I think they were like 40 bucks but they were on sale. It was hard to find my size because UNFORTUNATELY my dad gave me his big old prizefighting mitts, but I found a pair of mittens just like I wanted. But I understand the high price it's all about demand. This place is conveniently located for people like myself who can't stay organized and remember the things that they need to take on trips. I didn't end up skiing, but I did go tubing. The next trip up I'll make sure I'm prepared but I'm glad that place was there when I needed some gloves.

This was my second time working with her and the first time she did a great job adding a corset to the back of my dress to fit my pregnant belly, though it did run me about $250, which hurt. This time going to Olga though, it cost the same amount, $250, and she hemmed the dress and added cups. She did not take the dress in on the sides like we discussed so the dress does not fit at all. When I tried it on at the store, I asked what could be done about the fit of the dress and she said "nothing, it's just the dress." I'm not the expert, she is. So I didn't say anything. However, the bridesmaids dress I have is nothing special and there is zero reason it couldn't be taken in to actually fit me. Especially for $250. Not only that, but the cups were sewn in so wonky that the fabric is all bunched and pulled across the chest. I had to cut them out. And to top it off, she did not hem it short enough. Now I'm left scrambling days before this wedding trying to jury-rig this dress to make it fit and look presentable. I don't know what to do. I'm no seamstress, so it looks pretty awful. So overall, I spent $250 for a hem and cups that I had to cut out.

You can buy veils and bridal jewelry here too. My 2016 Pronovias gown retailed for $5000+ and I left there with it for $315. I love that all the proceeds go to women and children of domestic abuse. I loved knowing that my gown purchase was helping others. My gown needed some work (beyond being taken in all over) and they recommended that I see the best seamstress (The Gilded Thimble). Church Street Bridal is located on the second floor of the YWCA. Upon entering the room, I was quickly greeted by a sales associate who explained the layout of the room and told me what sizes to look for. After that, I was left alone to browse through the numerous amounts of wedding dresses that were donated by designers and boutiques! Dresses ranged from $200-$500. On the mezzanine level of the second floor you'll find a smaller selection (maybe about 4 racks) of dresses that were discounted. The manager explained that dresses they aren't able to sell get transferred to this area. I was amazed no one wanted a lot of these dresses! Dresses in this area were less than $200. On the lower level of the YWCA was Church Street Bridal Too, which housed formal and bridesmaid dresses. The selection down here wasn't nearly as large as the wedding dresses, but there will still an impressive selection to choose from. Dresses in this area cost up to $150. After swiping through tons of wedding dresses, I eyed a dress that was put on the hold area. It was exactly what i was looking for, so I asked if it was spoken for. Luckily for me, the bride to be who had it on hold found another dress just moments ago. Score! I went to the back area to try it out, came outside to check it out in the mirror, and knew that this was THE dress! After trying on several dresses, I found THE one I see myself walking down the aisle in. Hooray! =) Even better, it only cost me $315 (with tax). I also scored a formal dress to wear to a wedding for $42 (with tax). Double hooray! Support a great cause and check out Church Street Bridal...I'm definitely a fan! Great selection of dresses to choose from and helpful sales associates who help you get into your gown/offer up some helpful advice. The wedding dress came back completely unwearable--shoulders didn't fit, buttons were falling off, seams were uneven, and the stitching was coming undone. We had to buy a replacement dress just days before the wedding. Other dresses, including the reception gown and a bridesmaid dress, also had major issues. I gave the owner every opportunity to make things right--she acknowledged the problems and agreed to issue refunds. But after weeks of follow-ups, nothing was processed, and I've now been blocked from contacting her. I've been more than fair, even offering to absorb the cost of the original dress, just to resolve this peacefully. Instead, I was left with added stress, financial loss, and no accountability. Please think twice before trusting this business with anything as important as a wedding gown. I would never want another bride or family to go through what we did.
