The location is very convenient, and the restaurant has a casual upscale feel-nice without being stuffy. Service was very attentive and friendly throughout our visit. The food was excellent, and I had a hard time deciding what to order. I went with the pepper chicken mascarpone - creamy, satisfying and flavorful. For my personal taste, it could have used a bit more heat, as I tend to prefer spicier dishes. I added some red pepper flakes to bring it up to the spice lever I enjoy. Everyone else ordered something different, from sandwiches and pizza to the short rid ravioli, and there wasn't a single disappointment at the table. They offer both half-size and full-sized portions of some of the entrees, which is a great option. Even so, the portions were very generous-just about all of us took leftovers home. Prices felt moderate for the area, and I left full and happy. There's also a good wine selection and full bar, making this one of the better options at Patriot Place. Definitely a place I'd return to.

And the Jalapeno peppers were really spicy... Little Fries: The fries were as generously portioned as ever; thick-cut fries with skin and deep-fried in peanut oil are hard to go wrong with. But they didn't seem freshly fried; they weren't exactly cold, but they weren't hot enough, and the aroma and crispiness were significantly reduced. Little Cajun Fries: With Cajun chili powder, they weren't too spicy, but the main problem was that they were too salty. Milkshake: With Oreo cookies and whipped cream, it was so delicious it brought tears to my eyes... The texture was so rich that I couldn't drink it through the straw; opening the lid and enjoying a big bite of sweetness was the ultimate bliss. Oreos are the absolute key to achieving a balance between taste and texture!

There are tables (self seating), sauces/condiments station, self serve fountain drinks, and flat screen TVs in the dining area. The gameday menu offers several appetizers, salads, BBQ smoked meats (pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, baby back ribs) sandwiches & platters, grilled cheese sandwich, and burgers. I ordered the Pulled Pork Platter ($17 plus tax) which includes choice of two sides and cornbread. The food was hot and ready at the pickup counter in under 5 minutes. The portion of food was generous with a big mound of tender smoked pulled pork, cheesy Mac & cheese, and a creamy potato salad with hard boiled egg pieces in the mix. The cornbread was crumbly and not too sweet. I dispensed some St. Louis and House BBQ sauces (sweet & smoky) and they also have a spicy BBQ sauce too. Overall, this is a good place to stop for BBQ before or after the game and concerts.

A local, I've eaten there three times and it's consistently good, with friendly staff. It's good for takeout or sitdown in a no-frills dining room. Patriot Place is a weird location - because of the football games and concerts that bring in lots of one-time eaters, restaurants there don't really have to try, and most just... don't try. So many food places sound good, with wonderful menus, but turn out to be deeply meh or outright inedible. It's been a nice change that Axel & Byrne is actually good food, every time. I really like their burnt ends platter, and the homemade vinegary Carolina sauce. I ended up stealing fries from my friend's plate and dipping them in the Carolina sauce, and mmmmmmm. So good.

It is the perfect place for a meal that is not formal, relatively fast and much healthier than fast food. The pizza was very good and there were a lot of choices. My friend chose the meat lovers and although I'm not a big meat eater, I did enjoy it. I will be going again and would like to try their sandwiches next time.

Located in the large Patriots Place complex, full of shopping and many restaurants, it can be a bit of a walk from the parking area. The exterior and interior are just as we remember. A hostess greeted us at the door and sat us immediately with menus. Menu is the same as last visit. Lots of Asian and Mexican influened dishes along with pizza. Menus are a hard cover, book style and the pages are showing their age. We got two half sheet pizzas. Each can easily feed four people. The mozzerella on the Margarita was rubbery this time around. That may happen because of hot 'pizza oven' temps or it could just be low quality. I reheated some left overs on low heat and the cheese did melt OK and had less of a rubbery texture. The crust is thick and crisp on the bottom. The tomato sauce is sweet. The second pizza was a buffalo chicken. It was plenty spicy, lots of cheese, nice drizzle. Not much chicken. All in all it was a tasty pizza. Restrooms are clean. Service good. Plenty of shared parking.
