone charger. I don't plan to ever visit the AURA again. I would advise anyone who decides to stay there to double and triple check your room because if you forget anything of value, you will not see it again. read more

I highly recommend NOT to consider this place if you are looking for privacy. It was my wife and I's anniversary about a week ago and we wanted to get a nice quiet night away since it never happens with kids. We were there for 15 minutes on a Monday night and we could hear every conversation and noise coming from the rooms next to us. We went back to the front desk and asked if we could pay for an upgraded room where we could have some privacy. Staff was very rude and told us no and would not accommodate our concerns. We then asked if we can just have a refund and the girl said yes, but refused to give us the $20 membership money back. I normally walk away from arguments, but I had to argue with the lady and tell her that I have been here for 15 minutes and had the worst experience possible. I will NEVER come back so I was not about to pay for their membership. Lets just say we finally got the full refund, but ended our anniversary back at our house with the kids. Be smart and pay the little extra and go to the Sybaris. We had our best experience at the Sybaris a few years ago and will go there the next time we go away for the night. read more

for my husband birthday, I surprised him with a stay here , Had a Blast , Stayed in the Lux at the Midlothian location . I must say ... it was very sexy, sultry , the service people were very prompt when requesting drinks , novelties. definitely will go back and try other suits, although it's going to be hard to top the Lux! only suggestion, is I wish there was a body mirror, the mirror in the bathroom was very small and had to stand on my tippy toe. just to put on my make up. (I am only 5'4) other then that..... I definitely would recommend this place to anyone :) read more
