Tucked right by the lakeside, this playground was a pleasant surprise. The park was very clean and clearly well-maintained, with a wide variety of equipment to keep little ones busy. The kids especially loved the rock climbing wall and the swing-glider -- but there were plenty of other engaging activities for different age levels. From climbing structures to creative play areas, they had more than enough to explore. It was a great change of pace from sightseeing and a chance for the kids to just be kids. Highly recommend this spot if you're in Juneau with young ones and need a break from the usual tourist stops!

Due to the delayed arrival of out cruise boat, the Visitors Center was closed by the time we arrived but we were still able to make the most of our adventure. We took the 2 mile round trip path to see Nugget Falls. The path, though muddy was mostly flat. The base of the falls was sandy, but you can get fairly close the falls and the water. Not the best view of the glacier from here. On our return, we took the 0.3 mile path to Picture Point to better view the glacier. There were bathrooms available but once the sun sets, it gets dark quick. We waited at the share ride pick up spot for our Lyft to take us back. Uber is not available here

You can also view these falls from the Mendenhall Glacier visitor center, but we chose to do it by canoe cause it was going to be a more unique (and tiring) experience. With salmon jumping about, it only made sense to find some fishing gear and relax and go fishing. We drove up to the location to find it empty and were a little disheartened that maybe they were out doing an excursion themselves. We called and left a message and Paul called us back 2 mins later. Which was awesome. My husband came out of your shop looking like a kid ready to go on an adventure. Big smile and all. We drove up and down Juneau all the way up to Eagle creek and down to sheep creek to fish and did not leave disappointed. The hike is really not that difficult. Its a pretty short day hike of around 5 miles round trip and i believe to spot we went to with the group was around 800 feet of elevation gain. I found it to be a relatively easy trail but the people in my tour group were slow and many found it to be challenging. There are some chains to help you get up some of the uneven spots. Of course as with any hike be prepared, have water, snacks, good shoes. I would definitely come back here in the future but I would want to finish the hike all the way up to the top. Did not really see anyone else out on the trail other than our tour group. This was a weds morning.

Getting us immediately suited. Getting us separated in groups for the rafts. Issue: i understand the weight balance but my four year old was placed on the outside and it made for a nerve racking trip for me holding on to him for dear life! My issue- our tour guide. Nice and strong but I couldn't understand anything he was telling us because I was in the front and he has a very very thick accent. I feel like my oldest did not get the experience I hoped for because of the language barrier. Aka she didnt learn anything. Overall, it's beautiful and fun. But cold. We did get wet. Thank goodness for a balcony on my cruise, because that allowed me to sit back, sip a cup of hot tea, and enjoy the cinematic like experience passing before my eyes. I cruised through here at the very end of April so the ice was broken enough to allow the ship through. There were playful otters, an abundance of glaciers, and snow blanketed across the mountains. I could not have asked for more from this experience. OVERALL: Glacier Bay is an absolute must see for all! It is a truly powerful experience! I took so many photos, but could only upload a few.

Pure Beauty! This National Park is one you have to see. Might not be around (or at least be the…read moresame) in the not too distant future. The entrance is very limited to preserve the ecosystem. We chose a cruse that had this destination as part of its itinerary so we were sure to see it. (Holland America) The day we were there was not the best of weather, but it was still amazing. To see these glaciers up close was majestic. And by completely luck, I was videoing the Margerie Glacier with my phone when a large ice sheet crashed into the sea. So cool!!
