I have been a patient at HOA for over 10 years. I've been…read moretreated by both Dr.Sheft and Dr.Worden. In fact, Dr.Sheft has operated on my various sinus problems twice. The reason for the two surgeries is the availability of procedures and techniques. The first surgery was to correct as many issues as possible with my sinuses such as polyps and poor drainage. The second surgery was to use a new technique to correct my constant swollen turbinates. While I still can have sinus infections, my day to day life has benefited tremendously from Dr.Shefts's surgery. I no longer have a constantly stuffy nose and I can breathe with my mouth closed. Dr.Worden has also treated my sinuses. He has treated a number of sinus infections. The past infections were treated with oral antibiotics. When I was treated for my last sinus infection, Dr.Worden decided to try medicated sinus washes. The results proved to be amazing. My sense of smell and taste quickly returned. While my allergies are under control, my sinuses can still be an issue. I know that HOA will be ready to diagnose and treat them.

Meredith, the audiologist, was very thorough and asked…read moremany pertinent questions before performing the hearing test, which was done in a "quiet booth" for my 91 year old mother. After the test, she explained the results, options and made a recommendation, which was quite different from her prior experience (8 years before). My mother agreed with Meredith, who then made the mold of her ear. They called when the hearing aid was ready; this visit was with the other audiologist, Eric. He was just as thorough in explaining the use and care of my mother's hearing aid, then fit her and programmed it using the computer, which fine tuned it to the right level. Eric patiently answered all the questions my mother asked him. So far, I am pleased that my mother can now understand everything I'm saying to her without having to repeat myself! I'm sure our other relatives who come to visit her will be pleasantly surprised. The location is 1 block off of the Parkway exit ramp (exit 135) if you're driving northbound. If coming southbound, you just go around through the intersection. The waiting area is clean, with more than enough comfortable seats. There were plenty of open spots in their parking lot. There are NO STAIRS, which is wonderful ~ only a small curb separates the wide driveway from the sidewalk, which the front door is level with. The woman at the front desk, Val, is business-like and helpful. She completes their staff of 3. Their hours are VERY LIMITED (10-4, M-F) which caused a 3 month delay between the 1st & 2nd appointments which conflicted with my husbands work hours and when he was next able to take off. He is the only one my wheelchair-bound mother trusts to transport her anywhere. In the interim, my mother spoke with a friend of hers about her experience; the friend told her that there are companies who will come to a patients home. Aside from that problem, which most likely would affect a small number of their patients, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Hearing Center for their attributes and would have given them a 5 star rating! If I learn of any changes or additions to their hours and/or days, I will post an update to this review.

He always makes me feel like he genuinely cares about my health, and about me. But recently I had a problem where my primary care doctor said, "You need to see an ENT doctor," and ENT and Allergy Associates came through for me in a big way! When my GP told me to contact an ENT doctor, I called ENT and Allergy Associates, and although Dr. Burachinsky was all booked up that day, they squeezed me in with Dr. Abrahim. He correctly diagnosed my problem, told me what to expect, prescribed meds, and even asked me if I had any questions for him. Then, when I got worse, I called on a Saturday morning, and though the Bridgewater location was closed, I reached a receptionist at one of the other locations (the Oradell office), and she was able to get me in to see Dr. Brody at the Hackensack office, that very morning. It wasn't even really her job to book appointments at other offices, but she could tell how upset I was, and she helped me by contacting the Hackensack office. To have a skilled specialist see you on a couple of hours notice on a Saturday deserves special appreciation... and I really did appreciate everything that everyone did to make sure I saw someone quickly! I agree with the reviewer who said the sometimes the wait time is excessive... but when I was really sick and in pain, ENT and Allergy Associates came through for me, and made sure I was cared for and on my way to recovering.
