Stayed in Stairway to Heaven. Cabin met the needs of this trip space wise. Could use a good deep cleaning. Light fixture over the stove was caked with oil and lil nats. Bulbs were burnt out stairway to game room, I robbed the lamp in living area for a bulb. The shower had bugs and gunk yes gunk on outside of the shower doors. The porch needed a good sweep, dead bugs and cobwebs every where... 3 of the 6 beds need new mattresses. A million dollar home and the price I paid does not add up to what we got. BEARS... Momma bear and 3 cubs came to visit DAILY. While it was a good experience to see them they were not afraid what-so-ever. People in the past have fed them at this home and they came back for more. We did not feed them. A FED BEAR IS A DEAD BEAR!!!! DO NOT FEED THEM. A sign should have been placed for those who just don't know... smh The View was the very best part!!!!! We rented two cabins through Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals in Pigeon Forge and were very disappointed with the condition of both properties given the cost (about $2,500 total). Multiple issues suggested poor preparation and maintenance prior to arrival. In our cabin, we had unusable closet space due to stored items, a dryer missing a lint filter (a safety concern), poor lighting, broken window blinds, difficult-to-use TV/cable systems with no instructions, and doors that would not stay open without being propped. In the second cabin, there was also very limited usable storage space due to stored belongings, and the hot tub was not working on arrival (though it was later repaired after reporting it). While a few issues were addressed when reported, the overall condition showed a pattern of inadequate upkeep and lack of readiness. Guests should not have to spend their vacation identifying and requesting basic repairs. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations, and I would not recommend these rentals based on our stay. Aunt Bug's is refusing any compensation other than a coupon for a future stay. 131 morning view 9/12-16/2025 toilets barely flushed, I'm not a plumber but there was a red light flashing by what appeared to be the septic tank lid. I'm guessing this was an alarm meaning the tank was full. Place hadn't been dusted in months. Lots of established spider webs inside the cabin. No dishwasher detergent but dishes must be washed when you check out. Only one garbage bag for a 4 day stay. All the faucets leaked and the handle came off the upstairs bathroom. We stayed at Moonshine 1611, and I can confidently say I would never recommend Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals to anyone. I regret not trusting my instincts after reading the mixed reviews--lesson learned. This was a last-minute detour for our babymoon. We were in Florida and decided on a spontaneous two-day trip to Gatlinburg. I came across this cabin online, and based on the photos, it didn't look too bad, so I booked it. But from the moment I hit "confirm," I had a bad feeling. I started reading more reviews, and honestly, they were alarming--but nothing could have prepared us for what we actually experienced. We arrived around 10:30 PM on Friday, April 4, 2025, tired from the long drive with our small dog. At first glance, the cabin looked decent and relatively "clean." But things went downhill fast. I went to take a shower, and while the shower itself didn't seem dirty, I noticed BUGS in the sink. We were exhausted, so we tried to settle in for the night. That's when I pulled back the comforter and saw the sheets--they were filthy. It looked like they hadn't been washed at all. Disgusted, we decided to sleep on top of the covers instead. A few hours later, while my husband was asleep, I started hearing noises. At first, I thought it was coming from outside. But the sounds got closer and clearer--until I heard something messing with my dog's food bowl. I turned on a flashlight and woke my husband. That's when we saw it: a huge rat (or possibly a giant mouse) coming out from under the couch and heading toward the dog bowl. I was in complete shock. I immediately called the after-hours number--they were zero help. I called multiple times, and each time I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. The only response I got was a vague text saying they were "trying to reach management." By 12:30 AM, we had no choice but to pack up and find a hotel for the night. The next morning, I called and spoke to a man named Steven. I explained the situation, and he actually said, "There are no rats in Tennessee." I was stunned. I told him, "Look, I don't care if it was a rat, mouse, or some other giant rodent--it shouldn't be inside a cabin I paid over $600 for." Eventually, he called me back to say they would issue a refund. But then he added, "It's normal to have a mouse or rat in a cabin--just like how it's normal to have scorpions in places where they're native." That comment nearly sent me over the edge. To sum it up: this place had bugs, dirty sheets, and rodents. It was completely unacceptable. Aunt Bug's ruined the last part of our trip, and I will never book through them again. This was the nastiest cabin I've ever stayed in. There was mouse droppings in the pots and pans, hot tub was disgusting and slimy, broken toilet, dishwasher smelled like fish, pictures misleading because items in pictures were not at the cabin. We ended up eating out the whole time because the dishes were disgusting. We sent pictures to customer service and they informed us they would come clean the cabin, returned and nothing was cleaned. The linens were stained and bed was dirty, I contacted them again and was told they can send another cleaning crew out to clean the cabin and I said no because you had the chance when I called you the first time. read more

We were told that we would get all the info about our cabin on the day of check in. Our check in time was 4 pm and they wouldn't give us any info until that time! I have rented many places and have never been put off like this! Also, there should have been a notebook with all the info about the cabin and how to use tv, fireplace, etc. Had to play around with the tv for at least 30 minutes to figure it out! Fireplaces were supposed to be working but were t checked out so we had to contact aunt bugs to send someone out to trouble shoot the fireplaces. They did come out and fix them! Also, I wish we had known how far out of town our cabin was located! Very difficult to get there and lost directions on our google map many times while driving there. We had the same type of experience several years ago with Aung Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals, LLC. They are not hiding their name because there were a ton of "bugs" alive and dead in the cabin when we checked in...! Pictures looked nice but almost nothing was the same when we arrived. It was beyond nasty! Most of the kitchen appliances were so old and outdated they didn't work. Live naked wires were exposed in the kitchen from a broken electrical cover missing. The temp in the fridge would not go below 55 degrees so we lost all our food we had bought for a week. The beds were horrible, and all sheets were missed matched. The carpet in the bedroom was so old it had rolls throughout. We called as soon as we checked in around 4pm and were told someone would call us back in a few minutes, that never happened. I called again the next morning and was told the same thing. I waited until lunch and still nothing so I started calling every 30 minutes until I was told someone would come out and look at all the problems but never did. We asked for compensation for all the issues, and they refused. We left and they still refused to do anything about it, so I contacted my credit card company and provided all the info and pics, and they suggested I dispute the charge. I did, they fought it but they lost, and I was refunded the full amount. The only REAL way to know about things like this is to read their revies because they do not lie! read more

I have never stayed with this company however they did steal some of MY photos and try to use them as their own. When I went in the employees would not let me speak to a supervisor as I requested and was pretty snotty asking me what I was suggesting they do? When I told them either take down my photos or pay me for them they opted to take them down and then replace them with a previous companies photos instead of taking their own!!! The cabin was nice, could use some updating. They would not disclose the address until the day of arrival when the cabin was ready--not sure why when you're traveling you need to know where you are going. I would not recommend to anyone bringing children as the balcony hand railings were all rotted and completely separated from the posts, anyone leaning against would easily fall off. The stairs were also sagging and a safety hazard. The deck holding the hot tub seemed to be in need of repair as the hot tub moved/bounced around. There is no yard, a very steep driveway and the cabin with woods all around. Garbage all over the back woods below the decks. I would never go back. read more

Emerald Lights Cabin #203 Gatlinburg To begin, photos on website are old and deceptive. The living room floor was completely destroyed with deep scratches. The main fireplace was very old and hard to get running, the pool table dirty but that was the least of anything. There was a major plumbing leak in the upstairs bathroom that dripped and wet into the downstairs kitchen every time we bathed. The cabin was not ready at 4pm check in and I am sure they gave it to us without cleaning the downstairs floor. It was filthy (see pics). Both beds smelled like the comforters and pillow cases had never been washed. My grand daughter got bitten by bed bugs or an allergic reaction to filthy sheets the first night and my daughter in the other bed the next night. This ruined our vacation since they had to be medicated with Benadryl. Someone came the second day to address the fireplace. They were not able to get in because our 5 lb dog was downstairs not in a kennel. In their defense I'm sure they would have fixed the major pluming leak, washed all the bed sheets, checked for bed bugs and cleaned the whole downstairs floor while we were out. read more

Upon entering the cabin and looking around we noticed the fire place had electric logs in it. The description of the cabin said it had gas logs. We continued to look around. I went out on the deck to find a grill that would barely work. The pictures on the website depicted a nice grill, a gas fireplace and a refrigerator with handles. I called to complain about the condition and the misleading advertising. They said they would be in touch. I have not heard anything from them yet. One more thing the internet service is terrible. Mice poison was left out thankfully I found it before the toddler. There was mice poop in draws. There was roach infestation in the kitchen. We couldn't leave any thing out do to infestation of ants. We stayed at Rippling Waters cabin in Cosby, TN. Upon arrival, we realized it was a two family cabin, which exceeded our expectations. The front of the cabin had some lattice kicked out and seemed to be the temporary home of a bear at some point. Very clean inside, two kitchens, two spacious bedrooms and living rooms, equipped with two fireplaces. Nice big back porch with clean jacuzzi hot tub, lots of chairs, a swing, table and grill, all overlooking a stunning creek. Very quiet with a beautiful view. Peaceful, safe area. Our propane tank was empty, and we had to wait until the following day to get a full tank, which unfortunately forced us to change our dinner plans, but that wasn't a big deal. Beds were comfy, master shower was enormous. Well equipped with all we needed to cook and wash clothes. We provided our own clothes detergent. We were very satisfied with our stay. It was located in a good area, not too far from all the sightseeing we were there for. We had a wonderful stay and recommend this particular cabin to everyone. Back porch was covered in leaves, but we were here the last week of October, which is to be expected at this time of year. A quick sweep and it was all clean. read more

Had to only give one stars because they don't have zero we stayed in the cabin called pool me once for a week July 4 weekend there was 75 to 100 ants in the bathroom and throughout the house called up. They sent the over with ass toilet and says you're good to go well guess what next day 75 more came out we sat out front on the rocking to enjoy the view. It fell hit the floor. to wash dishes and 50 gallons of water came the bottom they said the repair man over who said it was the seal, but there was no water inside of the dishwasher. It was coming out from underneath know what the hell he was doing so upon leaving, I asked if I could have some not all not a specific amount of my money back I was told every item was addressed properly. This is our review of Aunt Bug's' Angler's Perch cabin in Gatlinburg. Posting here since there is no way to add actual reviews to their overall site. We emailed this feedback to Aunt Bug's, and received no response at all. The chalet really needed some maintenance and updating. The couch is only usable if one person sits on the end. The other end is completely caved in. The lights above the kitchen table don't work. The big vent grid outside of the kitchen popped off when we turned the heat on and will not stay in the wall. The first floor bedroom really needs a new mattress. It completely sinks in regardless if one or two persons are on the bed. It's almost like a waterbed. The bedside lamp switch is broken also and we had to unscrew the bulb to turn it off. The carpeting going up the stairs is pulled out in some places which could be a hazard catching on the heels of shoes. Upstairs we moved the ottoman to one side to make more room and the leg fell off. The other 3 legs are loose on it also. One of the outside plastic chairs has an armrest which keeps falling off. The cable TV / Rokus were also nearly impossible to use (the Input switches didn't work and there were no instructions for how to use the system). Wow-totally disappointing. Rip off. Fireplace didn't work, hot tub does not work and the guest book shows it hasn't and they didn't fix it. Dirty dirty dirty-magazines stuck to table, sheets and towels are very old and gross. Cobwebs, dust, furniture is old and sticky. No remote for tv downstairs, pool table has no chalk to play- can't do anything downstairs since hot tub does not work. Ive stayed in dozens of places- this was horrible. Over $300 a night and only 1 roll of TP per bathroom with NO extra! I highly recommend NOT booking with aunt bugs. They do not care about their properties. No instructions on anything. We will NEVER use this company again!!! We were ROBBED by this company for almost $2000 dollars for a cabin I wouldn't have spent $100 to stay in for a month, let alone a week! The cabin we got was falsely advertised on their web site as the attached pictures will prove. Honestly, everyone who has been robbed by this company should file a class action lawsuit against them to get our money back and have them shut down permanently. We arrived on June 4, 2023 for a stay to last thru June 10, 2023 and was shocked to see that the drive way was collapsed on the left hand side and a sign post on the right hand side that wouldn't allow our vehicle enough room to go around the collapse. Luckily, we had rented an SUV that had 4-wheel drive and we were able to get into the driveway. After we got up to the cabin, it was clear that the outside had not been taken care of. There were spider webs all over the screens covering the windows and inside an enclosed deck. After entering the cabin, we immediately noticed that the furniture was not the same as what was advertised on their web site. The furniture looked like it was straight up out of 1962 and was stained. We had thought ahead to bring our on food with us to cut down on expenditures and was shocked to find absolutely no free cupboard space at all. Every cabinet was full of dishes so we ended up having to use the dining room table to store what we brought. It only get worse from here.... My granddaughter went into her room to open up the window and look at the mountain view and was shocked to find the window boarded up as the picture shows. The picture shown on their web site shows the curtain closed for this window, that should have been a red flag right then. The master bath room had a tub with a rusted out drain and leaking faucets as the attached picture shows, and the water itself tasted like rust. Good thing we brought enough bottled water with us because I wasn't about to let my family drink that crap. The room housing the pool table was so small there was not enough room between the walls and the table to be able to use a pool stick. The photos from their web site make it look like the room is huge. The enclosed deck was covered in leaves and spider webs on the screens and the furniture had torn and dirty seat cushions. This cabin was advertised as being semi-private, but there were half-dozen other cabins around it that were so close we could hear the conversations of the people in them. There was a firepit advertised with easy access that was supposedly by a creek. What we actually got was a firepit sitting by a ditch that had no running water, was 30 feet from the back yard of the cabin next door, and getting to it was down a steep set of stairs and then 20 feet down an embankment that was impossible to walk on. The picture attached shows the firepit as advertised, but the cabin seen is actually the cabin next door. My grandchildren wanted to get in the hot tub, so they removed the cover and found the water slimy and nasty. There were no chlorine nor bromine floaters to be found. The basket that's supposed to hold the chemicals was missing. We went to call the office from the phone in the cabin and it was completely dead; no dial tone and no cell service available. So I drove down the mountain to the office to voice complaints about the conditions and was told a maintenance man would be sent out to drain the tub, clean it, add chemicals, and address the spider web issues. By the time I got back to the cabin, less than 30 min, the maintenance man had already been there and left. The only thing he did was toss in a couple of chlorine tablets and a bromine floater and took off without looking at anything else. I immediately went back to the office and told them what had happened and was assured that a crew would be sent by lunch time the next day to address the issues. They never showed up. I again went back to the office and told them nobody ever showed up and asked to be placed in another cabin. I was told that nothing was available, but they assured me someone would be up soon to address the issues. When no one ever came, we looked for a hotel and couldn't find anything so decided to try and make the best of it. On day 6 of this fiasco, I went to take a shower and when I opened the faucet in the master bath tub, the water was brown and looked like it had dirt in it. After letting the water run for 10 min or so, the water appeared to have cleared up so I got in. When I got out and dried off, the towel I was using was BROWN! We went to the office to check out and I spoke with the manager about the conditions and lack of response from the company. I requested a refund and was informed that they don't normally give refunds, but would check with upper management and the cabin owner and get back to me; however, a free nights stay on our next visit was offered and he was told to keep it. So whether there is a tornado destroying your cabin, no heat/ac, deplorable conditions, you cannot drive up the driveway to access your cabin or a leaking roof by NO MEANS will you get your money back, you will forgo all your hard earned money towards a cabin you will not be staying in! They CLAIM to be family owned business but, to say and to show are two different things! Below this post I will explain the situation that happened to myself and family and ill be sharing a few of the many reviews left by others who also had to not only lose their money to this company but had their family vacations ruined as well. We were not thinking of what could happen, or the repercussions of not reading a contract (since this was our very first vacation and on Aunt Bug's site we saw Family owned business and all these five star perfect pictures of cabins out of a magazine! We found a great cabin for us, fits up to 6 people and we had 5! We picked the 3 days Friday, April 14 - Sunday, April 16 we were to leave that Monday and head home after our stay. We had a almost 9 hour drive there from Illinois. They would not send us the address until after 4PM which was very nerve wracking. We made it about 5:30PM and with traffic getting to the road our cabin was on took an extra hour because their was a car show going on. It was raining, no down pour but enough to notice the driveway to our cabin (almost at an 80 degree angle) had a steady flow of water. We began to drive up (we have a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander no 4 wheel drive) we instantly slid down at the half way point. We were in shock, all tired and sore from the 9 hour drive but so excited to finally get to the place we dreamed of! At this point we slowly backed down and gave it another shot and as soon as we were to the half way point we slid down once more. At this point the kids were getting worried and were squeezing on our head rests for support. I did this 3 to 4 more times and each time I would not get any closer to the top and each time my kids were getting more fearful. All three girls started to cry as soon as my husband tried to attempt to go up and failed, at this point we could not try any more seeing that it was terrifying out children and all three were in tears begging us to just get a hotel. We called Aunt Bug's and let them know the situation (which I found out they already have had this happen with numerous customers but did nothing) and they told us they had a cabin for us that was not on a "hill". After all we had gone through and seeing other vehicles in the same situation and slipping down I figured we were going to get a cabin just like what we paid for and we will still make the best of it! Oh how I was wrong!, we drove 15 minutes out of town to a small cabin with no view and walked in...instantly we were hit with a dog like smell. We set our bags down and looked around... Cereal all over the living room floor, along with thick dog hair in the carpets, no garbage bags in kitchen garbage, no amenities at all. A bunch of stacks of laundry and dirty laundry in bags. We walked into the bedrooms beds were stripped yellow stains showed through (red sticky substance on the bed rails), no sheets in closets, none anywhere to be found. After we went to the bathrooms and since we had a long ride everyone had to use the bathroom and no toilet paper to be found anywhere, just dust, debris on the floor and the overwhelming smell of wet dog. We were in disbelief they gave us a cabin that a family just left and they did not clean or offer to clean. We spent more than a thousand dollars and we had nothing to use to go to the restroom or sleep! We had no reception until we walked out to the road and when we finally did it was turning dark and we called within 20 minutes after we arrived at this cabin THEY WERE CLOSED! No phone call making sure we arrived, we refused to stay at a location so dirty and smelled so badly. We tried to find a hotel near our cabin but because of the events going on in Pigeon Forge there were NO VACANCY at any of the hotels for miles. We've been using aunt bugs for YEARS!! Last year we arrived to a washer full of wet towels and a half cleaned cabin. We figured that everyone makes a mistake. This year they made us realize it's not a mistake. It's poor management. We drove 10 hours from Pennsylvania to get to our cabin only to find the fireplace on and blazing. Mind you the temperature that day was 86 degrees. Why would the fireplace be on? Ok no problem we'll turn it off. Well doesn't turn off. We call the after hours line and it's answered by a service you basically told us tough crap, you'll have to wait until Monday. Let me tell you what I wasnt going to , wait until Monday with a blazing fireplace. It's still summer time and temperature in the house was 95 degrees. After 2 more phone calls we basically told the service that it's fine we will cut the wires and turn it off ourselves. Well that inspired them to get us help. The sent a very nice man who lived 2 cabins away who was able to disconnect it. He did mention in passing he knew the person who left it on and it was typical of them. Ok crisis adverted. Until the next morning when we woke up to a huge puddle in the middle of the floor. Ok so now we know why the fireplace was on to dry out the cabin. We later found a huge tarp on the roof. The following day we stopped in to talk to them and let them know what happened. We were told there was nothing on file about roof damage and the manager was out to lunch and would call us back. Well we never got a call. We waited another day and went back in again where we were told the roof damage was reported in August. It's now a month later. We were also told a manager would call us back. Finally they did and the only thing they offers us was a voucher for a free night that could only be used during some ridiculous off time. Since we weren't complaining to get anything in return only to save the next person the hassle we went through we declined. We will definitely not be booking through here again. Stayed at Bears Valley #171- The cabin was clean and neat. Thats about it. The beds were so hard and tall. You'd better be over six feet tall to crawl in. The floor would have been more comfortable. Very small place, two people could not stand in the bathroom together. Forget about trying to put any toiletries on the vanity. Constant road noise, we were there the week after Christmas when the traffic was light! I especially liked the garbage truck banging the dumpster at the gas station across the street repeatedly at 1:30 AM. Pictures are deceiving, the game room is in a separate building than the cabin. We had booked in four nights but could only stay one. Naturally we were told there was no refund. We moved to Margaritaville in Pigeon Forge. For the same price we had a great room over the creek with a fridge, microwave and fireplace. read more

We rented bearway to Heaven cabin. Very old. Needs alot of repairs. Screens are hanging by a thread. Rugs are old & dirty. Walls need painting. Bed comforter had a cigarette burn hole in it. Comforters are old. Bath towels are raggedy & ripped. Thresh old for front door is broken. Needs new front door. Directions given to us on how to get to cabin were useless! read more

Stay away from AUNT BUGS RENTALS- It was a Filthy Cabin. Horrible experience. Black mold everywhere, spiders everywhere, rust and dried food on the pots and pans. Dog Poop all over the yard. Called Aunt Bugs office and all they can say is "Sorry you're having a bad exerience". The deferred maintence on this cabin was years overdue. The pictures in the ad was from years ago when it was first built. I had to go to the store upon arrival and get cleaning supplies and new bedding because it was so bad. I drove 14 figgin hours to get there and had no choice but to clean it up myself because I trust what they told me when I rented it. It was called "Heavenly Creekside". The address of the cabin is - 3576 MOUNTAIN CREEK WAY, COSBY, TN, 37722. It was filthy in every way! I asked if they have a system in place to verify the cleaniness after each tenant and they of course said yes. They are liars, liars liars! absolutely terrible place would never recommend to anyone we get there to check in for our vacation they tell us our rental has been cancelled which it was not on our end of things. they reinstate our stay put us in the wrong cabin we paid for so we call to let them know and they finally switch us to the right cabin that the TV's don't work in and there was no Wi-Fi (which our kids needed for homework) then 4 days into our stay they call to tell us we have to either switch cabins or leave to go home because they cabin that we rented wasn't suppose to be rented out due to safety issue per the fire marshall so we switch cabins so we don't have to cut out vacation short come the end of the week we leave and realize we left 2 brand new bogg bags in the cabin we can and ask if there is a way to have them shipped and they yes of course IF the bags are found by the cleaning staff it took them 10 days to get back ahold of us to say we are sorry there was nothing left behind!!! absolute joke in my book read more

Cabin - Smoky Pleasures #3737- - Smoke detector going off when we arrived. We had to go get batteries to stop the alarm ( 8:00 pm ). - Missing a living room remote. Dead batteries in most remotes. - Sink in Level 1 bathroom would not drain- broken. - Hot tub half full of water - At midnight, the alarm on the wall had a red screen stating an alarm with the hallway smoke detector - 3 fireplaces do not heat We called the number listed in the instructions about the above items. They told us there was nothing that they- could do until the next day. They brought another remote and batteries, fixed sink and alarm. - Insulation falling out from under house in front. - TV in living room, level 2 and level 3 bedrooms cut on and off by themselves. The TV in the loft does not work. The TV on the deck by the hot tub does not work. - The door plate going out to the second level deck is missing a screw- door hard to open. We try to fix but did not have a screwdriver. - The light on second level deck is so dim you cannot see anything at night.- The 3 rockers on the deck are so weather worn, they are dry and splintered. - No patio furniture or chairs on level 1 deck - No broom, No mop, No pot holders - The refrigerator will not open all the way. It is hard to get into. -- One of the kitchen table chairs is broken underneath. - The thermostat on level 2 controls the air for level 1. If you get a comfortable temperature on level 1, it is about 15 degrees hotter on level 1. - The water jets in the shower in the bathroom on level 1 won't run off. - The toilet in the bathroom on level 1 is not sealed to the floor - it moves. - The window sills have water damage - The shades in all the rooms are deteriorating and have water damage. - The baseboards all look dark and sl green - The 2 sofas (sofa beds) are sinking in. You cannot sit on them comfortably. - Air comes in under the door on level 1. I had to lay a towel there to keep cold air out. - One of the pool sticks has a broken tip. - There are spider webs everywhere- all levels - all windows. I had to clean the window by the second set of bunks. -Because of all the spider webs. Then I moved the beds perpendicular away from the window. - One set of bunk beds have ¼ inch plywood for support- the bottom bed is missing a bed slat/pole. This is very dangerous. Someone could fall through and get hurt. I sat on it and quickly got off of it when it started to sink. - Air hockey table on level 3 does not work - it doesn't blow enough air to move pucks. - I believe there is black mold on the third level deck and under roofing, and maybe some on the second deck. - There are yellow jackets flying around second and third decks. - There is rotted wood on the second deck. My son was looking over the rail when it moved. Then chunks of wood fell off. - It is rotted. If you press on some of the other wood, they appear soft and rotted as well. He could have fallen off that deck - The neighbors below us had 8 cars and were loud. When they first got there, we smelled pot from the deck. - The instructions state to place your garbage in the garbage receptacles and when they are full, housekeeping will come and Empty them. There are NO garbage receptacles. You have to load your garbage in your car and drive it to the office dumpster. The dumpster has a broken door that has to be opened with a screwdriver. - This cabin is listed as a three bedroom cabin - it is NOT. It only has 2 bedrooms. We did know this initially and still booked. This is false advertising. The cabin in front of this cabin to the left has the same layout and is listed as a 2 bedroom cabin. - One compact washer/dryer for 16 people ??????????? My son slept on one of the queen beds in the loft. He said every little noise in the living and kitchen woke him up. There is a window over the queen beds with no shades. You can hear every footstep when you are in level 1 The bunkbed that I slept on must have had a queen bedspread on it because it was hanging off on one side and the floor by the dirty window. - There is a sofa and a chair in the living room for a 16 person cabin. There are 8 kitchen chairs- one broken. same. We had to bring in the rockers from the deck for seating. My mother is 83 and my daughter is pregnant and cannot sit in the "sunken" sofa and chair. - We took the 2 rockers to level 1 to watch TV during a ball game because it was the only TV working correctly. - There was a piece of plastic left on floor. My son stepped on this and hurt his foot. 3 fireplaces do not heat, air intake filthy, hole in garbage can- not enough space to write everything. I sent a 3 page letter with approx- 30 pictures. I never received a response. I called today and was told that it would be turned over to housekeeping. I noticed that you can not write a review on their website. read more

paid $200 a night for this cabin for me and my boyfriend. We get here after emailing with someone asking for a bit of an earlier check in. she told me if i did the express check in they would email me when it was clean, and no one ever contacted me and told me it was clean, or gave me the code. I had to call to get the code when they were supposed to email it to me. He said "the cleaning lady must have forgotten to mark it as finished" red flag now, our fireplace doesnt work, we've messed with the knob and it just doesnt work. only 2 faucets work on the tub and the water comes out so slow it took 30 minutes to fill there are an insane amount of cobwebs in the bathroom as well. and the hot tub only has 2 jets that work. now we have to deal with maintenance coming while we're on a vacation. Now they're telling me that they can't make it less than $200 a night and it's not even worth it. Edit : maintenance came and left a note saying that the jets were working and that the tub taking so long to fill up was 'normal' .. really. I also have found 3 or 4 of these bugs. If I could give them a zero, I would have. A 1 is too generous. Entered the Cabin called Amazin View at 2038 MCCarther Dr., absolutely horrible. We were greeted with thousands, and I mean thousands, of Chinese beetles dead and alive inside the cabin! Called the main office, explained the situation and asked for a different cabin. I was told they could not do that until I allowed them to remedy the situation. They called for housekeeping who showed up an hr later while we were out at dinner. Came back to cabin to be greater by several hundred dead and alive bugs in the cabin. Had to buy a broom and dust pan to sweep them up from floors, windows, walls, etc. I have requested a full refund and have not received a response yet. read more

Would not recommend Aunt Bugs and especially would not recommend "Around The Bend #239". Would rate it a zero if I could. The place is very outdated and in no way resembles the description on Aunt Bugs web site. First off, after a long drive I was looking forward to a soak in the hot tub. The tub was only half full and 52°. Description did not mention that game room was around outside and down a flight of stairs with no lighting, very dangerous. In addition, there is a foosball table but there were no foosballs. The photos show an overhead projector in the basement game room but sound doesn't work. In addition there were only 3 chairs so a whole family couldn't sit anyways. Photos on website show a bunch of chairs. Two of the bedroom TVs didn't work. Doesn't matter because internet is so slow, it is continuously freezing anyways. They sent a guy around who got one of the bedroom TVs working but the other one is not even a smart TV. Guy said that Aunt Bugs would get back to us but they blew us off. For what we paid for this place we are HIGHLY" disappointed. The couch was filthy. Behind the couch was the air return covered with sticky dust. Opened it up only to find that the air filter was too small so useless. I'd hate to think how dirty the comforters are, yuck. They look 20 years old. They left us ONE garbage bag. Sorry, but not going out on Christmas Eve to buy garbage bags. There were no food storage containers or anything to store leftovers in. A very poorly stocked cabin. I will leave as many reviews as I can to warn people away from this outfit and "Around the Bend #239". Since making this mistake I have found many negative reviews on the internet. read more

Ridiculous place - Each year I take my sons and grands on a summer camping vacation. This year we wanted to try someplace new with lots of area attractions and amusements nearby. Aunt Bugs Cabin Rentals appeared to fill those requirements perfectly although much farther away from our NY home than usual. We rented for 6 days in July. Put the deposit of $1300 down and then paid the additional $1300 about 3 weeks prior to our stay. 1st the location and name of the cabin we'd paid to rent is kept a SECRET until after 3PM on the day of arrival - That makes zero sense and for the life of me I cannot come up with any logical explanation for it being a mystery. In addition, they required that we provide ANOTHER credit card to "pay for any incidentals" WHAT !! ?? To add frost to that annoying cake they required a picture of ME holding my ID. Were they trying to steal my identity for future use? Why? they said it was to "prove it was me using the cabin" Again, no logical reason as I could easily have paid for someone else's stay. They certainly knew it was ME when charging my credit card $2600. At approximately 3pm we were finally given the secret cabin number and name, 247 Secluded Bearadise, and location, 2475 East View Dr. Sevierville. With major help from our GPS we found it and were dumbfounded by how steep and very narrow the driveway was. Thank goodness we hadn't towed a small supplies trailer with us or we'd have been 100% SOL. We arrived in 2 full size vans and had to maneuver so we could back up the drive as backing down into that ultra narrow road would have been crazy hazardous. Unlike others experiences with these cabins the hot tub for ours was clean and functional. Floors were clean. The kitchen was well appointed with cooking utensils, a newer refrigerator and range, dishwasher and had we wanted or needed them, plates, tableware, toaster and even a crock pot. The kitchen area was reasonably clean. The downstairs bathroom with the shower seemed clean until you saw the disgusting shower curtain particularly the liner that was covered in black mold. We called management and they said they'd bring us another one but didn't show to do that so the next day we had to drive to the office to get one and hang it ourselves. The beds were comfortable but the bedding was sketchy and looked old, very worn out and questionably clean. Thankfully, we'd brought our own. The WORST thing we found was a considerable amount of dried dog feces on the carpet under and around the air hockey table in the "game room". Then we found that the carpet in the upper bedroom had what appeared to be rather major amount of dried liquid dog feces ground into that carpet at the end of the bed. UGH !!! Contacting management got the response that they'd "let maintenance know" No maintenance anything ever came. There was also a large burn mark in the carpet by the fireplace. We tried to use the outside gas grill although noted that it was placed against the outside, wood, wall of the cabin. Lit it and it was so filthy and laden with grease inside that the grease started on fire with lots of acrid smoke. Thankfully, we knew how to deal with it and with some effort extinguish the fire. When there you'll see a rather shocking amount of trash in the woods surround the cabin as well as the driveway and small parking area particularly after a rain. On a positive note, the air conditioning was excellent. We had a front porch visit from a thin, medium size black bear - Didn't mind that but were pleased we weren't in the hot tub at the time because the hot tub is on the side porch without any line of site to the front of the building. It was placid and calmly sauntered away after a simple Shoo! Last, the pump for the hot tub cycles all night, is not quiet and is located right next the the wall of the downstairs bedroom. So far so good. Only complaint is need some coat hooks, light in upstairs closet & curtains upstairs need washing. Was very clean upon arrival & even had up Christmas decorations. Have learned if you have kids, this isn't exactly then cabin of choice. The games are upstairs & if you are in the living room its pretty noisy. read more
