We had some family from New York come down and we really wanted to showcase Columbia in a fun way. This was a winner!! First, I love that they've partnered with Historic Columbia. Our historical guide was A+ and really knew his stuff. I learned so much about this city and really have gained a new appreciation of it. He is a VOLUNTEER and any tips go back to Historic Columbia. How cool is that?! I also loved that the buildings that the restaurants are housed in have so much history as well!! I mean: who knew THAT about Pearlz?? I really liked that we were in front of the Adluh mill and learning about its history, then off to Blue Marlin where we actually had the grits made at that same mill. Even the "Yankees" loved the grits and were pleasantly surprised! The restaurants were a great representation of some of the different places in Columbia. Just to give you an idea, we went to Blue Marlin, SakiTumi, Liberty Taproom, Hickory Tavern, and Kaminsky's for desert. Some members in our party were worried that we would still be hungry after the tour. Nuh-uh!! At the end of the tour you've eaten the equivalent of a full meal. It left us really satisfied and wanting to come back to each place and try a meal at each. It really inspired debate about our favorite places on the tour. The Two Gals (Gloria and Janet) are just lovely! They are so sociable and fun and really know their stuff. I really appreciated the fact that the actual two gals are a part of the tour as well. One of them stays with the group while another goes on ahead to make sure everything is ready at our next stop. You can really tell that they've done everything to make sure the tour goes as smooth as possible. Email and phone communication with them before the tour was a pleasant experience and there were no hiccups of any kind. We definitely would love to go on another tour with these gals they really are A++. I highly recommend either a private or public tour with them. They even do brunch tours!

Excellent Flavors of Atlanta Food Tour (with guide Nick) - a 3-hr walking tour in/around Midtown!…read more We started with an apple pressed ale and literally world-wide award-winning burgers that are served between two Krispy Kreme donuts (usually from Shaquille O'Neills KK - but it was recently burned down - so, they use KK from another franchise awaiting the rebuild!); followed by Shrimp & Grits (or Brisket & Grits) along with a Bourbon Peach Mesh that was to die for ... could've had two ... hmm, we did! Finished up with dessert and a smokey blackberry mojito and some had shots of Red Bull ! We also walked around Midtown & learned about the area ... Nick was an outstanding young man - articulate and knowledgeable! Definitely a five-star event!

They gave us fun information about each brewery we visited and insider information of what beers to try. They also shared any piece of information they have gained over their many years of beer tasting. As visitors from out of town we also made sure we asked for restaurants and sites to see around town, Justin and Erin were happy to help out. We rode around in a clean and spacious bus with a private driver. You get picked up and dropped off at the same spot if you choose to do so. You even get a gift bag at the beginning. Over the afternoon you may even bond with your other group members and make the tour that much better. Take the next opportunity to take this tour, whether you're a local or visiting. It's worth your time and money.
