Anna is a misleading, dishonest saleswoman. She mislead a 17 year old into purchasing a dress for prom, which totaled $380.25 and then when my daughter was sent home without a dress, Anna refused to give her a refund. Anna does not state on any of the receipts that the purchase was final, and therefore the proper customer service aspect of business would most certainly be to refund us. The dress was bought the same day the refund was requested, and yet Anna spoke over me on the phone, belittled myself and my daughter, and when she raised her voice and I thus reciproctaed, she hung up on me not once, but twice. I am utterly appalled at her behavior as a community business. She is uncouth, lacking in forth righteousness and my daughter now is A. out of money, B. out of a prom dress, and C. cannot attend prom due to the aforementioned. My child is 17. I purchased my bridal gown from Anna Joy's this year and I have to say, I had a wonderful experience. I tried 4 other places before ending up at Anna Joy's and the experience I had there out-shined all of the rest. Too many bridal boutiques are all about getting you in and out of there quickly, not taking time with you and truly listening to your needs. I won't even leave 1 star but it's making me! I was told me alterations would be 25 for a hem, 25 for a bustle and 45 for corset if I needed it. First I was argued with and Anna refused to do the corset (my fluctuating weight is a concern) Next (before my final fitting) I am told my alterations are 243 dollars!! Then when I go in the dress is too short and the side seams start in different places! Anna kept pulling the dress down to reach the floor, which pulled it off my breasts exposing my bra! I was very upset and she told me just give her what I feel is fair. I returned today to do just that! I entered the store and Anna was not there so the girl at the counter said she was calling Anna and I stated what I was going to pay and why as Anna had instructed. The girl goes in the back to call Anna and comes out with my dress and hands it to me, at which time I handed her what I thought fair for a dress that is not done right, essentially ruined! I get a call about an hour later from Anna that I need to come back and pay her more or she is calling the police!!! Well now I'm being hauled into civil court by Anna over her mistake!!!! Don't use her she messed up my dress and had every excuse why it was MY fault !! read more

Anna Joy's was the only place I actually went to find my wedding dress. They have an amazing selection! Jessica and Ann both were amazing with helping me find my perfect wedding dress. Jessica pulled so many dresses to help me determine style and fit I liked. Once it was down to two I liked Jessica and Ann discussed what the differences were depending on the look I was trying to go for. I discussed my wedding venue location with them and they provided excellent input on what dress would be more of a "wow" factor for the location. I love my dress! Jessica was even super helpful in helping my sister find her perfect bridesmaids dress even though we hadn't set up an appointment. The service I received was excellent and I felt like it was tailored for me and my day. The fittings related to my dress were also great. Ann and Jessica paid attention to great detail when it came to altering the dress. They made sure I felt comfortable with the changes each time. I had sleeves added onto my dress and they checked each time to make sure they felt comfortable and to my liking. On the last fitting Ann even provided cute ideas to incorcorporate my mothers wedding gown since I decided not to wear it for my wedding. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Anna Joy's! If I have an event that I need a formal dress for I will make sure that I go back! I went here a few weeks ago with the intentions of purchasing my wedding gown. I had a $5,000 budget (which was very flexible thanks to my very supportive fiancé). After spending 2 hours inside and feeling a sense of stress and discomfort, I left. The owner Anne is a mess. She's very rude and clearly doesn't know how to operate a business. She called me fat and told me that my dream dress was old-fashioned and that it made me look even "wider". The interior of the store was very drab and outdated. Her associate Felicia was amazing on the other hand and worked very hard to help me every way possible. She is the only reason why I am giving this disappointment of a shop, 3 stars. I took my business to a competitors shop. If you insist on going to Anna Joy's, avoid Anne as much as possible and visit with Felicia. That's my recommendation. read more

Not only did I find the perfect dress but the staff was extremely patient and helpful. The owner, Ann, went above and beyond to make sure that the alterations were complete and done to my satisfaction in time for the event. My fiancé's experience with this store the past few days have been very troubling. It's already very stressful to plan and organize your own wedding, so to get even more stress from a bridal shop was something we were not looking forward to. It first started when we were choosing bridesmaid dresses a few weeks ago. We looked at a few and finally chose the one that would go with the theme of our wedding. Asked the associate what we needed to do so that the bridesmaids could come in on a later date and try the dress on and get it sized and so forth. About a week ago one of the bridesmaids entered the establishment and mentioned my fiancé's name to try the dress on. There was no account of any dress associated with her name. So my fiancé has to ask to leave work early, drive to the store right before they close, and pick out the dress since they have so many and it couldn't be done over the phone. Apparently all the notes that were taken for this dress were on a sticky pad which was magically thrown away and not entered into the computer system as promised. The dress gets taken care of for bridesmaids one and after the purchase we were informed that this was the last dress and that another one would have to get shipped. Why this information wasn't told to us prior is beyond me since we explained several times that we have three brides who will try this dress on. We purchased a second dress and made the decision that the maid of honor will choose a different dress. The experience with the maid of honor choosing a dress went great and we were told to come back to get the dress altered. Today the maid of honor went to get the dress she chose altered and was met with extreme rudeness saying the maid of honor picked a complicated dress and that she doesn't want to do it and suggested the maid of honor go somewhere else to get it altered. If the dress was so difficult to alter then we should've been informed prior and not told it could be, get to the place to waste our time, and then deal with snarky remarks about not being able to do this. I highly recommend anyone going to get any kind of dress to please mark this establishment off your list. Rude owner, poor customer service, and lazy staff. Thank you. read more

I needed a dress for a military ball and I was having a hard time finding the kind that I needed to wear for the occasion but Ann and Kristina helped me so much. I told them exactly what I was looking for and they pulled dresses for me that fit the description I gave them. When a girl dreams about her wedding day, she dreams about her future spouse, and her dress. Anna Joys has all but ruined the dress experience for me. I have been so upset by the way I was treated and their overall customer service, that when I look at this beautiful dress I bought, all I feel is anger, sadness, and frustration. Before the purchase was actually made, the folks at Anna Joys were all smiles, sunshine, and service. However, after they made the sale, the service went downhill. On the day I purchased the dress, the saleswoman assured me that their in-house seamstress would be able to do my alterations. However, after the dress arrived, they told me that she would be far too busy with prom and pageants to alter my wedding dress. They also told me I had to make an appointment just to pick up the dress. When I asked for the reason behind this, the salespeople just repeated that I would need an appointment to pick up the dress I had already purchased. I live about an hour from the shop, and between their schedule with appointments and my schedule, it was almost a month before I could actually go pick up my dress. They made it very clear that I was not welcome unless I had an appointment...again, after spending over $1000. At this point, I decided to have a conversation with the owner before I left a bad review on social media. She was so apologetic and ensured me that they were going to make the experience a wonderful one. Well, that didn't happen. Sit tight, folks, because this story gets worse. When I arrived at the shop to pick up my dress, the owner took me in the back room to show me all of the prom and pageant dresses...I guess she was trying to prove that they were actually busy with prom and pageant, but please don't waste my time. I drove an hour to be here for my WEDDING DRESS, I don't give a FLYING FLIP about the pageant dresses that are apparently your priority. When I was leaving with the dress, the owner told me she was "throwing in a free garment bag as a gift because of the trouble." EXCUSE ME? Were you going to let me leave with this dress without a garment bag? I also bought my prom dresses there, and I happen to know they always throw in a free garment bag. Please don't try to pretend you're giving me some kind of special treatment by doing the bare minimum. She then gave me a hug and told me she wanted me to be happy. I was furious at this point and did not want a hug. Now, you'd think that if the shop had an entire month between the time the dress arrived and the time I picked it up, that they might check and make sure they ordered the right dress. NOPE. They ordered my dress a size too large. While I do understand that it's easier to alter a dress that is too large rather than too small, the dress itself has some very ornate detailing that would not have had to have been altered if they had ordered the correct size. When we called to address the issue, they told my mother that because the dress was made in China, and that China was "closed for the month of January" due to a holiday, they would not be able to order the correct dress and have it at the shop in time for my June wedding. Just for fun, I called another shop in the area that carried the same exact dress, and they told me they could rush order it and have it within a month. Basically, the owner lied because it was going to be more expensive to rush-order a replacement dress than to try and fix the one they had. The owner then lied AGAIN to my MOTHER and told her that she herself was the seamstress and would do the alterations herself. This was after she had already told me that "the seamstress" was going to be too busy with prom. They also sold me an undergarment that didn't fit, promising that the cup size could be altered, and when I took it to a seamstress, she said that cup sizes cannot be altered. I confirmed this fact with several other professionals in the industry. They refused to refund the undergarment (never worn, tags on, receipt DID NOT say 'all sales final'). What they finally did was cover the cost of my alterations, with the exception of the hem and bustle. However, we had to FIGHT them to get them to do anything except blame China for their mistake. I was in tears for weeks over this issue. I would've had a better experience at Davids Bridal. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

I created a Yelp account just so I could share how impressed I am with Anna Joy's, with the owner, Ann, and with her seamstress. I was the matron of honor at my sister's wedding. We had a major dress disaster 6 hours before the ceremony. I was in from out of town, but was familiar with the shop since my sister had found our bridesmaids' dresses at Anna Joy's. In a complete panic, I called Ann to beg for help. I thought my sister's dress was ruined, and asked Ann to please pull a few sample dresses that she might be able to borrow for the wedding. Ann immediately agreed to do so, but also asked that I bring the "ruined" dress in to see if she could help. As she said, they work miracles over there. A couple hours later, the dress was salvaged (amazing work by Ann and her seamstress). Ann was incredibly sweet and professional, even in the face of three very emotional ladies.
