How does this place have good ratings? Good service???…read more Aight... I came here at 1pm today... The girl told me it will be ready in 1 - 1.5 hours. I come back two hours later at 3 pm. I asked her what the status of my iPad is... she said they opened it but it wil be another 45 mins. I asked her why? I guess she didn't like my tone. She got really defensive and said she has other materials she is working on and that it will be another 45 minutes. She proceeded to say that other places wil make you wait longer. Heifer Idgaf about other places and no they don't make you wait this longer... this is literally the longest I've waited. No apologies, no accountability, give me the parts from China and I'll do it myself at a fraction of the price. I came in here out of convenience which turned out to be a total waste of time. Brief update: the owner or the manager saw my review and said that my business is no longer welcome. For future reviewers... leave a review after they complete the service.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!…read more All I went in for was a broken screen repair. My phone was returned working, but afterward, I started experiencing multiple issues that I had never dealt with before. My GPS randomly stops working, my phone service cuts in and out, my speakers lag during calls, calls sometimes don't come through or go out, and my phone randomly switches into SMS mode. I can't say for certain what caused these problems, but the timing is extremely concerning, especially considering that all I originally needed was a screen replacement. When I called to address my concerns, the manager was extremely rude and dismissive. I asked for a refund, but she refused. Instead, she offered to open my phone back up for another repair, which I was absolutely not comfortable with after my experience. What really made the situation worse was her response. She questioned what she was supposed to do, suggesting that giving me a free screen would mean losing money. At that point, it felt like the business cared more about its profits than customer satisfaction. A customer shouldn't have to argue just to have their concerns taken seriously. The way management handles problems matters just as much as the repair itself. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this business.

I bought 2 systems here, had some…read morerepairs done (before I knew how to assemble my own PC's), and a bunch of components - monitors, keyboards, mice, speakers, etc. Most of his merchandise are inexpensive, low-quality imports from Asia (China, Thailand, etc.) so high-end and big name brands are not their forte. Also, while things "look" like cheap imports, I don't think overall they're cheaper than Fry's, Central and Pixel USA, Benitek is a 1-man business so can't beat anybody on pricing I think. It's just very convenient if you live in that North SJ area, as opposed to running the Fry's gauntlet. Ben is a nice guy, his English is heavily accented, so intriguing thought-provoking conversation can be put on the backburner, but he knows computers very well and he won't try ripping you off, but go in with some idea about prices of whatever you happen to be looking for first 'lest you pay a little too much.

Unbeknownst to him I was already planning on upgrading my guitar so he wasn't seeing dollar signs, yet he still took the time to talk with me about the issues I was having and was extremely helpful if only to affirm my suspicions. He was very knowledgeable and freely shared his experience and know how. I played several guitars and decided on a nice Takamine...granted not a $3000+ Taylor, but still close to a $1000 guitar. (BTW the price was the same as online...no price gouge for buying local) After getting it home and spending some time playing I kept noticing a buzzing that I hadn't heard in the store (it was noisy that day). Needless to say I was gut sick thinking I spent that much money on a "lemon". I also didn't want to deal with sending it to the mfg as a warranty issue as I've had little luck getting resolution that way in the past. I called and talked to Don the owner and he put my fears at ease saying to give it a week or so to acclimate to the new environment, but if it didn't clear up to bring it in and they would look it over, and make any adjustments that may be needed no charge. If they couldn't fix it they would replace it. It was still buzzing after a week so I brought it in...of course thinking the worst. In the end it was a simple fix that was so simple I'm too embarrassed to say what as I've played for over 20 years and should have caught the problem, but needless to say they were so gracious, helpful, and willing to do what they could to make me happy with my purchase they have earned my loyalty.

In addition the adjustment of the bass was done poorly. When you asked the Manager regarding time frame he doesn't have a clue. They were not communicating with me until I scold the manager that the least the can do is communicate with customers as to the status of your equipment. They broke the case of my bass and they did replace it a month later. I paid money for my bass to be adjusted and new strings. got the strings but the adjustment was not done properly. The strings are hitting the frets. Terrible Terrible I also Left them my Ampeg SV7 Pro to be repair. They do not have any reliable technician who is responsible to do the work. They take your equipment and it seats on the floor for weeks before the technician looks at it and then the technician does not even looks at the amp. I place a tape on the side of the amp where if the Tech opened the amp to diagnose it would brake. The tape was intact no breakage. That means the tech did not open to diagnose. I know this is a long review but going to this store is a waist of time and money. The manager doesn't have a clue as to when you order a product when it will be in the store. It's very simple when you order product get a tracking number and you will know when it will arrive. Or have an idea. I would not recommend this store they lost my business and I will have this information posted on my webpage and internet radio station Tropicjazz.net
